The upcoming ‘X-Men’ reboot in the MCU is highly anticipated by fans, as it will officially introduce the team into the expansive cinematic universe and restart the franchise previously held by Fox.

Details about the movie are scarce, but the studio aims to strike a perfect balance between humor and drama, while also bringing previously unadapted mutants to life on the big screen.

Recently, it was revealed that Michael Lesslie has been selected by the studio to write the script for the upcoming ‘X-Men’ reboot. Lesslie is best known for his work on ‘The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes,’ making him a strong choice for this project.

According to notable scooper and leaker Daniel Richtman, Lesslie has already pitched his proposed team for the MCU, featuring the complete roster from ‘X-Men ’97.

This means the MCU’s reboot would feature a team consisting of Cyclops, Wolverine, Rogue, Storm, Beast, Gambit, Jubilee, Jean Grey, Professor X, Morph, Bishop, Magneto, Nightcrawler, and Sunspot.

It’s clear that Lesslie aims to leverage the success of the animated series. The show has been a surprise hit for Marvel Studios, earning consistently high ratings from both critics and audiences. It was renewed for a second season even before the premiere of the first, and there are already discussions about developing a third season.

However, fans have expressed discontent about seeing the ’90s X-Men team once again, particularly because Kitty Pryde appears to be replaced by Jubilee.
