Next summer will be the “summer of Superman” as the DCU’s first live-action movie, ‘Superman,’ hits theaters. We’ve learned a lot about the film’s production from following its shooting in Georgia and Ohio.

There are also some plot details out there, thanks to leaks, rumors, and James Gunn’s own comments. Despite some fans criticizing the film for looking cheap, there’s no doubt that everyone is excited for the first trailer, which Gunn has called “the true start of the DCU.”

Recently, Gunn mentioned (or joked) that the ‘Superman’ trailer is ready and on his hard drive, with rumors suggesting it could drop by the end of December.

Frank Grillo, who will play Rick Flag Sr. in the upcoming movie, has said that the trailer is amazing and that it made him feel “hot” just by watching it. This confirms that the trailer is ready, but there’s a catch.

Writer and filmmaker Dan Marcus shared that a nearly finished version of the trailer was shown to WBD’s Michael De Luca, who told the editor to “make it better.

Marcus said he’s excited about the Superman trailer and noted that Warner Bros. is feeling a lot of pressure for it to be liked. The studio reportedly asked for several different versions of the trailer to find the best one.

He explained that the trailer editor showed the studio a nearly finished version weeks ago, but the studio wasn’t happy and requested changes. He also pointed out that the marketing department has recently been reduced, making things more difficult.

James Gunn has already responded to the claim on social media, explaining that he did ask for another cut, but the feedback was more detailed than just “make it better.”

Now we’re even more excited for the trailer! What are your thoughts? Share with us in the comments below!
