Wendy Darling is a secondary protagonist of Disney’s Peter Pan movie which was released in 1953. Her character also appears in the original book released in 1911, and since then became one of the most popular fictional sidekicks ever.
4. Willow Rosenberg (Buffy the Vampire Slayer)
Willow is a witch in the popular teenage show from the 1990s and 2000s, Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Willow is Buffy’s best friend, who usually helps Buffy in her adventures.

One of the most iconic fictional bears of all time, Winne Pooh always brought calming, and cool vibes. He is soft-spoken, sometimes a bit naive and thick, but unbelievably kind which quotes move us to tears even today. At first a nerd, Willow became an amazing, assertive, and powerful witch.
6. Wall-E (Wall-E)
Wall-E, also known as Waste Allocation Load Lifter-Earth-Class, is the protagonist of a notable Disney/Pixar animated feature movie of the same name from 2008. He is programmed to haul the garbage plaguing the Earth in the distant future but stays alone on the deserted planet after humans move away. The only robot that made me cry, besides Terminator.
7. Wong (Marvel)
Wong is a fictional character of Marvel Comics and one of the biggest Doctor Strange allies. He is a current Sorcerer Supreme and librarian of Kamar-Taj in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and acts as a bridge between Doctor Strange and other MCU characters.
8. Watari (Death Note)
Watari is L’s handler and the supplier of logistics for the Japanese Task Force. He is a founder of the Wammy’s house, an orphanage that produced amazing detectives – one of the is L.
9. Dr. Watson (Sherlock Holmes)
John Watson or just Dr. Watson is a fictional character in the notable detective book series Sherlock Holmes, written by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. He is Sherlock’s best friend and ally who keeps a quirky and problematic genius detective sane.
10. Werther (Sorrows of the Young Wherter)
One of the most depressing characters in classic literature, Werther is the main protagonist of The Sorrows of Young Werther book, which was written during the Romantic movement by Johann Wolfgang Goethe.
11. White Rabbit (Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland)
White Rabbit is a fictional character from the notable Alice’s Adventure in Wonderland book written by Lewis Carrol. He meets Alice at the beginning of the book and leads her to the rabbit hole where she ends up in Wonderland.

Will Turner is a fictional character in the notable movie franchise Pirates of the Caribbean. He is portrayed by Orlando Bloom as a blacksmith who embraced his pirate heritage and worked with Jack Sparrow.

Also known as Scarlet Witch, Wanda is one of the most, if not the most powerful witches in the Marvel Universe. Mostly a tortured soul, Wanda went unhinged multiple times, without her wanting it. She is probably the most popular superhero at this point.
15. Walter White (Breaking Bad)
Former chemist and eventual major criminal and drug dealer, Walter White is one of the most notable antiheroes that appeared on television in the last fifteen years. He became a drug manufacturer after he has been diagnosed with terminal lung cancer, to provide for his family.
16. Wonder Woman (DC)
Also known as Diana Prince, Wonder Woman is probably the most iconic female superhero of all time. She is really powerful, and her skills are used for protecting the Earth and other universes. She is an original member and founder of the notable superhero group Justice League.

People are still wondering where he is… When we manage to find him, we will write a bit more about him, until then, he is a mystery.

Bucky Barnes has been Steve Rogers’s friend since the 1940s, but the Winter Soldier first appeared in 2005, and since then has been an important part of the Marvel comics, especially since the portrayal of the character in the MCU by Sebastian Stan.

There were a lot of Wasps over the decades but Jane Van Dyne, the wife of Hank Pym, Hank Pym himself, and their daughter Hope Van Dyne has been the most notable portrayal of this cool character.
21. Wonder Man (Marvel)
Wonder Man first appeared in the 1960s, but because of DC’s suspicions that Marvel tried to copy their notable heroin Wonder Woman, Stan Lee and Jack Kirby discontinued the character. Despite the problems at the beginning, Wonder Man became one of the most notable Marvel superheroes and he will be in future MCU projects.

Will Blake is the main antagonist of the Goosebumps book The Werewolf of Fever Swamp, and a major antagonist in the Goosebumps movies.
23. Will (Pokémon)
Will is a fictional character in Pokémon games. He is a trainer that trains Psychic-type Pokémon and is a member of the Indigo Elite Four. His appearance is quite interesting and exotic.
24. Wartortle (Pokémon)
Wartortle is an evolution of the first generation Pokémon called Squirtle, at level 16, and when it reaches level 36, it evolves into Blastoise. One of the most notable evolutions in the Pokémon games is a Water-type Pokémon.

Also known as Peter Pettigrew is one of the secondary antagonists of the Harry Potter franchise. Wormtail is Pettigrew’s alternate name when he transforms into a rat, his animagus form – a former friend of James and Lilly Potter until he sold them to Voldemort.

Willy is a pug of the famous EastEnder characters Ethel Skinner and is always by her side wherever she goes. Willy is a mischievous dog, who is always looking for trouble – once he ate Ethel’s expensive steak for Ethel’s pies, and sneaked into Fowler’s house to eat their turkey.

Wendy Wu was portrayed by Brenda Strong.

A former Marine, and a modern-day Ranger in Texas who believes in the Code of the Old West, Walker is one of the most iconic fictional characters ever. How would not he be when he is portrayed by the most perfect man alive – Chuck Norris.
32. Will Byers (Stranger Things)
Will Byers is one of the protagonists of the famous teen Netflix show, Stranger Things. His life changed abruptly after he got possessed by Mind Flyer from the alternate world Upside Down. After the kidnapping and eventual rescue, Will still hears and feels Upside Down.
33. Will Gardner (The Good Wife)
Will Gardner is one of the characters in the popular CBS television law drama, Good Wife. His character was a fan favorite and Alicia’s best friend. He also helped Alicia a lot, especially with the problems with her marriage, and has romantic feelings for her. He is killed in the fifth season of the show.

Will Horton is one of the characters in the daytime TV soap opera Days of Our Lives. His character is notable for his coming-out story and was the first character in this half-a-century-old show to have a gay wedding and marriage.

Wombles are fictional characters that appear in children’s novels since 1968. They’ve been really popular in the United Kingdom, and the characters got really popular when the novels were adapted into the TV animated show.
42. Will Smith (The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air)
Will Smith is a fictional character from the notable 1900s sitcom The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. His story begins when his mother sends him from Philadelphia to Los Angeles to his rich cousins. The rest of the opening credits song will explain Will’s journey further.

The main protagonist of the notable game Shadow of Colossus, Wander is a player-character game. There is not much known about him except that he is trying to save his sister, and that he is a good fighter.

Weezing is a Pokémon that appeared both in the anime and Pokémon games – most notably Pokémon Red, Blue, and Green in 1996. It is a Poison Type Pokémon, and it evolves into Koffing. Team Rocket possessed one in the anime.

Widowmaker is one of the playable characters in Blizzard’s game Overwatch. She is equipped with a cool sniper that can interchange its functions during combat – either short or long-range. She is quite an agile and versatile character and an Assassin type of character.
46. Warrior of Light (Final Fantasy Dissidia)
Warrior of the Light is the main character of the Final Fantasy Dissidia games and is playable in all games as well. His first Final Fantasy appearance occurred in the 14th game. The character does not know their real name so everyone calls them Warrior of the Light.
47. Wakka (Final Fantasy X)
Wakka’s character is one of the protagonists in Final Fantasy X. He strongly believes in the teachings of Yevon, and he is characterized as a kind but sometimes naive individual.
48. Wizard Class (Diablo III)
We will include a character class as well on this list, so please do not judge us. Jokes aside, Wizard Character Class debuted in the Diablo III game in 2012 – the class served as a replacement for Sorceress from the previous game, Diablo II.
49. Witch Doctor Class (Diablo III)
Next is the Witch Doctor Class, which also appeared first in the Diablo III game. This class uses Voodoo Magic, and they can summon various pets. The class was actually inspired directly by Necromances which were available in Diablo II.
50. Witch Class (Path of Exile)
Witch is one of the playable characters in the notable action-role-playing game, Path of Exile. The Witch mostly represents Necromancer and Sorceress styles of combat.
51. Winston (Overwatch)
Winston is one of the playable characters from Overwatch. The character uses a Tesla cannon in combat that can also create a Barrier Projector Field that can absorb attacks until it is destroyed. One of the coolest gorillas.
52. William Birkin (Resident Evil 2)
The main antagonist of the popular horror game Resident Evil, William Birkin was one of the scientists who worked with Albert Wesker on developing various biological weapons. He uses a G-Virus on himself to become a monster.
53. Wario (Super Mario)
Wario is an antagonist of the Super Mario game series and an archenemy to Mario. They are quite similar and share a lot of abilities and looks. However, Wario is despicable and tries to always disrupt Mario’s plans.
54. Waluigi (Super Mario)
Waluigi is essentially an evil version of Luigi, another notable Super Mario character. He is Wario’s partner in crime, and his name literally means “a bad Luigi”. He first appeared in Mario Tennis.
55. Whip (King of Fighters)
One of the playable characters of King of Fighters games, Whip is usually a part of King of Fighters games but was left out in 1999, XII, and XIII. She was brought back in other games, including Metal Slug Defence from 2014.
56. Wang Jinrei (Tekken)
The playable character of the notable fighting game Tekken, Wang is quite an important character in the Tekken series. He is a close friend of Jinpachi Mishima and is respected by Feng Wei, however, his status is unknown, after the end of Tekken’s 6 games. His fighting skills are rarely matched.
57. Walter Sullivan (Silent Hill)
Walter Sullivan is the main antagonist of Silent Hill: The Room 2004. Besides this installment, Walter was actually mentioned in the previous Silent Hill games – the second one from 2001, and Silent Hill: Book of Memories from 2014.
58. Warwick (League of Legends)
Warwick or The Uncaged Wrath of Zaun is one of the playable characters in the popular MOBA League of Legends. He is a monster who hunts the alleys of the Zaun and is transformed through the agonizing experiments of Dr. Singed. He is a jungle in the game and recently was hinted at being Vander from the TV show Arcane.
59. Wukong (League of Legends)
Vastayan trickster, also known as the Monkey King, Wukong is the last student of the ancient martial arts called Wuju. His close friend is Master Yi who taught him and spends his time protecting the Ionia. He is a versatile champion who can play a few roles, but his evasive abilities make him a good jungler.
60. Willem (World of Warcraft)
Willem was a resident of Southshore when Anduin Lothar and the survivors of the Stormwind arrived across the Great Sea after losing the First War. Willem, being the best rider, was sent to inform King Terenas of what is going on. His status is still unknown.
61. Warrith (World of Warcraft)
Warrith was a leader of the Broken, a sub-par race of Draenei when he and his tribe have fallen after trying to protect Tyri and Jorad Mace from Ragnok Bloodreaver’s troop of orcs.
62. Wendy Testaburger (South Park)
Wendy is a supporting character in the comedic animated Tv show called South Park. She is Stan’s on-and-off girlfriend, and one of the prominent female classmates of Stan, Kyle, Cartman, and Kenny.
63. Will Herondale (Shadowhunters)
Will Herondale was one of the wards living in the London Institute, whose life became entangled with the newly-arrived Tessa Grey. Will was later promoted as the head of the Institute and father to James and Lucie Herondale.

The third known Flash in the DC Universe, Wally is the Fastest Man Alive and one of the founding members of the Teen Titans. His other notable alias was Kid Flash – Barry Allen’s Flash sidekick.
65. Walter Bishop (Fringe)
Walter was an eccentric researcher specializing in fringe science. He was locked in a mental institution for seventeen years, which left a lot of negative effects on his personality, however, he was eventually recruited by the FBI to work for their Fringe Division with Olivia Dunham and his son Peter Bishop.

Smithers from Simpsons was Mr. Burns’s loyal and devoted personal assistant, and one of the recurring characters of the notable animated show, The Simpsons. He was an openly gay character who proclaimed his feelings for his boss, Mr. Burns.

Wendell Bray was one of the recurring characters on the popular TV show Bones. He was one of the rotating interns that was first introduced in season four of the show.

Half-sister of Wynonna Earp and the late Willa Earp, Waverly is a Nephilim like her sister Wynonna and a wife of the Purgatory Sheriff Nicole Haught.

73. William Afton (Five Nights at Freddy’s)
William Afton is the main antagonist of the popular horror game franchise Five Nights at Freddy’s. He is the founder of Afton Robotics and a serial killer who is responsible for most if not all tragedies that occurred in the game.

Wayne family is a notable family from the DC Comic books, that resides in Gotham City since the 18th century. The most famous one is definitely Bruce Wayne, a famous businessman and playboy, who at night battles Gotham’s crime as Batman.
75. White Canary (DC)
White Canary is a huge rival of the Black Canary, Dinah Lance, and no one knows her real identity. She is the only sister to the Twelve Brothers in Silk and was portrayed in the Arrowverse by vigilante Sara Lance.
76. Wonder Girl (DC)
Cassandra “Cassie” Sandsmark also known as Wonder Girl is a fictional superheroine in the DC comics. She is a niece of the notable superheroine Wonder Woman and has been featured as a member of the Teen Titans.
77. War Machine (Marvel)
James Rhodes is Iron Man’s best friend and ally whose skills lie in the air as a military pilot. He uses Starks technology and armor, which he flies as War Machine. We will see Rhodey in the MCU once again in the Armor Wars storyline.

Warbird is actually one of Carol Danvers’s aliases. She acquired the Warbird persona in the 1900s, which marked the return of the Carol Danvers to the Avengers, and after getting a really interesting storyline where Carol developed alcoholism after she lost her memories and cosmic powers.

Warlock was first introduced in the New Mutants storyline in 1984 and is a member of the alien Technarchy, a race of mechanical organisms.
