Solo Leveling is a South Korean novel series that has recently seen an anime adaptation. Arguably the most popular manhwa in the world, Solo Leveling is sure to attract a lot of attention, especially in light of the fact that the anime adaptation is truly great. While we’re enjoying the episodes, we have decided to cover some events from the series, and the one we are going to be covering in this article is the meeting between Jinwoo and Jinho after their defeat of the “Lizards”. During said meeting, Jinho asked Jinwoo whether he wanted to join his Guild, which surprised Jinwoo. In this article, we are going to tell you how Jinwoo responded and what actually happened there.

  • Article Breakdown:
  • During the incident with the “Lizards”, Jinho discovered Jinwoo’s true power, as well as the fact that Jinwoo was an obvious “False Ranker”. This was a fact that had previously been unknown.
  • Seeing the potential in Jinwoo’s powers, Jinho asked to meet him and made an offer to him there: he asked him to become a member of his new Guild.
  • Although Jinwoo initially declined the offer, Jinho managed to convince him, which – in turn – led to the creation of the Ahjin Guild in the world of Solo Leveling.

Jinwoo was initially reluctant to accept the offer

The story we are about to tell you starts off with the “Lizards” and the incident that happened with them. As you know, a group of “Lizards” led by Dongsuk invited Jinwoo and Jinho to join them on a raid. Once there, they realized that they needed to sacrifice the two weaker Hunters in order to get the giant spider boss to fall asleep, so they left them in its chamber, hoping that the spider would kill them, eat them, and go back to sleep.

But, as it turned out, they had no clue about Jinwoo’s true powers and the protagonist was, in front of Jinho’s eyes, able to defeat the spider and then, because he was forced by the System to do so, killed the “Lizards” as well. He scared Jinho a bit, but the young Hunter realized just how powerful Jinwoo was and he decided to stick by his side. So, what happened next? Well, the two of them gave the Guild a false story about the “Lizards” being killed by the boss, and since there are no cameras in a Dungeon, no one could actually prove that and that’s how it all ended.

But, not much later, Jinho invited Jinwoo for a talk and the two of them met to discuss business. Jinho explained that while he was weak, his father had a lot of money and if Jinho proved himself to his father by forming a Guild of his own (a successful one, of course), his father would reward him. Knowing Jinwoo’s potential, he asked him to become the first member of his Guild. Did Jinwoo accept?

He changed his mind and this led to the creation of the Ahjin Guild

Well, the initial reaction was not what Jinho had hoped for. Sure, Jinwoo was not a member of any Guild at the time, but he did not really want anyone to know about his new powers, so entering a Guild at the time and under such conditions wasn’t really something he was planning on doing. So yes, he initially rejected Jinho.

The boy, on the other hand, wouldn’t give up. Knowing that Jinwoo probably needed more persuading, he decided to offer him two things. The first thing he offered to him was secrecy. He would not reveal his secret to anyone and even within the Guild, his powers would be kept a secret. The second thing he offered him was an apartment building worth 30B won (26M USD); his father had a construction company and was very wealthy, as we’ve said.

On top of that, Jinho clarified that all he needed was for Jinwoo to help him complete 19 additional raids, after which both of them would be getting what they wanted. Now, under such conditions, Jinwoo decided to reconsider his decision and after realizing that the benefits were greater than the drawbacks, he ultimately agreed and so the Ahjin Guild was officially formed. Okay, it was formed a bit later, but this was the pivotal moment.

Before completing this, Jinwoo entered the Demon’s Castle S-Rank Dungeon to test his skills and was able to defeat Cerberus, but he quit for the time being, as he was not strong enough to defeat the other bosses.
