Jujutsu Kaisen: The Supreme Martial Solution – Explained!
Sukuna is the principal villain of Jujutsu Kaisen, as has been evident from the very first episode of the series. For the major part of the series, Sukuna strived to take over Itadori’s body and restore his original level of power, and that finally happened during the Shinjuku Showdown. Now, Sukuna has – in most cases – relied on his spells and his fighting skills, but in Shinjuku, we also saw him use a Cursed Tool that was gifted to him by Yorozu. The Cursed Tool in question is the Supreme Martial Solution, and in this article, we are going to provide you with all the details you need to know about it.
The Supreme Martial Solution is an exceptionally powerful Cursed Tool
The Supreme Martial Solution is a Cursed Tool that Sukuna used in the past, but it appeared once again in the present, in Shinjuku. Of course, it is not the original Supreme Martial Solution, but rather a precise replica, and we are first going to tell you how it actually appeared and what Yorozu has to do with it.
We know that Yorozu was a powerful sorceress from Sukuna’s time; she was reborn as Megumi’s sister, and due to her love for Sukuna, she wanted to get close to him. On the other hand, while she wasn’t necessarily a target for him, he realized that her death would serve his purpose, so he engaged her in battle and killed her, of course, but even in death, Yorozu continued to love Sukuna, and that is how the story of the Supreme Martial Solution begins. Namely, before dying, Yorozu used what little energy she had left to make a Binding Vow, which resulted in the creation of the Supreme Martial Solution. Uraume would later bring it to Sukuna in Shinjuku, and this is when we first saw it and found out about Yorozu’s sacrifice.
So, what is the Supreme Martial Solution? The Supreme Martial Solution looks like a tokkosho (the name for a single-bladed vajra). The central grip of the Supreme Martial Solution is bordered on each side by a pair of flat hoops that cross at a right angle to create two spheres, and there is a thin, dagger-like blade on one of the sides. This is what this Cursed Tool looks like, but this doesn’t tell us much about its powers, so we are going to explain what it does in the next paragraph of this article.
As we can see in the manga, as soon as Sukuna got hold of the Supreme Martial Solution, he attacked Kashimo with a deadly and extremely powerful electric strike. Sukuna stated that this strike “took him back,” suggesting that he had used the Supreme Martial Solution or an attack similar to the Supreme Martial Solution in the past and that this is not completely new to him. Given that the Supreme Martial Solution was one of the two known Cursed Tools that Sukuna had previously used, it makes sense—however macabre—that Akutami depicted Sukuna’s initial encounter with the duplicate as a walk down memory lane.
He was shocked to discover, however, that Kashimo was impervious to electrical attacks since, despite the Supreme Martial Solution’s extreme strength and devastation, Kashimo was not harmed in the least by it; instead, it was all thanks to Kashimo’s own skill. Next, Kashimo attacked Sukuna with a counterattack, injuring him. But there was more to come. In the face of Kahsimo’s abilities, Sukuna used his one-time power, Incarnation, to return to his former form. This implied that the conflict was still ongoing and that Sukuna would either prevail or perish in this form. Later, he would utilize the Supreme Martial Solution to unleash a devastating electrical attack that would wipe out Mei Mei’s birds.
