Who Does Sasuke Marry in Naruto?

Naruto manga and anime ended in 2014 and 2017 respectively, and the last few chapters/episodes offered us one of the most epic showdowns in the series. Naruto and Sasuke finally got to that final battle, where they solved their issues and realized they are “brothers”. However, Masashi Kishimoto gave fans a glimpse into the future and lives of Konoha Village and our beloved characters. One main character had a cryptic showing in those epilogues – Uchiha Sasuke. In this article, we will discuss who does Sasuke marry in Naruto?
Uchiha Sasuke married Sakura Haruno, his former teammate in Team 7 before he defected from Konoha Village. Sasuke never outright acknowledged her love in his youth, but after Fourth Shinobi War, he realized his feelings for her, and her love for him.
We will analyze Sasuke’s marriage further, when it happened, how it happened, and if he has children with Sakura. If you are interested in this topic or just want to remind yourself of what happened with Sasuke at the end of the Naruto series, definitely stick with us until the end of the article.
Sasuke’s Potential Love Interests During Naruto Series
Uchiha Sasuke spent most of the Naruto series, especially during the second part, Naruto Shippuden, as a villain, at best an antihero character. At the end of the first part of Naruto, he defected from the Konoha village in pursuit of his brother Itachi, who killed his whole clan, and because of his dissatisfaction with his progress to becoming a strong shinobi.
Despite being regarded for years as an enemy of his village, Sasuke had a lot of girls/women who admired him. His looks and “tsundere” attitude made him pretty desirable which was apparent throughout the Naruto Series. During his academy days, his female classmates admired him, while boys in the class disliked him and were jealous of him. The most notable girls who had a crush on him were Ino Yamanaka and Sakura Haruno. Sakura and Ino butted heads since they were little kids, and everything was a competition for them, including the boys. Sakura really crushed on Sasuke while Ino did as well, but just because Sakura did it first.
Sakura’s crush grew over time into love, which could be seen in the first part of the series where Sasuke leaves Konoha Village. They have a little moment and afterward, Sasuke leaves.
Naruto series part two showed other female characters being attracted to Sasuke. One of the most intense ones, rather genuine feelings, were from Karin, a woman who was part of his Taka team. Even when he stabbed her, Karin forgave him immediately. An incident that “opened” her eyes was when Danzo took her hostage while fighting Sasuke. While using Karin as a “meat” shield against Sasuke, Danzo thought he had leverage against him. Sasuke just stabbed her in order to kill Danzo. After Sasuke ordered Sakura to kill Karin to prove herself to him and join him, Karin stated that she no longer cares about him.
Besides these three women, there were few admirers of Sasuke but those were not anything special.
Who Does Sasuke Marry in Naruto?
We already mentioned the epilogue that the manga and anime series showed us after the final showdown between Naruto and Sasuke. A few years after the Fourth Shinobi War showed that Naruto got married to Hinata, Ino got together with Sai, Chouji married Karui, Shikamaru got with Temari, and more. Sasuke was not even in the Konoha Village during the Hokage election and two years later, Naruto and Hinata’s wedding. According to Naruto episodes/chapters, Sasuke only sent a letter of congratulations to the couple and said hello to Sakura. Sasuke decided to dedicate his life to protecting the Village and future generations, which is why Sakura and Sasuke are in a long-distance relationship.
From that scene, hints of some kind of relationship between Sakura and Sasuke are there, and it got confirmed during the novel and anime Sasuke Shinden, where Sasuke finally gets home to Sakura. Fast forward a few years later, Sakura accompanies Sasuke on his journey, while pregnant and here we first get a mention of Sasuke being married to Sakura. During the journey, Sakura gives birth to Sarada, with the help of Karin and Sasuke. He stays with his family for a while helping Sakura raise the child but after reports of another danger threatening the Ninja Continent, he decides to go on a journey.
That would later motivate his daughter Sarada to question her parents, propel her on a journey of finding her father, whom she finally meets, and brings him back to stay with her family permanently.
In conclusion, Sasuke married Sakura and got a child with her called Sarada, who is now one of the main characters of the sequel to the original series called Boruto: Naruto Next Generations.
