The real Suguru Getō is dead
In 2017, Suguru released a curse at an elementary school that swallowed two children. However, the curse is defeated by Yūta Okkotsu and Rika Orimoto. Some months later, Suguru goes to the Hapina Gallery to see the vengeful S-class spirit, Rika. Suguru releases a powerful spirit and makes it fight against Yūta and Toge Inumaki. After the two manage to defeat the curse, Suguru expresses his disappointment at Rika’s non-appearance.
Suguru also says that he will have to meet Yūta soon as he will have to return his student card, which one of his spirits stole. Afterward, Suguru returns to his base. A few days later, Suguru helps a woman cursed by a spirit. The woman openly expresses her gratitude over the fact that the curse has been exorcised and leaves. Following this, Suguru expresses his distaste for non-exorcists.
He is informed that his superiors have come when Manami Suda appears. One of Suguru’s donors, Kanemori, unexpectedly arrives as Suguru and his companion make their way to the meeting. Kanemori grumbles that Suguru must perform an exorcism on him because of how much he contributed to his religion. Manami agrees before pointing out that he hasn’t given in six months. After killing Kanemori, Suguru leaves for his meeting. Informing his fellow Curse users that they will soon be attacking the Tokyo Metropolitan Curse Technical College, Suguru catches up with them.
Later, Suguru and his allies show up at the Tokyo Metropolitan Curse Technical College. He introduces himself to Yūta and informs him of his plans to exterminate all non-exorcists to establish a world populated solely by exorcists, a plan that Yūta finds objectionable. The faculty members unexpectedly arrive and inquire as to why Suguru is present. On December 24, 2,000 spirits will be released in Japan, according to Suguru. Suguru then departs with his adherents, but not before leaving some curses at the high school.

Suguru brings Rika to the Tokyo Metropolitan Curse Technical College on December 24. Suguru finishes up all of his rivals before erecting a curtain around the entire school. The next opponents Suguru faces are Maki Zen’in, Panda, and Toge, whom he easily dispatches. Yūta shows up and then becomes irate, but Suguru is pleased to see exorcists giving themselves over for other exorcisms. Yūta and Rika are the targets of multiple curses from Suguru, but he manages to fight back, save his companions, and heal them. Suguru releases additional spirits when Yūta rejoins the fight, but Yūta uses Rika’s strength to thwart them.
Suguru confesses his desire to own Rika after acknowledging just how powerful her ability is. Yūta is engaged in close combat with Suguru, who defeats him, prompting Rika to yank Yūta away from Suguru. The lord of curses discusses his thoughts on non-exorcists while Suguru confronts Yūta. Although Suguru breaks Yūta’s blade, the latter rushes at him anyhow.
Suguru decides to use his Maximum: Uzumaki technique to unleash all of his curses on Yūta and Rika following a brief debate between the two. Yūta then decides to release Rika’s maximum power, even at the expense of his life, to both unleash Rika’s full potential and fire an attack that is potent enough to defeat all of Suguru’s demons and drive them away. After having his right arm severed, Suguru declares his intention to possess Rika. Suguru then encounters Satoru, and the two start conversing. Before being done, Suguru gives Yūta his student ID card back.
After that, Satoru chooses not to donate Suguru’s body to the Tokyo Metropolitan Curse Technical College. This allows an entity named Kenjaku to take possession of Suguru’s corpse, reanimating him and giving him access to all of his abilities. The man who is now called “Suguru Getō” by many people is, in fact, an impostor, and we are going to reveal these details in the final section of this article, so be prepared for the intriguing truth related to the impostor.
The Suguru Getō we’ve seen in Jujutsu Kaisen is actually Kenjaku
So, now that you know that Suguru Getō is definitely dead, you know that he really is not alive in Jujutsu Kaisen. But, his body is seen, and the guy using it is telling everyone that he is Suguru Getō; of course, Satoru saw through that mask, but even he himself did not know who it was originally.
Namely, the impostor was initially named Pseudo-Getō, but it was later revealed that he is a powerful ancient sorcerer called Kenjaku, who had the ability to possess corpses, so he took Getō’s corpse and posed as him for the time. He could also use Getō’s original powers and techniques. Kenjaku is, along with Sukuna, one of the principal villains in the series, and it will be interesting to see how the protagonists will defeat him.
