But, despite all of that, as well as all of the love he’s been getting from the fans, Satoru Gōjō is still a very mysterious figure, as Akutami never really bothered to answer all of our questions. No, Satoru Gōjō does not have a sister in Jujutsu Kaisen; this might change in the future as a Deus ex Machina solution, but it doesn’t seem likely that Akutami is going to introduce his sister in the future. If you stumble upon a “sister” of his somewhere on the Internet, we have to tell you that she is not real but rather a fan-created character, as officially, Satoru Gōjō does not have any siblings. Yūta Okkotsu is Gōjō’s only known living relative, but even he is a very distant relative of his.

Namely, if you look around the Internet, and the Internet is a marvelous place, you will find a lot of strange and new things.

One of these strange things is the fact that Satoru Gōjō has a sister. What?! you might ask yourselves, as someone who’s seen the anime and read the manga. Gōjō has a sister?! Since when?! And then you go around the Internet to identify that same sister and find, like in many cases, absolutely – nothing.

So, does Gōjō have a sister? No, he does not. Little is known about his family, but from what we know officially, the guy has no siblings, and it doesn’t seem likely that that is going to change in the near future. If you ever do come across a “Gōjō’s sister,” do know that she is just a fan-created, made-up character and that such a character does not exist within the Jujutsu Kaisen canon; such things aren’t rare, as fans tend to be creative, but we can only confirm that they are not true and that Gōjō does not have a sister. So, what is known about Gōjō’s early life, anyway?

Satoru Gōjō was born in Japan on December 7, 1989. After he was born, the balance of power changed, and Satoru became the target of numerous bounty hunters and had a reward placed on his head, all because he was so powerful and unique. But his strength was such that they were powerless to resist him, which signaled the start of the Jujutsu Sorceres’ successful era over their adversaries. Such was his power, and that is why he is such a special character in the first place.

Aside from that, nothing is known about his childhood and his family life. And while we do know the circumstances of his birth and the consequences of his birth as well, Gōjō’s past remains a mystery. We do not know who his parents were; from what we can deduce, he has no siblings, which is what we have been saying from the start of the article. These details have not been revealed, and from what it seems, they are not going to be revealed ever, which is a bit sad, seeing how Gōjō probably has a very interesting family history.

We can think of two reasons why his family is such a mystery. It could be that there is not much to tell, really. We don’t know what Akutami has in store for us later in the series, but with the focus shifting to other topics, it might just be that Gōjō’s family history is unimportant. We’ve found out some details, but a larger study of his family tree might not make much sense from a narrative standpoint, so Akutami never provided us with any precise data. This is the first possible explanation.

On the other hand, it might be completely different. Namely, it is not uncommon for a character’s past to be kept secret in the world of manga and anime because it is extremely important and will have implications for the main plot. This could also very well be the case in Gōjō’s case. Seeing how powerful and important he is, it seems a bit strange that Akutami chose to reveal nothing about his past, so it could be that his past will be pivotal for the main plot and that he is keeping it a secret for a reason. Still, he does hate Gōjō, so it could very well be that he simply wants to write as little about him as possible.

Having said all of this, we can actually conclude this first section. This is all we know about Gōjō’s childhood, family, and close relatives. Some information about his distant relatives has been revealed, but more is in the next section. All in all, this is everything we know, and this is, definitely, enough for us to confirm that Gōjō does not have a sister, which is the main question of this article.

Only two of his relatives have been revealed so far

As we’ve explained above, Satoru Gōjō does not have any siblings, as far as it is known at this point in the story. It looks unlikely, considering how Akutami hates his most popular character, that he is going to introduce such a close relative so late in the stories, but we might be surprised, although, as we’ve said, we don’t think it’s very likely. So far, only two members of Satoru Gōjō’s family have been confirmed, and they are his former pupil, Yūta Okkotsu, but he is a very distant relative, and an ancestor named Michizane Sugawara, who is both Yūta’s and Gōjō’s ancestor.
