Sanji vs. Queen: Who Won the Fight?
One Piece is an anime that certainly has its fair share of strong and powerful characters. Most of them are protagonists or their allies, but One Piece has also introduced us to a lot of powerful antagonists. In light of that, the focus of this article are going to be a Straw Hat Pirates crew member, Vinsmoke Sanji, one of the best cooks in the series, and Queen of Kaidou’s crew, since the two of them have actually fought in Wano Country in one of the arc’s best fights. In this article, we are going to analyze the two, as we are going to pit Queen against Sanji to determine who the stronger of the two is and to tell you who won the fight.
Using Ifrit Jambe, a more powerful variation of his Diable Jambe technique, Sanji was able to knock down Queen, and then he used his BÅ“uf Burst technique to finish him off and send him flying off Onigashima. Queen might seem imposing, but with Sanji’s skills and willpower, Sanji was able to defeat one of Kaidou’s strongest men.
The rest of this article will further elaborate on the above-given answer, as we will compare Queen and Sanji in more detail. Through several categories, you are going to see who the stronger of the two is and are going to present the outcome of their fight in the series. If you haven’t read the manga, we have to warn you that there are going to be spoilers in this article.
Physical powers
Sanji’s kicks are the main source of his strength and power. Sanji has extraordinarily strong legs and feet that are capable of smashing boulders and easily overcoming opponents who are much bigger than him, demonstrating that he possesses highly superhuman leg strength. (such as Bananawani or Mohmoo). He can move with more agility and superhuman speed because of his legs, as demonstrated by the fact that, despite losing to Kalifa in the end, he could easily keep up with her. (although he stated that he would refuse to fight a woman).
Sanji primarily uses his legs to battle, but his arms are so powerful that he can stand on them, increasing his adaptability to many situations. He can also perform a handstand with just one hand. Despite being repeatedly subjected to tremendous strikes to the head and chest that only minimally harmed them, his body displays superhuman resistance.
He even managed to properly acquire an El Thor from Enel while still conscious for a bit, taunting his assailant in the process. Sanji’s speed, which is on par with Brook’s and Luffy’s in gear two, is one of his greatest assets. He can move so quickly that he can evade detection and assault individuals without anybody being able to even notice him. His body has gotten significantly faster and stronger over the past two years.
Queen has demonstrated quick enough reflexes to easily parry Luffy’s Gomu Gomu no Gun and toss it to the side. He has extremely superhuman endurance, as seen by his ability to stay awake and even stand up immediately after being attacked twice by Big Mom. In addition, Queen is exceptionally quick despite his enormous height and weight.
In terms of endurance and raw strength, Queen definitely surpasses Sanji, but it is a fact that Sanji’s kicks and his fighting skills were enough to defeat Queen, which is why we have decided to split the points in this category.
Points: Sanji 1, Queen 1
Devil Fruit
Vinsmoke Sanji is a very powerful character. He is known as one of the most powerful characters in the series and one of the series’ best one-on-one fighters. Now, Sanji’s powers and feats suggest that he has consumed a Devil Fruit, but is that true? It’s not – namely, Vinsmoke Sanji has never eaten a Devil Fruit. This makes Sanji one of a very small number of characters (the most notable other ones being Zoro, Shanks, and Mihawk) who are extremely powerful but have not actually consumed a Devil Fruit; most of the other powerful characters have to thank their Devil Fruits for their individual reputations.
The ancient Zoan-style Devil Fruit known as Ryu Ryu no Mi, Model: Brachiosaurus, which Queen ingested, allowed him to change into a brachiosaurus. After he is fully converted, Queen grows enormously, outstripping even Big Mom, who stands at nearly eight meters. He is able to use the brachiosaurus’ distinctively long neck in battle, mostly to strike opponents that are far away. His physical weight has also significantly grown, which he may exploit to her advantage because few opponents can resist the force of his enormous, altered body slamming into them.
This category is fairly easy, as Sanji does not have a Devil Fruit, whereas Queen does. In light of that fact, Queen definitely wins this point and there is no dilemma about it.
Points: Sanji 1, Queen 2
Haki
Although Sanji has demonstrated proficiency with both Kenbunshoku and Busoshoku Haki, the former is his area of expertise and is what he is best known for.
Sanji is skilled at using Kenbunshoku Haki and even has a specialization in this style of Haki. With this kind of Haki, he was able to perceive the presence, power, feelings, and intents of other people. Even he was astonished when Charlotte Katakuri, who was a more skilled user of Kenbunshoku Haki, fired a projectile at him.
Sanji can use Busoshoku Haki in its most potent projection form. Despite the fact that the hit from Judge’s spear injured him, he did not demonstrate any use of this Haki prior to the fight. During their battle on Whole Cake Island, Sanji was also able to injure Luffy. Sanji used Busoshoku Haki to protect Carrot from Charlotte Daifuku’s brilliant attack later in the same story arc, just after he and Luffy had returned to Sunny.
We know that Queen is able to use Kenbunshoku Haki and Busoshoku Haki, as we have seen him use them in the series. We also know that he cannot use Royal Haki. As far as any specific details are concerned, we don’t really have them, as Queen’s Haki has never been at the forefront of the series, which is why this is all we have.
And while both of them can use the same two types of Haki, the fact that Sanji was able to overpower Queen when they fought implies that Sanji could be better in this category, which is why we’re giving him the point.
Point: Sanji 2, Queen 2
Weapons
Although Sanji’s premise as a cook is to keep his hands just for cooking, he has faced off against many weapons during the play. Sanji, according to his father, underwent sword instruction. The extent of Sanji’s expertise is unknown, though, because he only uses his hands for cooking and avoids risking damage to them during combat.
When using knives, he does, however, demonstrate remarkable handling skills and is quite precise, not hesitating to juggle many blades with finesse. He also exhibits great ambidexterity, using both of his hands equally to hold two knives simultaneously against Wanze. He is able to slice Wanze’s ramen and place the pieces in a dish with enough accuracy. Kitchen knives aren’t designed for cutting people, as Sanji explains in his distinction between them and Sabers.
One of the two cutlasses Queen wears around his waist, which is strapped to the side since he tried to cut through Sanji’s torso, was shattered. Moreover, Queen has access to unique collars that release blades from within. Twenty years ago, Queen attacked The Nine Red Pods with some kind of bat. Queen attacked X Drake with a machine gun in Onigashima. Drake’s own response suggests that the bullets from that weapon are uncommon. Zoro eventually destroyed the weapon.
Queen uses a variety of cybernetic modifications to his body to substantially aid him in battle. He asserts that he is a cyborg with technological prowess beyond that of even Vegapunk, the greatest scientific mind ever and Queen’s former companion. The numerous high-tech weaponry and mechanisms that Queen has put inside his body are frequently used in conjunction with his devil fruit powers.
His upgrades include rocket launchers, metal claws, laser beams, and extending mechanized limbs. He has a machine gun, fake fangs, and a laser beam cannon on the inside of his mouth when he transforms into a brachiosaurus, the latter of which is a particularly advanced piece of technology that great engineers like Franky and Vegapunk have only imitated. He also has artificial fangs on the end of his brachiosaurus tail. In addition, a mechanical cable that is integrated into his neck area allows him to expand his brachiosaurus neck’s already great reach. He also features voice-activated rocket launchers on his sides and retractable needles in his teeth.
And while it might seem that Queen’s powerful arsenal would trash Sanji, it’s not about the weapons you have but rather about how you use them. Queen lost to Sanji despite his powerful arsenal, so we have decided to split the points here – we cannot deny that Queen’s weapons are more powerful than Sanji’s, but it obviously wasn’t enough.
Points: Queen 3, Sanji 3
Sanji was able to defeat Queen in Wano
Sanji and Queen clashed in Wano Kuni in one of the arc’s best fights. Queen had been chasing Sanji ever since the incident with Some, where Queen framed Sanji for hitting the young geisha, although Sanji would never hit a woman, and the two of them faced off in a bitter fight. Although it seemed that Queen would win, Sanji was ultimately able to use his Ifrit Jambe, a more powerful variation of his Diable Jambe technique, Sanji was able to knock down Queen, and then he used his BÅ“uf Burst technique to finish him off and send him flying off Onigashima. Queen was latter apprehended by the Marines.
