My Hero Academia does an excellent job of convincing us that we can all be superheroes in our everyday lives while also reminding us that we are all special in some manner.

Since its release in 2016, the anime has gained in popularity across the world, frequently rating as one of the top younger generation shounen anime. On Rotten Tomatoes, the program now has a flawless reviewer score of 100 percent and a 90 percent audience score, indicating that it is a force to be reckoned with.

The story follows Izuku Midoriya, a young kid who, despite his lack of abilities, wishes to learn to become a hero. Izuku is quickly taken under the wing of Japan’s greatest hero, who recognizes his promise.

The program is a homage to and mild satire of American superhero books and films, and the franchise has become so famous in Japan that it was used to advertise Avengers: Endgame.

The anime series My Hero Academia has been a huge hit, and it will be renewed for a fourth season in Fall 2019. My Hero Academia: Two Heroes, a spinoff film set between seasons 2 and 3, is set between the events of the first two seasons.

Despite the streaming giant’s efforts to cater to the anime audience with additions such as Tokyo Ghoul and Attack on Titan, this modern classic among the anime is actually no available on the site as of the time this article was written.

Seasons one through for was featured until November of 2020, but after that, the series was removed.

The only way you could bypass this unfortunate predicament is if you had a VPN. Although its primary use is the protection of the user’s data online by trafficking it through an encrypted virtual tunnel, currently the more popular use for VPNs is using it to change your location.

If you actually have a VPN the only thing you need to do is set your location to India and your Netflix will feature My Hero academia. As with all good things, there is a catch.

Although the series is there, it doesn’t actually feature an English dubbed version. Regardless of your opinion on the everlasting debate on which is better, subs or dubs, this is a massive negative side for many watchers.

Luckily, it’s 2021, and the days of Netflix being the only good streaming service that features a large selection of media are long gone. There are so many other options you can turn to if you want to check out this particular anime.

The series is featured on many popular anime streaming services such as Crunchyroll and AnimeLab as well as the more popular streaming service such as Hulu. All of these streaming sites offer a free trial before you make a commitment and a month gives you plenty of time to watch the series.

Many fans also speculate on whether the show will be added to Netflix as new seasons come out, however, due to legal disputes, it is unlikely the show will be coming to the streaming giant’s library any time soon.

Where can I watch My Hero Academia dubbed?

As we previously stated the show was previously featured on Netflix, however, the site didn’t feature an English dub version or any dub version aside from Japanese for that matter.

For a long time, the series was licensed to Crunchyroll, a popular streaming service that caters to an anime-watching audience exclusively. However, the site also didn’t feature a dubbed version.

Although this may not seem like a big deal, many anime watchers consider this a huge disadvantage. Despite many claiming that the voice acting in dubbed versions is often bad and immersion breaking, others are adamant that because of the face-paced action, focusing on subtitles significantly affects the experience of watching the anime.

Luckily for people who prefer dubbed animes, there is a solution. Funimation Entertainment recognized this problem and create their own dubbed version which is featured on their streaming service.

Since they have all the rights to the dubbed version it is featured on their streaming service exclusively. This is actually a part of the bigger licensing deal between Funimation Entertainment and Toho Co. Ltd.

The main part of the deal was the license which allowed the site to stream the entirety of the series on their site. The deal secured Funimation Entertainment rights to home entertainment, video on demand, merchandise, and broadcast distribution of the series.

This allowed them to feature the series for streaming and luckily it is available almost worldwide with both dubbed and subbed versions.

This deal also secured the rights which ultimately lead to the series being taken off from Netflix. Because Funimation Entertainment now had exclusive rights to home the series, Netflix was forced to pull the show after their contract regarding licensing rights for My Hero Academia expired.
