Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is now behind us, although we’ll rewatch it soon when it drops on Disney+ on June 22. Now, Marvel fans are focusing their hype on the upcoming 29th MCU flick — Thor: Love and Thunder — which is set to be released in only one month.
The upcoming fourth installment of the Thor saga already got two trailers, and now it received a new short clip, which was revealed at a recent MTV Awards event. In the clip, we see Chris Hemsworth’s God of Thunder looking for Mjolnir, and once he almost reaches it, the Mjolnir flies away from him, right into the hands of Natalie Portman’s Jane Foster, who returns to the MCU now.

Officially announced at San Diego Comic-Con 2019, Thor: Love and Thunder is the first fourth solo movie that a hero received in the MCU. Taika Waititi, director of Thor: Ragnarok, signed to write and direct this sequel as well, and Natalie Portman was announced to return as Jane Foster. The movie will follow a comic book storyline in which Jane Foster will wield Mjolnir and acquire the powers of Goddess of Thunder to cure herself of cancer, while Thor will enter a battle against notorious Gorr, the God Butcher, who is played by Academy Award-winning actor and former Batman star Christian Bale.
“Thor embarks on a journey unlike anything he’s ever faced — a quest for inner peace. However, his retirement gets interrupted by Gorr the God Butcher, a galactic killer who seeks the extinction of the gods. To combat the threat, Thor enlists the help of King Valkyrie, Korg and ex-girlfriend Jane Foster, who — to his surprise — inexplicably wields his magical hammer. Together, they set out on a harrowing cosmic adventure to uncover the mystery of the God Butcher’s vengeance.” — Thor: Love and Thunder, official synopsis
