Killua Zoldyck is not a cat, he is a human

As part of that, he often makes expressions that could be described as feline or cat-like, which prompted some fans to think that Killua Zoldyck might actually be a cat. Here is an example of such a grimace:

And yes, there is no doubt that anime cats also have such faces, but this does not imply that Killua is a cat. Killua is the third son of the most renowned assassin family in the world, the Zoldycks. Seen from birth as a great talent, Killua has already experimented with various assassination techniques, even though he is only young age. For his accomplishments in work, he is seen as one of the greatest assassins the family has ever produced.

From an early age, Killua was forced to train very hard by swimming in electrified pools and participating in the Celestial Tower tournament at just six years of age. However, bored and tired of killing, Killua unexpectedly rebels against his family. He injured his mother and older brother, leaving the Zoldick estate on Mount Kukuruu to take the exam to become a Hunter. During the exam, he meets Gon, who will become his best friend, although Killua initially sees them as rivals.

Thanks to Gon’s company, Killua will be able to overcome his killer instincts (caused by a life spent training to kill) and will be able to integrate perfectly into the group with Kurapika and Leorio. It will be precisely the last remnants of these homicidal instincts that will not allow Killua to pass the exam to become a hunter in the same year as Gon due to the killing of the candidate Bodoro. This unexpected gesture was the only way for Killua to satisfy the requests of his brother Illumi, that is, not to obtain a hunter’s license until the family or himself approved it.

Killua has blue eyes and white or silver hair that is always spiky in appearance. His eyes adjust to his mood, becoming sharper and narrower as he shifts into assassin mode. He is often in good physical form, but in the Chimera Ant arc, it is shown that his body muscles, particularly his pectorals and abs, are extremely toned. Killua’s eyes in the Nippon Animation version of the manga are changed to green for the released OVA episodes.

Killua often dresses in loose attire, with his go-to ensemble being long-sleeved, dark-colored shirts. His shirts tend to have turtlenecks. In the Madhouse manga and animated version, Killua usually has long, baggy pants, but Nippon Animation’s version only extends to the tops of his knees. In the Nippon Animation adaptation, Killua also dons black, brown, and blue boots, depending on the situation.

Killua is first introduced as a character who appears similar to Gon but is, at the same time, quite distinct and somewhat the opposite of his: cheeky, happy, and full of naughty ideas. Killua is known to detest red pepper. He is also one of the series’ characters with the quickest mind. Although he frequently displays humility while being confident in his own accomplishments, he is easily humiliated when someone compliments him, especially Gon. Killua is also renowned for his gluttony and love of all things sweet, as seen by the nearly 200 million Jenis he spent on confections while in the Celestial Tower.

Chocolate is his go-to snack, particularly chocolate balls. But, his ruthlessness and capacity for murder reveal his other, more lethal, aggressive, and bloodthirsty self. Killua is a killing machine, thanks to his exceptional strength and agility. Disputes with Killua’s propensity for murder, his unwavering commitment to his companions, and his innate goodness. Killua frequently endured severe hardships while attempting to aid his pals, but he never once complained.

And with this, we can conclude this story of Killua and his personality. He is a quirky and intriguing character, but he is not a cat, although all of the feline grimaces he makes.
