Namely, Levi Ackerman was created as a character who was simply above falling in love with someone, so Isayama was actually consistent in writing Levi throughout the series. He has most often been shipped with Hange or Petra, but neither of them were an actual love interest for him.

Does Levi Ackerman have a love interest in Attack on Titan?
With the Attack on Titan manga being over, we actually know what happens to Levi in the end, and here is just a quick recap. In the end, Armin transforms on Eren’s Titan while Levi and the others head back to Salta. They are happy that Reiner survived, but they are shocked that Eren and the Origin of All Living Matter also did. Levi maintains that they must kill Eren and rejects Connie’s suggestion to kill the Source. The Source starts to spew smoke into the fortress before they can attempt to attack Eren once more.
Levi commands Mikasa and Pieck to leave the citadel with him on Falco in order to avoid being in danger from the Titans, who will turn all current Eldians into Titans due to the smoke. Falco leads Levi and Mikasa directly to Eren while Pieck departs to assist Reiner in battling the centipede. Mikasa deduces that Eren is within his Titan’s jaws, and Levi uses a thunder spear to create a pathway inside so that he may kill him.
Levi sits against a rock as the Titans’ might is destroyed and the Eldian families start to reconcile. He has a vision of his killed teammates watching him and requests that they be allowed to see the outcome of their labor. Levi responds to the troops’ greetings by doing the same. Levi relocates to Marley three years after the Salta Battle. He is taken care of by Gabi and Falco and is confined to a wheelchair permanently as a result of his injuries.
As you can see, the hero of humanity actually had a very grim ending for himself. He was left permanently disabled and in a wheelchair, being cared for by Gabi and Falco. He wasn’t in any condition to have a family, nor did he ever have one. Somehow, his ending up alone made sense based on his whole portrayal throughout the manga, but this was still a bit of an overkill, although it does make sense from a plot-driven perspective. Be that as it may, it is now obvious that Levi Ackerman never ended up with anyone, but did he ever have a love interest throughout the series? He did not.
Although he was close to some characters, no relation of his could be characterized as romantic. He never felt anything for anyone in that way, and that was quite clear, regardless of what some fans might say. This was also later confirmed by Hajime Isayama himself, who said that Levi was always the kind of character who was above such things. He was very goal-driven, and his goal focused on defeating the Titans, which is why he never actually cared for trivialities such as love and emotions. He was simply envisioned like that and Isayama was consistent in portraying one of the heroes of the series from the beginning to the end.

Hange Zoë
Levi Ackerman and Hange Zoë collaborate as senior Survey Corps members. On occasion, Hange seems to enjoy making fun of him. Levi frequently refers to Hange in an insulting manner and appears to find his unusual conduct annoying. Levi rudely discarded Hange when they first met. Though he doesn’t share her fixation with the Titans, over time, he learns to value Hange’s knowledge of them. Instead of some of the Titans being captured, he would rather murder them. Even if Hange’s peculiar behavior could seem hostile, they depart and have faith in the other person.
Hange can only share her excitement with a select few people because Levi is obviously somewhat irritated by her. Hange will withdraw from her till she has finished her speech if he talks too much again. In an interview, the author also reveals that Levi occasionally knocks Hange out so he may wash her because she frequently has too much research to complete, either a shower or a wash.
Okay, Hange Zoë would definitely be our first pick if we had to give Levi someone to form a couple. The two of them have worked together closely, and while their relationship was certainly dynamic, to say the least, they certainly did grow fond of each other, and they cared about each other. But, from what we can gather, it was exclusively a platonic and working relationship, as it does not seem like either of the two developed any romantic feelings towards the other.
There is also the fact that we still don’t know Hange Zoë’s actual gender, as the character was obviously made to look ambiguous. Most people refer to her as a female, and so have we in this article to make it easier, but this has not been confirmed, and since we don’t know Levi’s sexual orientation, we don’t know whether the relationship between Hange Zoë and him ever had any potential.
Petra Rall
The sole female member of the top team, Petra was a pivotally important character for the series and its development. She felt proud of this. Like the other members of his squad, Levi has faith in her. She died, though, on the 57th Expedition. The group must retreat while escaping from Titans. They scatter bodies to lessen their ballast. Levi, who gave the order for the drop, is upset that Petra’s body was one of the casualties.
This story never actually developed really, as Petra died early on in the story. Now, Levi did care deeply for her; that much was obvious. But, there are two explanations for this. The first one is that he really did like her in a romantic way, but due to his goal-driven nature and his portrayal in general, Levi never acknowledged these feelings and so this potential ship was doomed from the start. Based on what we know about Levi and his story, this doesn’t seem like the likeliest of outcomes.
The second explanation is that Levi actually cared for her because he felt responsible for her and considered her to be a close friend. He hand-picked her to join the unit and he was, in a way, responsible for her. He admired her talents and her skills, but knowing that he was a true leader, he also never wanted to see her getting hurt. In that aspect, Levi’s emotions could be interpreted as being purely platonic. He did care for Petra, but only as a friend and as a subordinate for who he was responsible as the unit leader.
In the end, we can conclude that Levi does, indeed, have feelings for Petra, albeit it’s not apparent if they were romantic or just friendly. It demonstrates that Petra was just as significant to him as his former friends Furlan and Isabel were. Levi appears to be significant to Petra as well because she respects him. Her father, therefore, believes that she wants to wed him. However, there is no proof of a love connection between Petra and Levi and this is just another ship, since Levi – as we know – did not end up with anyone in the end.
