Charlie Cox Unveils “Heartbreaking” Initial Plans for ‘Daredevil: Born Again’

‘Daredevil: Born Again’ has faced numerous challenges during its development, but remains highly anticipated. Initially, insiders described the project as dull and significantly different from expectations.

Fans were particularly disappointed to learn that Elden Henson’s Foggy and Deborah Ann Woll’s Karen would not be returning. However, there have been recent creative changes, including a reduced episode count and a shift in focus to a new premise. Additionally, beloved characters are set to make a return, much to the delight of fans.

Speaking at AwesomeCon in Washington, D.C. gave his honest opinion regarding the shift in the story:

Aw it’s so cool, man. So cool. Yeah, it was pretty heartbreaking when they weren’t around initially. When we came back to filming and they had made some changes, which you guys obviously probably read about and stuff, you know, it was clear that Foggy and Karen are kind of the heartbeat of our show. They always were. So [it feels] really special to have them back. Huge shout out to Deborah and to Elden. I know there’s been photos, there were some set photos that came out, so I know I can talk about it because it’s on the internet. But it was really sweet to have some scenes together again.

This is something that fans can most definitely agree with, considering that both Foggy and Karen being seen on set was followed by tons of positive reactions. Initial plans for the show included both Foggy and Karen dying between Netflix’s ‘Daredevil’ Season 3 and ‘Daredevil: Born Again,’ but those plans were obviously scrapped. However, based on some recent rumors they are not out in the clear yet since according to notable leakers and scoopers one of them is still bound to die over the course of the first season of ‘Born Again.’ Have something to add?
