Star Wars became a popular brand in all kinds of media, from movies and TV shows to toys and video games, and the newest video game with the Star Wars name on it is set to come out next month. A Danish toy production company LEGO® is known for adapting many popular franchises into their line of toys, and Star Wars is one of the most popular. Not only because of the line of toys but also because of the video games that combine both LEGO® and Star Wars brands into one entertaining product for fans of all ages to enjoy.

Many video games based on LEGO® were released, and many of them also adapted other media properties like Star Wars, Harry Potter, Indiana Jones, Pirates of the Caribbean, Marvel, DC, etc. The first LEGO® Star Wars game was released in 2005, and since then, four more games were released. Now, the sixth game, which will combine the LEGO® brand and all nine main movies of the franchise — LEGO® Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga — received the newest trailer ahead of its release on April 5, 2022.

The DLC content for the game was already announced. On the day of the game’s release, a DLC pack featuring characters from The Mandalorian Season 1 and Solo: A Star Wars Story will be released. On April 19, the second DLC pack featuring Rogue One: A Star Wars Story characters will be released. And on May 4, the Star Wars day, we can expect another DLC pack which will bring characters from The Mandalorian Season 2 and The Bad Batch animated series.

LEGO® Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga will be released on April 5, 2022 for PC, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.

He calls them "the four rulers of the fantasy genre." He loves to write about anything spawned from those franchises (books, games, movies...), as well as anything branded with the Marvel or DC logo. Video games and their adaptations are also something he follows faithfully since he's a big fan of story-driven single-player games like Assassin's Creed, The Last of Us, Uncharted, etc. His favorite video game ever is Red Dead Redemption 2.
