One Piece: How Did Some Help Sanji Defeat Queen?
Among other things, Vinsmoke Sanji is known as the most simp-prone character in the series, as he simps basically every good-looking female he comes across. At the same time, Sanji is very respectful towards women and would never even fight one, regardless of the circumstances. Remember when we talked about whether Sanji ever hit a woman? Well, in this article, we will revisit that situation and the characters involved, as the most recent episode of One Piece saw Some return and help Sanji defeat Queen. Now, how and why did the girl whom Sanji had supposedly hit help him? Keep reading to find out.
Some did not plan on helping Sanji, but when she returned to find her mouse Chūji, she was discovered by Queen, who was furious that Some lied to him about being ill when he wanted to pay for her geisha services. Queen then attacked her, and when Sanji saw that, he was so furious that he was able to develop the Ifrit Jambe technique and defeat Queen with it. So, this is how Some accidentally helped Sanji win.
In the rest of this article, we will talk about how Some’s accidental return helped Sanji win against Queen. We will also remind you of the incident involving Some as it happened in Wano Country and all the details surrounding it. The article will explain how Some actually helped Sanji, i.e., how seeing Some being attacked by Queen helped Sanji win against the powerful member of Kaido’s crew and kick him off Onigashima.
Sanji was initially blamed for hurting Some, but it was actually Queen all along
Now, before we actually focus on the most recent episode, let us quickly summarize what happened to Some in Wano Country and how she is tied to the incident in which Sanji supposedly hit a woman, despite his promise that he would never, ever do so. Some, also known as O-Some, is a geisha from the Flower Capital of Wano Kuni.
She has a mouse named Chūji. Some live as geisha in the Flower Capital, and after the apparent death of number one Oiran, Komurasaki, Some has become Queen’s new sweetheart. However, some have rejected his advances dozens of times. On the day of the Fire Festival, she was then taken to Onigashima by the Beasts Pirates to entertain herself during Kaidou and Kurozumi Orochi’s celebrations.

During the raid on Onigashima, most of the Geisha actually hid in the Left Brain Tower Pleasure Hall, but Some went out into the hallway, where she encountered a running Sanji. Sanji was, at the time, struggling with his transformations, and he was focused on himself rather than his environment.
Some was afraid, and she yelled that she meant no harm and that he does not have to hurt her, but Sanji seemingly ignored her, and the next thing we saw was a badly hurt Some on the ground, a scene that implied that Sanji had hit her. Sanji thought he did, but no one knew the truth then. This is why the Geisha were furious with Sanji later and why Sanji had a crisis of identity, as he was afraid that he was becoming like his siblings due to the transformations.
Still, as it turned out, Sanji never hit Soma, even in the state he was. It was actually Queen. Namely, Queen had used his invisibility powers to hide from sight. At the exact moment when Sanji was passing by Some, Queen hit her and injured her; this was discovered only later after Some recovered.
Seeing Some getting hurt by Queen helped Sanji kick the latter’s ass
When Some recovered, she was with other geisha on the second floor of the left tower, where the fight between Sanji and Queen was raging. But, as their room was almost completely destroyed, the geisha decided to run away as soon as Some was able to walk, but the latter noticed that her pet mouse, Chūji, was missing. Contrary to what she had to do, Some was able to get up and went looking for her mouse Chūji on the battlefield, where Sanji and Queen were engaged in a bitter fight. When Some finally saw Chūji and wanted to take it off the battlefield, Queen, who was once again using his invisibility skills, was also present and became furious when he actually noticed that Some was healthy.
Namely, Queen was a frequent visitor of the geisha, and he wanted to pay for Some’s services on more than one occasion. Still, Some rejected him every time, as she was repulsed by him (who wouldn’t be, really), lying that she was ill. When Queen saw her and observed that she was healthy, he was furious and wanted to hurt her again out of revenge. However, Sanji didn’t allow this time and attacked Queen instead, stopping him from injuring Some.

Seeing Some in danger, Sanji was actually able to activate a new ability, as he combined the genetic modifications he had accepted as part of his persona (while, at the same time, rejecting his family heritage) with his Busoshoku Haki, thereby creating the powerful Ifrit Jambe. Using several enhanced and even some new techniques, Sanji defeated Queen in battle and rescued Some, whose presence thus helped the Straw Hats’ cook defeat the powerful enemy.
After defeating Queen, Sanji returned Chūji to the geisha, but he soon passed out from tiredness. Some requested assistance. After that, she attended to Sanji and bandaged him. Some people became alarmed as Sanji abruptly stood up after hearing Luffy’s presence again. Following Sanji, she and the other geisha tried to flee the Skull Dome’s flames but were unsuccessful because the island had crumbled. When Raizo inundated the dome using water, they were protected from the flames. Some, however, found it difficult to fend off the flow’s force and were forced to cling to Sanji in order to stay afloat.
