Mahito is a major villain in the Jujutsu Kaisen manga and anime. An important member of Pseudo-Geto’s team of villains, Mahito caused trouble for the Jujutsu Sorcerers and is infamously known for causing the death of Nanami, which is why many fans hate him. He later fought Yuji, Nobara, and Aoi Todo, seemingly killing Nobara and almost killing Yuji in the process. But, during the infamous Shibuya Incident, Mahito also lost his battle against Yuji and was almost killed. Pseudo-Geto arrived to help him and save him… but did he help him? This article is going to reveal what happened in the aftermath of Mahito’s loss and Pseudo-Geto’s arrival.

  • Article Breakdown:
  • In Shibuya, Mahito fought Yuji and Aoi Todo, and while it seemed that he would win, Todo managed to trick him for a moment, which gave Yuji an opening to defeat him with a powerful Black Flash.
  • Mahito then ran away from Yuji, scared at what he saw in front of him, as Yuji was intent on killing him, but then Pseudo-Geto arrived at the scene and offered to help Mahito.
  • Mahito quickly realized what Pseudo-Geto’s plan was, so he tried to attack him but failed, so Pseudo-Geto “helped” him by using the original Geto’s technique to absorb him.

Mahito was about to be killed by Yuji when Pseudo-Geto arrived

It all begins with a half-burned Nanami encountering a bunch of transfigured humans while walking around Shibuya. Mahito greets him shortly after and asks to talk. When Mahito learns that Itadori has arrived at the same location, he murders Nanami without remorse. Shocked and enraged, Yuji chooses to challenge Mahito to a duel—something Mahito also desires. The problem is that, theoretically, Yuji can defeat and kill Mahito because he has the ability to directly attack Mahito’s soul. Mahito has another trick under his sleeve, though, despite his powers. Namely, Yuji’s emotional condition.

Yuji was already shocked by Nanami’s death, but he managed to cope with that loss fairly fine; he did not know then that a clone of Mahito’s was fighting Nobara above them, on the streets. The cursed spirit knew he was in danger when Nobara hurt the clone, and Mahito also felt the anguish. The two clones approached each other, uniting Yuji and Nobara. Yuji was doing well at the time, but Mahito pulled a ruse. Namely, Yuji thought the two bodies would merge as they sped toward each other, so he was perplexed when they just sprinted by each other. At this point, one of the bodies touched Nobara’s left side of the face, and it burst and appeared to kill Nobara. (Officially, her fate is still unknown.)

Mahito was then ready to kill Itadori, who was completely broken, but Aoi Todo and Arata Nitta arrived to take over the fight and save Yuji. After regaining his willpower, Yuji joined his “brother” Aoi in the fight against Mahito.

When Mahito gets back up to fight, Yuji appears in front of him and unleashes a Black Flash. As they continue to battle, Mahito eventually drives his opponents from the station. Then, he faces Sukuna’s vessel and separates Aoi from him. Regretfully, Aoi, who joins Yuji, effortlessly defeats Mahito’s new creations. Mahito, who is cornered, chooses to activate the 0.2-second Domain Expansion. He succeeded in touching and severing Aoi’s hand, but he lost. Mahito couldn’t win, not even after realizing the actual nature of his soul; Yuji overcame him and was about to murder him, but then an odd thing occurred.

Mahito soon realized what Pseudo-Geto’s “help” was and tried to kill him

Specifically, when Yuji reveals to Mahito that even if they are the same, he will still try to kill him, Mahito tries to flee but runs into Pseudo-Geto, who offers to assist him. Although Pseudo-Geto offered help, Mahito soon realized what this “help” meant, which is why he became afraid of him. While Pseudo-Geto simply pushes Yuji away, Mahito then attempts to attack his ally but is unsuccessful. And this was the end of Mahito’s story.

Pseudo-Geto then decided to use Geto’s original Innate Technique to absorb Mahito inside him, just like Geto originally did with so many powerful curses before. Before being engulfed in the Curse Master’s spell, Mahito decides to tell Pseudo-Geto that he was always aware that he was a human. And that is what the “help” entailed and how the story of Mahito ended in Jujutsu Kaisen. But, it was a fitting end for such a vile villain.
