Kakucho is an exceptionally important character with ties to Takemichi
Tenjiku and Toman are getting ready for the fight that will end everything. Tenjiku aims to become the most dominant gang in Japan by disbanding and assimilating every other gang. Because of Emma’s accidental death, which stops Mikey and Dragon from fighting, Toman suffers a lot. Takemichi opposes delaying the fight so that the participants have more time to prepare, even though the other members are considering it. Even though his gang members oppose it, they finally come together and are prepared to stand by their leader. This introduction takes us to the moment when Kakucho enters the fight. So, who is Kakucho?
Kakucho was introduced in the series as one of the Four Heavenly Kings of Tenjiku (he is, in fact, their leader) and the confidant and right-hand man of Izana Kurokawa. Although he is loyal to Izana, Kakucho does not agree with his plan to murder Emma, which causes some internal conflicts within him, especially because he has a. Following the gang’s dissolution, he became Rokuhara Tandai’s number one seat. Currently, he is a member of the Kanto Manji.
Who defeated Kakucho in the Tenjiku Arc?
Now, before we actually continue with his future in the series and answer whether he survives the events of the series, we are just going to go over what happened to him in the Tenjiku Arc, i.e., how he fared in the fights since he was one of the most skilled fighters that Tenjiku had.
We know that Takemichi was the one who faced Kakucho and that the two of them had a bitter fight because of their relationship. Kakucho was the better fighter, and he beat up Takemichi, but he did not want to finish him off. We know that Kisaki interrupted the fight and brandished a handgun in Takemichi’s face, and the fight continued in a wholly different direction from that moment on.
So, who defeated Kakucho? Well… no one. The fight was interrupted, and it never continued, and Kakucho did not see much fighting later on. Izana later saved his life, and he visited Takemichi in the hospital when it was all over, and that is more or less it. No one defeated him, and he did not lose a fight during the Tenjiku Arc.
Is Kakucho dead in Tokyo Revengers?
In the future of an alternate timeline, he is a Bonten executive. In the final battle between Tokyo Manji and Kanto Manji, he learns from Takemichi that Sanzu plans to run over Tokyo Manji with an old train, so they try to stop him. Sanzu cuts him in the chest with a sword, but Kakucho pulls him off the moving train.
Seeing that Takemichi fails to stop the train, Kakucho pulls him out of the train to save his life and manages to stop the train in time, but later dies from the wound that Sanzu gave him. In the new timeline, Kakucho joins Toman, where he becomes vice-captain of the eighth division. Eleven years later, Kakucho works as a volunteer in the Tenjiku organization.
Kakuchi is a skilled and strong fighter
Regarding Kakuchi’s fighting prowess, we have to confirm that he was one of the strongest and most skilled fighters in the series. He was not on Izana’s level, but the fact that Izana named him the leader of the Four Heavenly Kings of Tenjiku and his right-hand man speaks for itself. This means that Kakuchi was indeed strong, which was seen when he fought Takemichi – he beat him up without any problems, and he could have finished him off had he wanted to do it. This shows that he was, indeed, physically superior and that he was one of Tenjiku’s best fighters.
But, alongside the skills that he undoubtedly had, he also had a lot of authority within Tenjiku, which is very important to stress here. He was a leadership figure with a lot to say and to whom the other Tenjiku members listened, which made sense. But it wasn’t simply what he was: Izana’s right-hand man – he had it in him. It came quite naturally to him, and in that aspect, he was a natural-born leader, just like his friend Izana.
And that is the story of Kakuchi in Tokyo Revengers. Oh, btw, his name means “Crane-butterfly” in Japanese (鶴蝶).
