Yellowjackets: Who Did Natalie See in the Vision & What Did They Bring Back?
The fifth episode of the second season of Yellowjackets was a bit slower than usual, however, like always, in the last moments of the episodes there were some pretty big revelations. Nat finally opened up to Lottie, and during hypnosis, she had a vision, an old memory, something that Travis was trying to tell her she was right about, right before he passed away. There were some scary scenes in that vision with one haunting figure at the forefront. Who did Natalie see in her vision & what did Yellowjackets bring back from the forest?
Natalie saw the Antler Queen in her vision. Even though the exact purpose of the Antler Queen hasn’t been revealed yet, we know that she is connected to the supernatural and ritualistic aspects of the series. Natalie also mentioned that they “brought something back” from the forest. Yellowjackets brought back some evil dark spirit from the forest which is now demanding blood and further sacrifices. It’s not clear whether the spirit in question is antler queen or the Man With No Eyes.
Now that we’ve covered what we know, it’s time to analyze both the vision and its meaning in more detail. If you’re interested in more, stay with us and keep reading!
Natalie was the key to Travis’ note all along
Travis’ suicide was a major driving force behind most of Natalie’s decisions since the start of the series. She couldn’t accept that her ex-lover had killed himself, and so she started her own private investigation, with lots of ups and downs.
We found out at the start of season 2 that Travis didn’t really kill himself. He was trying to induce a near-death experience to get in contact with something mysterious on the other side.
Lottie agreed to help him and pushed the button that hung Travis via crane. Only, the batteries failed at the last moment, and she was unable to bring him down. Lottie was responsible for Travis’ death, whether it was truly accidental, we still don’t know as Lottie might be dying, but when it comes to one thing, she was right.
Travis left a message for Natalie about how she was right about something, and the question regarding what she was right about was bothering both Natalie and Lottie this whole time.
Lottie decided to hypnotize Natalie, and well, it led to one pretty disturbing vision.
A near-death experience is a key to contacting the mysterious figure
During the hypnosis, Natalie was brought back to one time when she overdosed on drugs. Before the paramedics were able to inject her with Narcan, she was mere seconds away from dying, so she had a near-death experience.
She saw the plane in which the Yellowjackets crashed, only the aftermath of the crash looked quite different. All of them were dead, burnt to crisps. And there was a figure walking through the ruined plane, a woman, the Antler Queen.

Natalie likewise mentioned that they had woken up with something dark and dangerous when they crashed, something evil, and now they have brought it back from the forest with them.
What was Natalie right about?
We know that Travis was troubled for some time before he died. He was constantly on the verge of breaking down, and something was haunting him, calling to him. He decided to basically risk his life to get in contact with whatever was haunting him, and before he died, he left a note that Natalie was right.

Natalie probably mentioned to him before that she saw something evil in her vision, and it followed them from the forest. This is what Travis was referring to when he left her that note, as in the last few days of his life, he was trying to get rid of the malevolent entity that followed them back.
How is the Antler Queen connected to the Yellowjackets?
The exact origin and the meaning behind the Antler Queen are so far unrevealed in any official sense. All we have is theories, but the Antler Queen constantly appears, on the promo art, in the opening credits. We’ve seen Lottie sporting a similar “headgear” during the “Doocoming episode.”
Antler Queen is obviously connected to the supernatural and rituals, but we don’t know in what sense. It’s entirely possible that she is a good spirit of the forest while The Man With No Eyes is the evil entity that haunts them.
The Man With No Eyes is an entity that seems to be haunting Taissa, so it makes sense that he is the evil darkness that Yellowjackets brought with them to the civilized world.
What supports this theory is likewise the phrase that Lottie keeps uttering, “Il veut du sang” meaning HE wants blood. She was also seen sacrificing blood to a tree stump, hoping that it was enough.
Lottie is obviously connected to the Antler Queen through unknown means
Since Lottie is the “Antler Queen” in the group of survivors, she has taken on the role of a spiritual leader. Lottie’s approach was always “in tune” with nature, so it’s possible this is why she saw the shadow of the Antler Queen on the floor. It’s possible that aspect of Lottie’s personality will be forced to “awake” now that Yellowjackets are in danger once again.

Antler Queen doesn’t have to be necessarily a bad entity. She might be helping the Yellowjackets all along. In fact, she might be Javi’s female friend that saved him.
The answer to that question and pretty much all other questions will have to wait until next week when Episode 6 of Yellowjackets Season 2 drops on Showtime.
