Jujutsu Kaisen: Who Is the Old Curse User Who Wanted to Kill Riko & What Are His Abilities?

With the second season of Jujutsu Kaisen finally underway, we’ve had the chance to see the beginning of Gojo’s Past Arc, which took us back to 2006, when Gojo and Geto were still students. Now, this short arc will tell an interesting story, but it will also introduce us to numerous new villains, most of which are secondary but still interesting. As we’ve said, these villains were secondary, but despite that, they were still interesting enough for us to tell you a bit about them. In this article, we will talk about the Old Curse User, one of the assassins that came to Riko’s school to kill her, as you will find out who he is and what his powers and abilities are.

The Old Curse User has remained unnamed in the series, as he is a truly secondary villain who appeared once and will not appear later in the story. He is an old guy who is able to summon curses to his aid, similar to Geto. We know that he is quite self-confident and that he is not that weak, but he is significantly weaker than Suguru Geto. As a young man, he was attached to his dog, Tasuke, who was the only one not afraid of him because he was able to see curses.

The rest of this article will focus on the Old Curse User and his fate in the Jujutsu Kaisen series. The unnamed Old Curse User is a new secondary villain introduced to the series, and while he did not have a long-lasting impact, people still want to know about him, which is what inspired this article. The Old Curse User remains unnamed, but he was an interesting secondary villain in the series

As we have already said many times before, the principal antagonist of the first part of Season 2 of Jujutsu Kaisen is going to be Toji Fushiguro, who will, despite his lack of jujutsu powers, be a very formidable and dangerous foe, even for the likes of Satoru Gojo, who is thought to be the most powerful character in the series. But, aside from Toji, several other secondary villains are going to appear in this season, and one of them is the intriguing Old Curse User who appeared in Riko’s school to collect the bounty on her head that Toji put out as part of his plan.

And while the character remains known simply as the Old Curse User, we have decided to tell you a bit about him and his story.

Not long after rescuing Riko from the attack by Kokun and Bayer of Q, Gojo, and Geto had to take the girl to school, as per her own wishes. And while she ordered them not to be near her as to avoid being seen by her friends, Geto nevertheless left some curses in the school to watch over her.

When the two of them were exorcised, it was a sign for him, Gojo, and Misato to go over to the school and save Rika. Rika was in the chapel having her music class at the time, and Gojo was the one who got to her, while Geto and Misato faced their respective opponents.

Geto faced a very old guy who looked like a sake brewer more than anything else in one of the school’s hallways. The old guy was never named, but we got part of his story. Namely, as a young man, he could see curses, and because of that, he was shunned by everyone, even his own family; they were all simply afraid of him.

But, he had a dog, Tasuke, who actually cared for him and was not afraid of him, which is why he liked Tasuke a lot and why Tasuke actually became his only friend. This is going to be an important detail in the story, which is why we told it here. Be that as it may, that guy was Geto’s opponent.

The old guy’s technique was similar to Geto’s as it seemed, as he could summon curses to aid him; two small ones were seen by his side when Geto arrived. He recognized Geto’s uniform and immediately knew he was a student. And while the old guy was quite perceptive, as he managed to notice that Geto was stronger than him, he was still confident enough that he would beat him.

He believed in his experience and his age, thinking how he could predict Geto’s movements and then surprise him. Geto saw through it, and he did not give him any time to think it over and immediately attacked him with a large, worm-like curse that seemingly ate the old guy up.

And while the old guy seemed dead, Geto suddenly noticed an attack from his side; the old Guy somehow got out of the hallway and jumped at Geto from the side, demonstrating incredible speed and agility. But, as the old guy was remembering Tasuke, realizing, probably, that he was going to lose to Geto, the young student saw his attack, blocked it, and then immediately launched a counterattack.

Namely, the old guy thought that Geto would be afraid of close-range combat, seeing how he falsely predicted his moves. That is why he made his was to him, but Geto demonstrated amazing martial arts skills and beat the old guy up in seconds. He punched him around a couple of times, and after beating him up, he left him in the hallway and went to help Misato, who was fighting her own battle.
