This news might disappoint fans who were hoping to see Daredevil team up with other Marvel heroes on the big screen. Especially since excitement is already building for Daredevil: Born Again season 2, set to premiere in March 2026. Leaked footage and set photos have already made the rounds online, giving fans a taste of what’s coming, and the buzz is strong.

As for Avengers: Doomsday itself, the movie will feature a massive cast. Familiar faces from across the Marvel Universe are expected to return. That includes Chris Hemsworth, Anthony Mackie, Paul Rudd, Florence Pugh, Simu Liu, and many more. Characters from Black Panther, Shang-Chi, Captain America, and even the X-Men films will all show up.

Reports suggest that Doomsday will unite the Avengers with the X-Men, the Fantastic Four, and the people of Wakanda. The villain this time around is Doctor Doom, and in a surprising twist, he’ll be played by none other than Robert Downey Jr.

The film is part of Marvel’s Phase Six lineup. It will be followed by Avengers: Secret Wars, which comes out one year later. Doomsday is scheduled to hit theaters on December 18, 2026, and Secret Wars is set for release on December 17, 2027.

Even though Daredevil won’t be in the fight this time, there’s still a lot for fans to look forward to. Cox has become a fan favorite in the role, and with his solo series gaining momentum, his presence in the MCU continues to grow.
