Kelsey Grammer Hints at a Promising Future for Beast in the MCU: “There was a huge sort of outburst when I showed up”

Even before the release of Deadpool & Wolverine, the MCU had introduced several mutants and X-Men characters, although they were not directly identified as such. Upcoming projects focusing specifically on the X-Men are set to address this.

One of the latest mutant appearances in the MCU features Beast, a prominent mutant. Kelsey Grammer appeared in the post-credits scene of The Marvels, where he seems to be collaborating with Monica Rambeau’s mother, Maria, in the alternate reality Monica finds herself in at the movie’s end.

An X-Men live-action reboot is on the way, with Michael Lesslie writing the script. From what little is known, the reboot will feature a younger team of X-Men and include characters who haven’t yet been adapted to live-action.

Rumors suggest that Wolverine may be included in the new lineup, and Halle Berry has hinted at her return as well. Kelsey Grammer has also teased his comeback, confirming it in a straightforward manner during an interview with ComicBook.

There’s nothing I can talk about. What I do know is that there was a huge sort of outburst when I showed up at the end of The Marvels, I guess it was. The response was really almost… it wasn’t unexpected. There’d be some response, but it was pretty overwhelming, and so there are some conversations.

Grammer portrayed alternate versions of Beast in X-Men: The Last Stand and X-Men: Days of Future Past. Even if he isn’t the main version of the character in the new reboot, his story, along with those of Monica and Maria, could still be explored in future projects, especially with incursions becoming a significant element in the MCU.
