Based on the manga by Yūki Tabata, Black Clover is an anime series that aired from October 3, 2017 to March 30, 2021. The series consists of four seasons and a total of 170 episodes, with two additional OVA episodes, a spin-off ONA series, and an announced anime movie. Saying that where you can watch Black Clover?

Black Clover is available for streaming on Crunchyroll, Hulu, and Funimation (albeit partially); some lesser-known outlets where you can stream it are Adult Swim, DIRECTV, Spectrum and VRV. Amazon, Apple TV+ and Google (partially) offer the show for rent or purchase, but without the streaming option. If you’re in India, you can also stream it via Netflix.

Where Can You Watch Black Clover?

As of December 2021, the Black Clover anime series is available on several streaming platforms. The first and best one is, of course, Crunchyroll, but you can also check it out on Hulu, and some lesser-known streaming services like Adult Swim, DIRECTV, Spectrum and VRV. Funimation also offers part of the anime in its dubbed version, while the aforementioned services offer the original version with subtitles.

If you prefer renting or buying your videos online, you can find the whole series on Amazon, which offers both renting and buying, as well as on Apple TV+, while Google only has three seasons of the show on its slate.

The two OVA episodes and the spin-off ONA series are not available for streaming at this moment.

Is Black Clover on Netflix?

Black Clover is not available on Netflix, unless you’re in one specific country, in which case you’re actually able to stream the show. The only countries in which you can stream Black Clover on Netflix are India, Indonesia and some other Asian countries, where the show is available in Japanese, with English subtitles. In addition to that, Black Clover can be streamed on Netflix in India with a Rs 649 per month subscription, meaning no premium subscription is required.

It might be a little disappointing that a leading network like Netflix didn’t make Black Clover available for streaming around the world. We don’t know the exact reason for this, but we assume that it has to do something with the licensing and distribution rights.

As far as the future of the series is concerned, seeing how Netflix is working on expanding its anime roster, it is possible that Black Clover will be made available in more countries, but we’ll have to wait and see, as we don’t know whether that’ll happen or not.

Is Black Clover on Disney+?

Disney+ does not offer any Black Clover content, neither the anime series, nor the additional OVA and ONA episodes, which is, as you probably know by now, not surprising as Disney+ is generally very conservative when original content created by other studios is concerned, and anime is not just that, it is also direct competition for Disney, the biggest animation studio in the West.

Black Clover is not fully available to stream on Funimation. Funimation has the majority of the episodes available on its service in dubbed format, but since the whole series has not been dubbed as of yet, subscribers will have to wait for the remaining episodes to become available.

One major issue with Funimation is that it is not available around the world, so even if you could stream the complete Black Clover series, you’d only be able to access it from a limited number of countries.

Is Black Clover on Hulu?

Black Clover can be streamed via Hulu, with the dubbed version listed as upcoming, alongside the already available subbed version. Hulu is not one of the major players in the world of streaming, but nonetheless, it offers great content for its subscribers.

Is Black Clover on Amazon Prime?

Amazon does have Black Clover but it’s not available for streaming via Amazon Prime. Instead, you can rent or buy the individual episodes or season batches, which is a different (pay-per-view) model than other streaming services, but it works well if you want to watch the show.

As we’ve said, it is not possible to stream the show on Amazon or Amazon Prime. This means that you actually have to buy each individual episode to watch them; the price is $2.99 for each of the episodes, so if you’re planning on buying all 170 episodes, prepare the cash. Also, it’s very unfortunate that having a Prime membership does not help, as you can not use it to stream Black Clover either nor will it give you a discount.

So, if you want to watch Black Clover via Amazon, you have to buy each individual episode (or whole season batches), but the good thing is that the site offers the complete series, sans the two OVA episodes and the ONA spin-off. In addition to this option, you can also rent copies on Amazon Instant Videos, Google Play, Vudu, and iTunes.

One advantage of the rent or buy option on Amazon is the lack of restriction, either in time or location. Anywhere in the world, you can buy any available season or episode of Black Clover, which is a good thing since some streaming services don’t offer their full slate for all countries.

Another note: once rented, you have only a limited amount of time to watch each episode for the same price, whereas with a purchased copy, you have unlimited time.
