Jensen Ackles Timothee Chalamet Join Forces as Batman Robin in a Fan Made The Brave And The Bold Trailer

When James Gunn and Peter Safran revamped the DCEU into the DCU, it was clear a new Batman movie, ‘The Brave and the Bold,’ was on the horizon. The burning question for many was who would step into the iconic role of Bruce Wayne, a coveted part for aspiring actors in the genre.

Among fan favorites for the role are Alan Ritchson, who has expressed strong interest in the character, and Jensen Ackles.

Jensen Ackles was chosen to portray the Dark Knight in the latest fan-made concept trailer, alongside Timothée Chalamet as Robin. Ackles, who already lends his voice to the character in ‘Tomorowverse,’ has expressed his desire to play the live-action version too. The trailer gives viewers a glimpse of how these two popular actors might appear in their respective roles, and you can watch it below.

There’s not much information available about the upcoming movie. James Gunn announced ‘The Brave and the Bold’ on January 31, 2023, as part of the DC Universe’s Chapter One: Gods and Monsters reveal, featuring Batman and his son, Damian Wayne. The Hollywood Reporter revealed on June 7, 2023, that Andy Muschietti is the leading candidate to direct the film, pending the resolution of the 2023 Writers Guild of America strike. Variety confirmed Muschietti’s hiring as the director on June 15, 2023.

What we do know about the movie is that it will be based on Grant Morrison’s series ‘The Brave And The Bold.’ The series follows Batman and his mercenary son, with a focus on Bruce Wayne’s struggles to control his son’s rebellious nature while teaching him the ropes.

James Gunn mentioned that while Batman will be present, the main focus will be on Damian Wayne. The complex relationship between father and son will be explored, described by Gunn as “a very strange father-and-son story.” We’re excited for the upcoming DC content set to arrive in the next couple of years.
