Hell’s Paradise: Jigokuraku, sometimes referred to as simply Hell’s Paradise, is a manga series that was created by Yūji Kaku, who both wrote and illustrated it. The manga was first released on January 22, 2018, and it was freely serialized on the Shōnen Jump+ app and website. Hell’s Paradise is filled with some amazing and memorable characters, and in this article, we have decided to talk about one specific character in the series – the criminal Rokurōta. In this article, you will find out what happened during his fight against Sagiri and Gabimaru in the most recent anime episode.

After killing Eizen and mortally wounding Genji, Rokurōta faced off against Gabimaru and Sagiri. Gabimaru used his Ninpō: Hibōshi technique to make Rokurōta set the surrounding forest in flames, which made the giant choke. While he was choking, he fell down on his knees, and Sagiri used that simple fact to behead the giant and kill him.

The rest of this article will focus on Rokurōta and his death in the Hell’s Paradise series. Rokurōta was one of the most intriguing criminals in the Hell’s Paradise lore, and it only makes sense that the fans want to know what happened to this guy, so we have decided to compose this article. This article will contain some spoilers from the Hell’s Paradise manga, so be careful how you approach it.

After a bitter and complex fight, Sagiri was able to behead Rokurōta

At a later point in the plot, it is revealed that Rokurōta has been a giant since his birth, being born with an unusual case of gigantism. He lived with his family, and as a baby, he spent most of his time eating or playing with rocks. One day, he brutally murdered and probably ate his parents and then killed his whole village, after which he was arrested.

The shogun would later offer him a pardon if he went on the mission to search for the Elixir of Life, which he accepted. The first we’ve actually seen of Rokurōta is when he is with the other criminals gathered by the shogun, who informed them of the mission; at the time, he was just sleeping there.

He made his first full appearance on the island, escorted by Yamada Asaemon Eizen, the most expert executioner, who was tasked with keeping an eye on the enormous criminal. Eizen was assigned to Rokurōta as the highest-ranking executioner because he was reputed to be a monster. Even though it appeared like Eizen would be able to manage Rokurōta, things did not go well for the Asaemon. Specifically, Rokurōta awoke as they approached the island and followed Eizen. When Eizen realized this, he asked Rokurōta whether he was hungry, but Rokurōta did not respond; instead, he just stared glumly at him.

Eizen instantly started drawing his sword after realizing he was in danger. As soon as Rokurōta lunged at him with his enormous hand, Eizen quickly drew his sword to fight, but when it made contact with Rokurōta’s hand, it merely disintegrated, startling the Asaemon. The enormous hand smacked the executioner, and his body was crumpled against a nearby tree. The area was covered in blood, and soon we would witness Rokurōta devouring something from his bloody hand—likely Eizen’s head, as it was not visible when his corpse was displayed. But even though Rokurōta did, at the time, kill and consume Eizen, nothing further was known about the enormous creature.

After killing Eizen, Rokurōta wandered around the island and arrived where Gabimaru, Genji, Sagiri, Yuzuriha, and Senta were and immediately attacked Genji. Senta tried to help Genji, but Yuzuriha told him that it was too late; Gabimaru then faced Rokurōta initially, but although he was able to hit the giant, he did not do any damage; Sagiri, in the meantime, obtained Genji’s sword from him.

She rushed to help him, and he was surprised to see how she, who had just a moment ago shown the resilience of a man, showed him the compassion of a woman, but he then realized that Sagiri simply wanted to embody and embrace both aspects, which is when and why he decided to give her his blade, realizing that she had earned it.

Yuzuriha, on the other hand, refused to participate in the fight, reminding Gabimaru of their deal – she was the source of information and reconnaissance while he was responsible for the fighting. The battle progressed slowly for Gabimaru. He told Sagiri that he would fight Rokurōta but that she would have to cut his head off; Sagiri agreed, but she said that they had to get Rokurōta down on his knees, as his neck was too high for her to cut.

Gabimaru tried and tried, but the giant simply deflected his completely useless attacks; he even deflected his Ninpō: Ikari Tsubute technique with ease. Gabimaru was on the defensive, but even under such conditions, he was injured and almost killed by the giant, so he had to devise a plan – and he did.

At this moment, you might have noticed Yuzuriha taking Senta away, which confused Senta, but Yuzuriha explained that she sensed trouble, and she took herself and her retainer to safety, knowing what Gabimaru wanted to do. Gabimaru decided to use his special Ninpō: Hibōshi technique and combined it with several ninjutsu techniques, launching a series of flame attacks on the giant, which the latter deflected with ease. But this was part of Gabimaru’s plan, and Yuzuriha realized it, so she ran away to safety and took Senta with her.

Namely, the flames that Rokurōta deflected scattered around and burned the surrounding forest. This caused Rokurōta to start coughing and choking from the smoke, which ultimately forced him to get down on his knees, and at that moment, Sagiri used the opportunity to behead and kill Rokurōta, which she ultimately did. And that is how the giant, silent criminal perished in the series, with Sagiri taking his head like a baby and putting his soul to rest in peace.
