Anime characters appear in all shapes and sizes. They also appear under a variety of names. Some anime characters have first and last names, some have nicknames, some have… well, they are always known as something. In that aspect, it is important to remember all of these names and that is why we have decided to bring you this list. This list is going to contain a list of anime characters that start with the letter I. Gin, accompanied by Kenpachi Zaraki, asks Byakuya how he manages to remain so calm as his sister’s death approaches. As a fight between Byakuya and Zaraki was about to begin, Gin comically ends it by wrapping Zaraki in his haori and then pulling him like a sled, his sealed Zanpakutō is a wakizashi. Its power lies in the fact that it can stretch a length of one hundred blades in shikai, and 13 km in Bankai.

Gendō Ikari is one of the main characters in the Japanese anime series Neon Genesis Evangelion. He also appears in the many manga and video game adaptations that the series has seen since its inception in 1995. Gendō is the commander of the confidential organization NERV in charge of fighting monsters called “Angels” thanks to Evangelions, weapons having the appearance of giant robots.

He is cast as one of the Third Children and pilots EVA-01. Son of Gendō and Yui Ikari, Shinji is a teenager withdrawn and unable to communicate with others. According to Hideaki Anno, Shinji is a boy who avoids contact with his neighbor, “he tries to live in a closed world where his behavior condemns him, while he has abandoned all attempts to understand himself”.

Yolei Inoue is a second-generation DigiDestined. She is the oldest and by far the most energetic. She makes her first entry into the Digital World with Cody, with whom she awakens their respective partners, hers being Hawkmon, to whom she is extremely attached. Her parents being grocers, Yolei often brings food to the Digimon when they are present in the real world.

Very direct, she always says what she thinks (Kari envies her a lot for this quality) and easily falls in love (Ken, Michael, Willis). Yolei develops, throughout the series, a great friendship for Sora and especially Mimi (whom she admires a lot). She has the symbols of Love and Sincerity.

A second-year student, he uses magic related to words. Due to the lineage in the Inumaki clan, he was born with different markings around his mouth. Whenever he says a word (such as “fall”) any target who hears the word will be forced to do so.

Because of this ability, he has a very shy and silent character and is used to communicating only with ingredients used to prepare rice balls. During Shibuya’s arc, he is accidentally caught in Sukuna’s domain expansion and loses an arm.

InuYasha is the main character of the story. He is a hanyô, a hybrid being half-man, half-demon, with a human appearance of about fifteen years. He’s got a bad temper, rude, derogatory, proud, violent, and even a bit crude, but he knows how to be kind and generous (even if he doesn’t realize it at such times). He hates losing and seeing his friends in danger.

He has the power to regenerate when injured and possesses supernatural strength through his Hanyo form. However, with each new moon, Inu-Yasha transforms into a simple human, losing his supernatural gifts. He is in the possession of Tessaiga, a magic saber whose name means “the crusher fangs of steel”.

Nanao Ise is the 8th division vice-captain who has to do all the work most of the time because of her captain’s laziness. She tries to be patient despite all the eccentricities of the latter, like flirting with her or asking her to water her path with rose petals to show off in front of her opponents.

Nanao wears small glasses and it looks like she looks terrifying when she takes them off. We will also notice his resemblance, both physically and in his general attitude, with Yadomaru Lisa when she was the vice-captain.

Ryuken Ishida is Uryū’s father. He is a high-level Quincy having unsuccessfully tried to give up his powers. Uryū later finds out that the shinigami purposely delayed their intervention because they captured his grandfather’s soul to experiment on until it was destroyed (this is 12th Division Captain Mayuri Kurotsuchi, who performed these experiments).

At the beginning of the series, he had a certain rivalry with the other main characters, since he had a deep grudge against all the shinigami, including Ichigo, but as the story progresses they become friends.
