How Did The Marshal Get Boba’s Armor?

Eventually, we saw Boba Fett’s armor landing in possession of Cobb Vanth, the marshal, during the events of season 2 of The Mandalorian. As part of the deal involving the Krayt Dragon, he had to give the armor to Din Djarin because it was against the code of the Mandalorians for non-Mandalorians to wear Mandalorian Beskar steel armor. But how did the marshal get the armor?

It starts with Star Wars Episode VI: Return of the Jedi when the Sarlacc swallowed Boba Fett in the fight against Luke Skywalker. But we saw in The Book of Boba Fett that he survived getting swallowed by the Sarlacc because the creature takes its time to digest its prey, and Boba had protection in the form of his armor. He had the awareness to use his flamethrower and fight his way out of the Sarlacc pit.

However, he was tired and drained after fighting his way out of the Sarlacc’s belly, and that was when he collapsed on the sands of Tatooine. A group of Jawas arrived to strip Boba of his armor, which was how Fett lost the armor that once belonged to his father. Meanwhile, in the small town of Mos Pelgo, Cobb Vanth was struggling against the Mining Collective, which had taken over the town.

To protect his people from the clutches of the Mining Collective, Vanth bought the Mandalorian armor from the Jawas and used it to free his town and become its de facto mayor and protector, not knowing that this armor once belonged to Boba Fett.
