Wesley Snipes Responds to Speculation About His Comeback as Blade

The Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) is bustling with numerous upcoming projects set for release over the next few years. Among them is the highly anticipated ‘Blade’ reboot, intended to introduce the iconic vampire hunter from comic book lore into the MCU.
Mahershala Ali spearheaded the project and is set to portray the titular vampire hunter. Initially slated for a 2023 release, the film’s debut has been postponed to 2025 (thus far) due to Ali’s dissatisfaction with the screenplay.
A few weeks back, we talked about some big rumors saying Wesley Snipes might be back as Blade. Lots of fans got excited because, for them, he’s still the best vampire hunter. The rumor even said he’d be in several projects as part of the Multiverse Saga.
Now, Snipes caught wind of the rumor and had a funny response that might just shut it down.
Snipes’ tweet doesn’t necessarily confirm anything for sure. Given his age, he might not be up for multiple projects, but a quick cameo could still be on the table.
The ‘Blade’ reboot has had its fair share of ups and downs, with the story undergoing numerous changes and Mahershala Ali nearly backing out at one point. Several actors, like Aaron Pierre, have also dropped out for undisclosed reasons. Recent reports suggest that the movie’s plot has been simplified to focus solely on Blade hunting vampires, with filming set to begin in Mexico.
While Snipes’ reaction adds fuel to the speculation, we’ll have to wait and see if he actually makes an appearance in the movie. Got something else to share? Drop it in the comments below!
