Attack on Titan: Who Is the Smallest Titan?
We’ve seen many different titans in the storyline of Attack on Titan, and most of them are large creatures that can destroy entire houses and swallow humans whole. But we also know that titans vary in size, meaning that some are smaller than others, which holds for both the titan shifters and the pure titans. So, with that said, who is the smallest titan in Attack on Titan?
The smallest of the nine titan shifters is the Cart Titan, whose power was last held by Pieck Finger. Pieck’s Cart Titan stood around four meters tall and was equipped with great speed and endurance. Meanwhile, the smallest pure titan was Conny Springer’s dad, who turned into a three-meter titan.
There are specific reasons why the titan shifters vary in size, as these titans specialize in different fields. Of course, the pure titans are more or less random regarding how large or small they are, as we don’t really understand what goes into their transformations. That said, let’s look at who the smallest titans are in the storyline of Attack on Titan.
Who Is the Smallest Titan Shifter?
The storyline of Attack on Titan involves different titans that have had huge impacts and roles in the narrative. Of course, while the storyline started with the introduction of pure titans that humanity tried to keep away using the walls, we know for a fact that the titan shifters were the ones that set things in motion, especially when the Colossal Titan and the Armored Titan appeared in the first episode.
Since then, more and more titan shifters have appeared in the story, as we know that there are nine of them (eight, not counting the Founding Titan). Of course, while we know that titans are aptly named due to their immense sizes, there are titan shifters smaller than the ones we’ve grown accustomed to. In most cases, titan shifters are around 14 or 15 meters tall, as is the case for the titans of Eren, Annie, and Reiner. Meanwhile, the Colossal Titan is an anomaly, standing 60 meters tall.
Then again, we know there are also small titan shifters quite different from the titans we’ve seen. The first small titan shifter we saw was Ymir’s Jaw Titan, passed on to Porco Galliard and Falco. But the Jaw Titan isn’t the smallest titan shifter. So, who is the smallest titan shifter in Attack on Titan?
The smallest of the nine titan shifters is the Cart Titan, whose power had Pieck Finger. Before the Attack on Titan storyline ended, Pieck was an Eldian warrior serving Marley. She was the smartest and most logical out of all of the warriors, and that made her the best candidate for the Cart Titan, which isn’t a combat unit but is more of a support titan that has to be far away from the battlefield to assess the situation and provide support whenever necessary.

At four meters tall, the Cart Titan is smaller than most of the titans and is a meter shorter than the Jaw Titan. Despite being small and relatively weaker than the other titans, the Cart specializes in speed, mobility, and endurance. It is one of the only two titan shifters capable of human speech. And due to the Cart’s immense endurance, Pieck can stay in her titan form for two months without reverting to her human form.
The fact that the Cart Titan is so small yet has the best endurance allowed it to become an indispensable part of the Marleyan army. Pieck’s titan was also equipped with a panzer unit that allowed it to act as a walking tank, even though it was supposed to be just a support unit in the past.
So, while size matters in Attack on Titan, endurance and mobility are equally important. And Pieck’s Cart Titan has proven that time and time again by providing the support that her allies need even though her titan is only four meters tall.
Who Is the Smallest Pure Titan?
Of course, while the titan shifters have standard sizes based on the innate abilities of their titan forms, the pure titans are random in terms of how big or small they are. Before they learned the truth about the titans, the military of Paradis Island classified them as somewhere between two to 15 meters tall.
Nevertheless, the smallest titan we’ve seen in the series is arguably the one that attacked Kaya back in the events of season 2 of Attack on Titan. This happened when Sasha went to a small village close to her childhood home to investigate where the titans that breached the wall came from. When she arrived, she saw that everyone in the village had either been eaten or was already gone.
However, one of the houses still had a mother and a daughter. The mother was feasted on by a titan no more than three meters tall, hardly twice as big as Sasha. In her attempt to save the young girl, who happened to be Kaya, Sasha fended this titan off.

It was later revealed that this titan was Conny Springer’s father. Before the events of season 2, Zeke Yeager released gas in Ragako Village, which is Conny’s hometown. The gas contained his spinal fluid, and he used this to weaponize the people of the village so that he could turn them into pure titans at any given moment. Conny’s parents were among those who were turned into titans by Zeke.
