What is the Korean Hunters Association?

All fans of Solo Leveling know that the Guilds are. The Korean Hunters Association is a very important organization in the series and in this article, we are going to explain all you need to know about it, its structure, and its members because it is a truly important thing that we think you should know more about.

So, the Korean Hunters Association is the principal government organization in South Korea that oversees Hunters. The Korean Hunters Association is in charge of certifying Hunters and determining their Rank; before being officially licensed, a Hunter must go to the Korean Hunters Association to be evaluated and in the case of a potential Double Awakening, the Korean Hunters Association agents are sent to the Hunter in question. They are also in charge of locating and securing Gates, as well as dealing with potential Dungeon Breaks. The Korean Hunters Association also sends invites to Guilds and freelance Hunters to take care of Dungeons. They also keep track of everything happening in the Hunter community and a member of the Korean Hunters Association is usually present near a Gate, especially when the Dungeon is cleared; we can assume that the Hunters have to call in when they clear a Dungeon.

Because they are a government organization, they aren’t focused on profit like the Guilds, but they do tend to collect objects from Dungeons and they are in charge of overseeing them.

As you can see, the Korean Hunters Association is a very important organization and you can now probably understand why we have decided to tell you what you need to know about it. In the next section, we are going to tell you about the known members of the Korean Hunters Association as they have been introduced in the series.

All known members of the Korean Hunters Association

Whether or not they are alive, we are going to list all the known members of the Korean Hunters Association here in this section and tell you a bit about them:

Go Gunhee (Chairman)

Go Gunhee is the Chairman of the Korean Hunters Association. He is one of Korea’s S-Rank Hunters and with his experience and his age, he is certainly among the strongest Hunters from Korea. He is an excellent fighter and his skills as a Hunter are truly formidable. But, he also seems to be a very wise leader, as the Korean Hunters Association is doing quite well under his leadership. He is certainly the central figure of this organization.

Woo Jinchul (Surveillance Chief)

Woo Jinchul is a very interesting character. He is a powerful A-Rank Hunter, one of Korea’s strongest, and is actually very close to being an S-Rank. Initially, he was the Chief Inspector of the Korean Hunters Association’s Surveillance Team, but would go on to succeed Chairman Go as the leader of the Korean Hunters Association.

He was eventually killed by Jinwoo because he wanted to eliminate all witnesses to his crimes.

Jung Gisoo (Evaluation Office Agent)

Jung Gisoo is a very secondary character, but he is a named member of the Association so we had to list him here. He is an official of the Evaluation Office and was in charge of ranking the Hunters who came to the Association to register.
