Wanda’s Possible Return in ‘Vision’ Hints She Could Be Back Even Sooner—As Early As Next Month
The MCU has an exciting lineup of projects set to be released in the coming years, with two of the most intriguing being Agatha All Along and Marvel’s Vision, a series centered on White Vision.
These two shows, along with WandaVision, have been confirmed to form a trilogy. James Spader is set to return as Ultron, and while it’s rumored that Elizabeth Olsen will reprise her role as Scarlet Witch, this has yet to be officially confirmed.
It makes perfect sense for Vision to include Olsen’s character, given her deep connection to Vision in the MCU. If Scarlet Witch does appear in Vision, it’s highly likely she’ll also show up in Agatha All Along.
Agatha All Along will follow Agatha Harkness as she breaks free from the Scarlet Witch’s spell and seeks to reclaim her power. The show is set to explore the Witches’ Road, a mystical and perilous realm filled with possibilities for spellcasters. Many speculate that Wanda will appear in the Witches’ Road, potentially resurrected by Agatha, either intentionally or by accident.
This theory is supported by the frequent references to Scarlet Witch in the trailer and the confirmed casting of Joe Locke as Billy Kaplan, aka Wiccan, who is Scarlet Witch’s son. Kaplan’s inclusion is significant, as Agatha All Along could be laying the groundwork for an adaptation of the Children’s Crusade storyline, a long-rumored possibility.
The Children’s Crusade is a Marvel Comics storyline centered around the Young Avengers and the Scarlet Witch, published as a nine-issue miniseries from 2010 to 2011.
In The Children’s Crusade, the Young Avengers, a team of teenage superheroes, set out to find and confront Wanda Maximoff, the Scarlet Witch. Her reality-warping powers had caused catastrophic events in the Avengers Disassembled and House of M storylines, leaving lasting consequences on the Marvel Universe.
In the MCU, Billy might use Agatha or the Witches’ Road, once Agatha regains her powers, to bring back his “mother,” Wanda. Although Agatha may not be as powerful as the Scarlet Witch, she could have enough magical strength to trigger a series of events leading to Wanda’s resurrection.
It’s possible that Agatha, in reclaiming her power, might be compelled to resurrect Scarlet Witch, potentially leading to Wanda’s return in a cameo or post-credit scene.
Even if the rumored Scarlet Witch solo movie doesn’t materialize, the rapid introduction of characters connected to her suggests that her influence in the MCU is far from over.
