40 Best Elden Ring Weapons (For Every Class)

Two hand Elden Ring cover copy

fArguably the most important part of a non-mage character in Elden Ring is their weapon. That’s because this is the aspect that will allow any Tarnished to slay dragons and demi-gods alike. As such, it is important that you need to use the right weapons that fit your build because weapons will get stronger when you know how to best fit your build around them. That said, we have a good list of some of the best Elden Ring weapons for every class, depending on their builds.

Strength Weapons

Strength weapons are the ones that will immediately pop out as the massive swords that require your Tarnished to have a ton of strength to wield properly. That said, Strength weapons scale with your Strength stat and are going to grow stronger the higher your Strength is. So, if you’re looking for a good Strength weapon, here are the ones we believe are the best.

10. Banished Knight’s Halberd

elden ring banished knight halberd 8 850x478 1

Best For: Hero and Vagabond

The Banished Knight’s Halberd is a great starting weapon for Strength build players in Elden Ring because it can dish out a lot of damage and carries a lot of force in its every swing. That means that you should be able to take on different types of enemies with this weapon at the start of the game while also staggering bigger opponents like bosses and well-armored minions. And one of the things that you would love about this game is the fact that it can block projectiles.

You can acquire the Banished Knight’s Halberd in Castle Mourne over at the Whispering Peninsula. Killing Edgar will allow you to get this weapon, but it might be better to finish the entire Irene questline involving Edgar for you to acquire the Banished Knight’s Halberd because doing so will allow you to obtain the weapon.

9. Forked Greatsword

forked

Best For: Hero, Vagabond, and Warrior

One of the decent greatswords that you can get early on in the game is the Forked Greatsword, which certainly isn’t a looker and is one of the weapons that you might not want people to see you using because it actually looks really bad. However, the thing about this sword is that it can be a good weapon to use for Strength builds, especially after getting upgraded, because it has a really good unique skill because it can manage your stance and is capable of absorbing a blow while finishing the move with a powerful upward cut enough to stagger a lot of enemies.

The Forked Greatsword also comes with the hemorrhage passive skill that can bleed opponents out. This means that it is similar to daggers and katanas in that regard. You can get this weapon by farming it from the Imps that you can find in the Black Knife Catacombs. Killing the Imps won’t be too difficult as long as you don’t get them ganging up on you.

8. Giant-Crusher

maxresdefault 15

Best For: Hero

The Giant-Crusher is one of the best weapons that you can use against opponents that tend to be on the heavier side when it comes to their armor. That’s because it has a useful skill that was made to destroy armored enemies or those that tend to be harder than most. This is why Heroes should be able to properly use this weapon, as it can be one of the most effective Strength armaments that they can use to hit really hard. And the fact that it requires 60 Strength points means that it was really meant for Strength builds.

The only problem with the Giant-Crusher is the fact that it may be a bit difficult for you to wield, even though you are going to hit really hard. That’s because of the fact that it has a slow animation that faster opponents should be able to easily telegraph. So, in that regard, you might want to use this weapon against bigger and slower enemies instead.

7. Grafted Greatsword

featured elden ring grafted greatsword 900x506 1

Best For: Hero, Vagabond, and Warrior

The Grafted Greatsword is powerful enough to the point that it serves as a great weapon for those who focus more on attacks. It also looks incredibly cool because of the fact that it kind of looks like the Samehada sword in Naruto. Of course, we love its unique skill, which allows the user to increase his stats and poise in a limited window of time. This allows you to clear out opponents in a hurry or to make use of limited counterattack windows to dish out incredible damage.

One of the best things about the Grafted Greatsword is that it’s really easy to acquire. You can get it early on in the game by going to Castle Mourne, which is in the southernmost part of the Weeping Peninsula. You have to defeat Leonine Misbegotten to get the sword. But he may be a bit too tricky for most players to defeat early on.

6. Godrick’s Axe

elden ring godrick 0

Best For: Hero, Vagabond, and Warrior

Godrick’s Axe stands as one of the coolest Strength weapons in the game because it looks like a standard double-edged Viking axe that can dish out incredible amounts of damage. It also has a good unique skill that will cause shockwaves in the ground to temporarily stagger opponents. As such, by using its skill, you can clear out opponents by making use of the limited window of time to punish them.

You can acquire Godrick’s Axe by progressing through the game. Clear out Stormveil Castle by defeating Godrick and by acquiring his Remembrance. Go to Enia in the Roundtable Hold and use the Remembrance to acquire Godrick’s Axe.

5. Ruins Greatsword

u2sdo72ivsl81.jpg 2

Best For: Hero and Warrior

The Ruins Greatsword should be a good Colossal Sword to use for those who actually want to build Heroes and Warriors that also use a few spells here and there because it does have a good Intelligence requirement of 15. That said, it’s a great weapon to use against bosses because it has a unique skill that will allow you to make use of a powerful wave of energy that can destroy a lot of opponents in a single strike.

You can get the Ruins Greatsword quite easily without having to go through any enemy other than the Misbegotten Warrior and the Crucible Knight. Simply riding all the way to the Redmane Castle Plaza, which is a place that doesn’t have any enemies (aside from the ones we mention), as long as you are able to ride your horse through the different enemies that you can find along the way. The castle can be found in the southern part of Caelid.

4. Godslayer’s Greatsword

qMKYvaPb7mdwAhcQE6oz43

Best For: Hero, Vagabond, and Warrior

The Godslayer’s Greatsword is literally a god slayer because of the fact that it is a great way for you to kill different types of bosses due to its amazing skill, which allows you to ignite a flame that will steadily chip away at the opponent’s HP. On top of that, this sword is faster than most colossal swords, and that means that you should be able to find it suitable when fighting bosses that don’t offer much in terms of the counterattack window that they have.

But the problem with this sword is the fact that it is one of the worst when it comes to mounted combat. As such, you might want to fight using other swords if you prefer to go at bosses and other field monsters while on horseback. Still, when fighting in a dungeon against a boss, the Godslayer’s Greatsword should be able to kill opponents rather quickly.

3. Starscourge Greatsword

c505a45b 20220228131718 1

Best For: Hero, Vagabond, and Warrior

The Starscourge Greatsword is a great weapon to use for Strength characters because of how strong its damage is and how it has a great skill that will allow you to do damage really well, especially if you do jump attacks. However, it isn’t the best when it comes to its stagger damage, despite the fact that it’s a really great weapon to use.

The only way for you to acquire the Starscourge Greatsword is by defeating Radahn, one of the toughest fights in the game. Once you beat him, you can trade in his Remembrance with Enia to acquire the Starscourge Greatsword.

2. Blasphemous Blade

240805 la hoja blasfema de elden ring article m 1

Best ForBest For: Hero, Warrior, Vagabond, and Confessor

The Blasphemous Blade is what we would call a good all-around weapon that a lot of different classes can use as long as they invest enough points in their Faith stat. In fact, at its maximum level, the Blasphemous Blade scales better with Faith than it does with Strength. But that doesn’t mean that you shouldn’t be using it if you are a Strength build because it deals great damage and has one of the best skills in the game.

RELATED:

Blasphemous Blade In Elden Ring: Where & How To Get It

Probably the biggest knock on this sword is the fact that you need to progress through the game far enough to acquire it. The Blasphemous Blade can only be acquired by defeating Rykard, Lord of Blasphemy, who is a demi-god and is one of the toughest bosses you can fight in the entire game.

1. Greatsword

Elden Ring Berserk Easter Egg Guts Greatsword

Best For: Hero, Vagabond, and Warrior

Yes, we have the standard Greatsword as the top Strength weapon on this list precisely because it is so versatile. On top of that, it looks cool enough and is a homage to Kentaro Miura’s Berserk manga and anime. But the reason why it is such a great weapon is the fact that it scales really well in the late stages of Elden Ring and is actually a very versatile weapon that can use different types of Ashes of War.

It is recommended that you use the Lon’s Claw Ash of War on the Greatsword because it allows you to increase your Strength even further. This allows you to deal massive amounts of damage whenever you are making use of short windows to punish different opponents. The Greatsword can be acquired by looting a Caravan that you can find in the Dragonbarrow, and that means that you can acquire it fairly early in the game.

Dexterity Weapons

Dexterity weapons tend to be built for classes that should focus more on building up their Dexterity stat. The two most common classes that fall in this category are the Bandit and the Samurai, although the Warrior can also be a Dex class. Weapons that scale with Dex tend to be faster and lighter, and that allows the user to stay nimble throughout the game. And because Elden Ring is full of hard-hitting enemies, Dex weapons are great because they are meant for those who are nimble enough to roll out of the way.

Note: We are including Arcane weapons on this list because they also mostly scale with Dex.

10. Bloodhound’s Fang

maxresdefault 2 2

Best For: Warrior, Vagabond, and Samurai

The Bloodhound’s Fang is an excellent curved greatsword that should be ideal for a lot of different builds that use either Strength or Dexterity, although it will scale better with Dex later when upgraded further. One of the best things about this sword is its unique skill, which strikes fast and hard and also allows the character to back away from the enemy. That means that you aren’t only going to do damage to the opponent, but you are also allowing yourself to back away in a two-in-one attack.

You can acquire the Bloodhound’s Fang by going through Bloodhound Knight Darriwil, which you can find in the Limgrave Evergaol. He hits fast and hard but allows you to have a few openings after he goes for his combo move. This means that you can get this sword quite early in the game.

9. Twinblade

Elden Ring Weapon Twinblade

Best For: Warrior and Samurai

The Twinblade is one of the most unique weapons in the entire game because you are basically getting two swords in one weapon. This is also the game’s first twinblade weapon, as you can get it fairly early without even having to go through any enemy. You can find the Twinblade in the Dragon Burnt Ruins in Lake Agheel in an underground cellar that’s surrounded by four walls. Your horse is your friend here because you need to avoid the dragon, Agheel and because you also need to jump over the walls surrounding the cellar.

The reason why the Twinblade is an excellent weapon for Dex users is the fact that it plays into the ethos of what a Dex character is, and that means that it hits fast and often. It is one of the weapons that tend to have a high DPS because it is fast and can damage opponents well enough, despite the fact that it isn’t the hardest-hitting weapon out there. And its regular attacks and unique skill also allow it to cover a wide range so that you can use it to decimate crowds whenever you are surrounded.

8. Reduvia

Reduvia Daggers 1024x576 1

Best For: Bandit and Samurai

If you are looking to use a Bandit or Samurai that hits fast and often, daggers should be your main weapons. The thing about daggers is that they tend to be quite tricky for most people because they lack range and attack power, despite the fact that they are incredibly fast. However, the goal of a dagger user is not to kill an opponent with the damage the dagger makes but to bleed him out with multiple hits. This is where the Reduvia comes into play.

The Reduvia can be acquired by Bloody Hunter Nerijus just outside Murkwater Cave in the northern area of Limgrave. This dagger is incredibly potent when it comes to its ability to bleed an opponent out. It surely doesn’t have the highest attack power, but it’s going to be very effective against bigger monsters and bosses that are going to easily go down when you bleed them out. Just make sure that you keep yourself away from crowds because daggers tend to be poor when it comes to handling multiple opponents.

7. Parrying Dagger

a000d 16462766666627 1920.jpg

Best For: Bandit and Samurai

Truth be told, the Parrying Dagger isn’t something that you should use if you are looking to kill an enemy. But the best thing about this dagger is that it is going to make life easier for you if you are not entirely good at rolling your way out of danger or if you prefer to create your own openings by parrying an opponent. The Parrying Dagger makes it easier for you to parry attacks, and it might even be better than most shields (although it can’t block). That means that you can simply counterattack your way to wins when you parry your opponents if you have this dagger as a secondary weapon in your left hand.

You can purchase the Parrying Dagger fairly early when you encounter Patches in the Murkwater Cave in Limgrave. Your goal is to spare Patches so that you can buy the dagger off of him later on. This weapon can even be bought within the first hour of your gameplay, and that means that it is a great weapon to use early on in the game.

6. Bloody Helice

Screen Shot 2022 03 16 at 5.04.51 PM

Best For: Warrior, Bandit, and Samurai

The Bloody Helice is a heavy thrusting sword that strikes a good balance between damaging your opponent and causing your enemy to hemorrhage. That’s because it hits harder than daggers and is capable of causing damage better than lighter thrusting swords, although it isn’t necessarily that fast. Nevertheless, it can hemorrhage bosses and large monsters that you may have trouble beating.

To get the Bloody Helice, you’d have to progress through the middle portion of the game and must have at least reached the Altus Plateau. The Bloody Helice can be found in the Writheblood Ruins in the Altus Plateau.

5. Wakizashi

maxresdefault 3 1

Best For: Warrior, Bandit, and Samurai

The Wakizashi is a good secondary weapon to have, much like the Parrying Dagger. This means that Dex builds can put this sword in their left hands and then pair it with a katana, and this allows the player to have a unique move set that you won’t be able to find when you pair a katana with another weapon.

In that regard, what you should do is to have your favorite katana in your right hand (Uchigatana or Rivers of Blood) and then equip the Wakizashi in your left hand to maximize your character’s damage potential and increase the chances of hemorrhaging your opponents. You can find the Wakizashi in one of the locked cells in Gaol Cave.

4. Hand of Malenia

maxresdefault 5 1

Best For: Hero, Vagabond, Samurai, Warrior, and Confessor

At first glance, anyone would think that the Hand of Malenia is one of the greatest weapons in the game, and that may be true because it can only be acquired by beating Malenia (the katana is her prosthetic arm, by the way), who is quite arguably the toughest fight in the entire game. Nevertheless, the fact that you can only get it after defeating one of the toughest opponents in Elden Ring is what makes it a bit of a turnoff.

RELATED:

Where To Find Malenia, Blade of Miquella, In Elden Ring? (& How To Beat Her)

Nevertheless, the Hand of Malenia is one of the best katanas in the game because of the fact that it has a high Dexterity requirement and hits like a truck when it comes to Dex builds. The fact that it hemorrhages an opponent fairly quickly is what makes it one of the best katanas in the entire Elden Ring game. Of course, its unique skill allows you to maximize blood loss because it allows you to hit your enemy several times.

3. Morgott’s Cursed Sword

maxresdefault 4 1

Best For: Warrior and Samurai

Morgott’s Cursed Sword is one of the weapons that you may want to acquire later in the game after you’ve progressed through it. That’s because you can only acquire it after defeating Morgott in the Leyndell, Royal Capital, which isn’t the easiest place in the entire game. On top of that, Morgott is a fairly difficult opponent as well. But once you’ve defeated him, you can go to Enia to trade in his Remembrance for the Morgott’s Cursed Sword.

What we love about the Morgott Cursed Sword is that it comes with Cursed Blood Slice, which is a great unique skill that can hit hard for Dex builds. The fact that it hits hard allows a Dex player to fill more like a Strength player, even though this is actually a weapon with a fairly high Dexterity requirement of 35.

2. Rivers of Blood

Elden Ring Rivers Of Blood Katana Is Awesome 18 46 screenshot 2 1

Best ForBest For: Bandit and Samurai

The Rivers of Blood is both a Dexterity and an Arcane weapon, and that means that (if you haven’t noticed in its name) it is one of the best weapons when it comes to bleeding your enemies out because of its unique skill, which allows it to release slashes of blood that can increase blood loss. This means that it’s probably the best weapon when you look at its overall potential at hemorrhaging opponents.

But there are a few knocks on this weapon. For one, the Arcane scaling is yet to be fixed as of this writing, and that means that it should be best for those who focus more on Dex. Second, the weapon can only be acquired later in the game when you battle Blood Finger Okina in the Mountaintops of the Giants.

1. Uchigatana/Nagakiba

faithweapon eldenring 01

Best For: Warrior, Bandit, and Samurai

The Uchigatana is the starter weapon of the Samurai class and is arguably the best starter weapon in the entire game, especially for Dex builds. On the other hand, the Nagakiba is the pumped-up version of the Uchigatana that has a longer range and is just simply better overall (except that it’s slightly slower). So, the reason why we are looking at both of these weapons is the fact that they are quite similar. And what makes the Nagakiba just as good as the Uchigatana is that they are both capable of changing their skills through Ashes of War.

You can acquire the Nagakiba fairly early if you decide to kill Bloody Finger Hunter Yura when you encounter him the first time in Limgrave. However, it still is best to complete his questline so that you can acquire this weapon later in the game after defeating the Bloody Fingers.

Intelligence Weapons

When we’re talking about Intelligence weapons, we’re not talking about staves here. Instead, we are talking about the usual melee weapons that actually scale with your Int stat when it comes to damage. Trust us when we say that there are plenty of them, and a lot of players will agree that some of the best weapons in the entire game are Int weapons. Intelligence weapons are entirely dependent on the person’s build and not on the starting class, as there are Heroes, Warriors, and Samurais that focus on Int.

10. Carian Knight’s Sword

maxresdefault 6 1

Best For: Warrior, Samurai, and Prisoner

If you’re building melee characters that also have high levels of Intelligence, then the Carian Knight’s Sword should be a good weapon to start with. It mostly scales with Int but also requires a good amount of Strength and Dexterity. However, it will scale more with Strength in its higher levels, and that means that it might be best for Warrior builds that use Strength more than Dex.

What we like about this weapon is the fact that it can summon a large sword that can greatly damage opponents. It also works whenever you are riding on your horse. The Carian Knight’s Sword can be acquired fairly early in the Northern Liurnia area, where there will be a caravan. Kill the opponents guarding the caravan to access the sword in the chest.

9. Sword Of St. Trina

Sword of St Trina

Best For: Warrior, Samurai, and Prisoner

The Sword of St. Trina is going to be a good sword to use for those who want to strike a good balance between close range because of the fact that it can put opponents to sleep. As such, you can easily pick your enemies off when they are fast asleep, and this is why melee users who invest in their Int can benefit from this sword.

This sword can be acquired by going to the Forsaken Ruins in Caelid. You would have to use a Stonesword Key inside the ruins to acquire this sword. It can be found in the chest once you’ve entered the room that’s protected by a fog wall.

8. Crystal Sword

Screen Shot 2022 03 16 at 5.10.55 PM

Best For: Warrior, Samurai, and Prisoner

The Crystal Sword seems to be the standard Int-based sword that spellblade builds should use because of the fact that its attacks deal additional magic damage, and that means that a higher Int stat will allow you to deal massive amounts of damage. This is why it might be best for Warriors, Samurais, and Prisoners that have high Int stats.

To acquire the Crystal Sword, go to the Village of the Albinaurics and then pass by the wooden bridge that you can find in the village. The sword will be close to a dead body that’s just near the edge of the cliff.

7. Bastard’s Stars

Bastard Stars

Best For: Warrior and Prisoner

The Bastard’s Stars is a weapon that you won’t be able to acquire until you progress through the end of Ranni’s quest. That’s because the only way for you to get it is by defeating Astel, Naturalborn of the Void, who is the final boss of Ranni’s questline. And because this is a challenging fight, this weapon isn’t going to be easy to get.

This weapon is actually a flail that does a good amount of damage. And what we like about it is the fact that it scales well with Intelligence, and that’s why Warriors and Prisoners may be able to take advantage of its power.

6. Dark Moon/Moonlight Greatsword

Elden Ring Screenshot 2022.02.26 13.28.40.85 1

Best For: Warrior, Samurai, and Prisoner

One of the most difficult weapons to acquire is the Dark Moon Greatsword, which is the reward that you will get when you finish Ranni’s questline. This means that you have to go through some of the toughest boss battles in the game to get this weapon, but acquiring it should be more than worth it.

The reason why the Dark Moon Greatsword is a terrific weapon is the fact that it imbues the sword itself with magic. Hence, its special ability will allow it to increase its overall physical and magical damage and will allow you to swing a wave of magical energy with every strike.

5. Sword of Night & Flame

Sword of Night and Flame

Best For: Warrior, Samurai, Confessor, and Prisoner

One of the best swords in the game is the Sword of Night & Flame, which is also one of the most unique weapons in Elden Ring due to the fact that it comes with three different types of attacks. Its special skill allows it to cast a spell that depends on the stance of the player. This means that it is a favorite among those who have high Int stats but prefer to fight melee. But the reason why it works well on Confessors is the fact that it has a high Faith requirement.

RELATED:

Sword Of Night And Flame Elden Ring: Where & How To Get It

To get the Sword of Night & Flame, you need to go to the Caria Manor in Liurna of the lakes. Go to the Manor Lower Level Site of Grace and then go to the rooftops until you see some thin pathways. Go left in the third pathway, and you can find a roof that you can jump on. Jump on another roof, and then you will see a ladder that will take you to a chest that contains the Sword of Night & Flame.

4. Wing of Astel

elden 6228478adb3c2 1646806922

Best For: Warrior, Samurai, and Prisoner

A lot of people look at the Wing of Astel as a replacement for the Moonveil, and there’s a good reason for that. Even though plenty of players still prefers the Moonveil, the Wing of Astel is a great Int sword that allows you to make use of an explosive mist that deals gravity damage to nearby enemies. It can also send out waves of magical energy that are going to take a chunk out of your opponents’ healthy.

You can find the Wing of Astel in the Uhl Palace Ruins in the underground area when you get to the Ainsel River. You’re going to eventually see an ant with a huge head, and that means that it’s guarding a cave that you need to enter to get to eventually get to a chest where you will find the Wing of Astel.

3. Uchigatana

Uchigatana Elden Ring 1024x576 1

Best For: Warrior, Samurai, and Prisoner

You might be wondering why the Uchigatana, a Dex weapon in its base form, is on this list. But hear us out first. The Uchigatana is one of the most versatile weapons in the entire game because you can change its Ash of War and even its scaling. That means that you can change it to an Int weapon and take advantage of its somewhat quick attacks and its ability to use different Ashes of War.

To acquire the Uchigatana, you need to be able to either start out as a Samurai or go to the Deathtouched Catacombs in Stormhill in Limgrave. It’s a fairly easy and basic weapon but is going to be very strong when you know how to maximize its versatility.

2. Nagakiba

in elden ring how to get the nagakiba katana

Best For: Samurai and Prisoner

The Nagakiba is like the Uchigatana in the sense that it seems like a basic weapon but is actually amazing because of its versatility. It is similar to the Uchigatana but has a higher range and better attack power, even though it might be slower. And like the Uchigatana, you can change its scaling to Int so that you can take advantage of your Int-based stats.

You can get the Nagakiba early in the game by killing Bloody Finger Hunter Yura. However, if you don’t want to kill an NPC, you can get this weapon later in the game by completing Bloody Finger Yura’s questline.

1. Moonveil

elden ring moonveil.jpg

Best For: Warrior, Samurai, and Prisoner

The Moonveil is quite possibly the strongest weapon for Int users and is right up there in terms of the game’s strongest weapons. That’s because this katana has an overpowered skill called Transient Moonlight, which allows you to unsheathe the katana and release a powerful wave of energy that can be either horizontal or vertical. The vertical slash is what makes it a great option against bosses because just a few hits will stagger them and will allow you to land a powerful critical attack.

You can find the Moonveil fairly early in the game by going to the Gael Tunnel in Caelid. The tough part of getting the weapon is the Magma Wyrm that you need to kill. Otherwise, it’s a fairly easy weapon to acquire early in the game, and you’re going to end up breezing through Elden Ring if you build your stats and your equipment around this weapon’s potential.

Faith Weapons

Faith weapons are usually reserved for the Confessors and sometimes the Prophets because of how these are the classes that tend to have high Faith stats. In most cases, Faith weapons are paired with Incantations that can be used by using seals in the left hand. That said, let’s look at some of the best Faith weapons Elden Ring has to offer.

10. Sword of Night & Flame

Sword of Night and Fire Featured

Best For: Warrior, Samurai, Confessor, and Prisoner

The Sword of Night & Flame has been discussed as a great choice for Int-based characters. However, one of the things that people should know is that this sword actually scales better with Faith when it gets to higher levels. On top of that, its special ability is stronger when you have a higher Faith stat. As such, just make sure your Int is high enough to use this weapon before focusing almost all of your efforts on Faith, especially if you’re using a Confessor or a Prisoner.

Again, this sword can be acquired by going to Caria Manor. It is best to use the Manor Lower Level Site of Grace and then turn left to get to some rooftops that you can jump on. This sword should be easy to spot as long as you make sure that you hop on the proper rooftops.

9. Scythe

Screen Shot 2022 03 16 at 5.27.38 PM

Best For: Hero, Warrior, Confessor

The Scythe is the standard weapon that you should be getting at the start of the game if you prefer to use a Faith-based character. This means that it is best for Confessors at the start, although Heroes and Warriors that want to invest in Faith can also use it. However, because of the Confessor’s high Faith stat, it is the best class to use this weapon.

What the Scythe is going to do is that it’s going to be strong at hemorrhaging your opponents on top of the fact that its range is also quite impressive. Use it together with Faith incantations to maximize the power of your Confessor or any other Faith character you have. The Scythe can be acquired in the Cliffbottom Catacombs, which should be available near the beginning of the game.

8. Golden Halberd

Elden Ring Tree Sentinel Boss

Best For: Hero, Warrior, Vagabond, and Confessor

The thing about the Golden Halberd is that it’s not going to be the best weapon when you think about its overall Faith scaling, but it still scales well with Faith. So, if you’re running with a Strength character that has a bit of Faith, this might be a good weapon to have because of the fact that it scales really well with Strength.

You can get this weapon by defeating the Tree Sentinel that you can find in Limgrave at the very beginning of the game. While some people are able to defeat this beast at a lower level, we recommend that you wait for a few levels later before you attempt to challenge this guy. But if you can beat him with your skill, especially if you’re a veteran of Souls games, then you might want to try your luck against him.

7. Coded Sword

Elden Ring Coded Sword

Best For: Confessor

The Coded Sword is one of the strongest weapons for Faith builds because of the very fact that it has a B Faith scaling. But be warned that it does no physical damage whatsoever and focuses more on its Holy damage. That means that it should be reserved for pure Faith builds like the Confessor.

What we like about this weapon is the fact that it has a skill called Unblockable Blade, which literally is unblockable. As such, if you are facing opponents that tend to use their shields, you might want to use the Coded Sword’s skill to punish them.

6. Nagakiba

maxresdefault 16

Best For: Warrior, Vagabond, Samurai, and Confessor

The Nagakiba is one of the most versatile weapons in the game because it can be used by Faith-based characters as well. However, what you need to do with the Nagakiba is to change its scaling to Faith and to infuse it with an Ash of War that goes well with its Faith scaling. This will allow you to use this weapon as a great Faith sword that can be taken advantage of because of its reach. We recommend that you use the Unsheathe Ash of War.

You can acquire the Nagakiba from Bloody Finger Hunter Yura early on by killing him. Then again, it might be better to complete his entire questline because you can acquire this weapon from him later on.

5. Cipher Pata

Elden Ring Cipher Pata Duak Wield 850x478 1

Best For: Warrior and Confessor

The Cipher Pata is one of the most unique weapons in the entire game because it is a bladed fist weapon that is actually really fast and hits really well. This is a Faith weapon that does well with the Confessor and other characters that may want to use fists and are not shy when it comes to investing in their Faith stat. This is a holy weapon that can penetrate shields really well and allows you to move swiftly.

You can acquire this weapon by defeating Mad Tongue Alberich in the Roundtable Hold. The weapon can be found in the rooms that you can access after defeating Alberich. That means that you can get this weapon quite early and just after defeating Margit.

4. Winged Scythe

ELDEN RING TITLE IMAGE

Best For: Confessor

The Winged Scythe is probably the standard weapon that Confessors should use because it scales really well with Faith and can be acquired fairly early in the game. In fact, a lot of people tend to stick with this weapon for a long time because of how great it is for Faith builds. The Winged Scythe does holy damage and causes blood loss as well. It even has a really great skill that looks cool.

You can acquire the Winged Scythe by traveling to the Tombsward Ruins in the Weeping Peninsula just south of Limgrave. It should be inside the ruins and is quite easy to spot. That means that you can get it quite early in the game as long as you make the long journey south to the Weeping Peninsula.

3. Gargoyle’s Black Halberd

Elden Ring Gargoyles Black Halberd

Best For: Warrior, Vagabond, and Confessor

The Gargoyle’s Black Halberd should be one of the most excellent weapons that Strength builds with high Faith stats should use because of the fact that it scales really well with both Strength and Faith. This allows you to hit hard because of the range and power this weapon has.

However, the knock on this weapon is the fact that it might not be the easiest to obtain. You can get it from Black Blade Kindred over at the northern part of Dragonbarrow. This guy is a pain in the butt because of how tanky he is and how he hits really hard.

2. Gargoyle’s Blackblade

Best For: Warrior, Vagabond, and Confessor

The Gargoyle’s Blackblade can be acquired from Black Blade Kindred as well. He can be found guarding the Beastial Sanctum over at the Dragonbarrow. Again, this dude is hard to kill but is going to make you see how worth it killing him is.

What you’re going to love about the Gargoyle’s Blackblade is the fact that it scales well with Faith as well. It isn’t too different from the Black Halberd but comes with a great long-ranged skill that allows you to launch your weapon from a good distance. This means that its skill has more range compared to the Black Halberd.

1. Blasphemous Blade

Best For: Warrior, Vagabond, and Confessor

Finally, the Blasphemous Blade takes the top spot when it comes to the best Faith weapon on this list. The thing about it is that it scales well with both Strength and Faith but has a better scaling with Faith in the final upgrade level. This means that you’re going to be able to deal massive amounts of damage with its unique skill.

Then again, the Blasphemous Blade can only be acquired by defeating Rykard in the game. The Lord of Blasphemy is going to be a very difficult dude to kill and ranks up there as one of the toughest fights in the game. Still, if you do end up beating him, you’re going to get a really cool sword.
