Does Tanjito Find Haganesuka At The Swordsmith Village?

Episode three of the Demon Slayer: Swordsmith Village Arc is titled “A Sword From Over 300 Years Ago,” which is about the end of the previous episode. Tanjiro was training with the mechanical doll, and one of his attacks was lethal enough that it ended up taking the head of the doll off. The hit was pretty cool to see and showed Tanjiro’s ability to adapt when confronting enemies that are more powerful than him. However, the really important thing was that once the doll’s head was taken off the body, it revealed an ancient sword encrusted in the body.

Demon Slayer: Does Kotetsu Reveal His Face Under the Mask?

Tanjiro and Kotetsu are frightened but then curious about the mysterious sword. It seems like a sign, Tanjiro needs a new sword, and then they discover one. It must be destiny. Kotetsu says that Tanjiro can take the sword with him because he needs it. They get excited as they prepare themselves to unsheathe the sword, but when they do, their expectations reach the bottom level when they see that the sword is completely rusty. In this state, the sword is useless, but someone Tanjiro has been looking for appears before them.

It is Haganesuka, Tanjiro’s swordsmith. He looks different from the last time we saw him, though; he is taller and bigger, all muscle. He approaches Tanjiro and says that he will take care of the sword. In the face of this hostile and rude approach, Tanjiro and Kotetsu deny Haganesuka access to the sword and fight with him for the right to take it. Another swordsmith, named Kanamori, appears and starts tickling Haganesuka. This is his weak point, and the man falls to the ground.

Kanamori explains that after news of Tanjiro’s sword breaking reached them in the village, Haganesuka isolated himself in the mountains to train. The training aimed for Haganesuka to become stronger, so he could make a stronger sword for Tanjiro. Haganesuka’s sacrifice moves Tanjiro for him. Haganesuka is just too proud to reveal his motivations to Tanjiro. He wakes up and gives Tanjiro a temporary sword while he takes the rusty one to try to return it to its past glory. The secrets of the sword will have to wait a bit longer.

Are Tanjiro And Genya Not Friends?

The next time we see Tanjiro is later that day, as he is eating and telling everything that happened with the doll, and the swordsmiths to Genya, who seems clearly annoyed that Tanjiro is speaking to him. Genya screams at Tanjiro and tells him not to treat him as if he was his friend. This baffles Tanjiro, who thought they were friends by default. There is a funny moment when Tanjiro points out Genya’s missing tooth and how he still has it because he wants to return it to him. Genya is also baffled by Tanjiro’s behavior and throws him out of the room.

Tanjiro and Nezuko are in their room, and Tanjiro is braiding Nezuko’s hair while planning how to get Genya to be friendly to him. He plans to ask Genya for dinner the next day. He knows they can be good friends if he makes an effort. Tokito, the Mist Hashira, arrives and sits down to talk to Tanjiro. Tokito is emotionless and doesn’t understand why Tanjiro is the way he is. Tanjiro reveals that he always helps others because, in the long run, it always becomes beneficial to him. Good karma. Tokito is surprised by this statement and reveals something in his heart.

However, Tokito’s epiphany will have to wait because a demon enters the room immediately. This is not a normal demon; it is an upper rank, Hantengu, to be more precise. Hantengu enters, crawling and crying, as is usual for him. Tokito and Tanjiro only have a few seconds to react, and Tokito launches the first attack but misses. However, on his second attempt, he manages to sever the demon’s head. However, something horrible happens. The severed head grows a body, while the headless body grows a head. Hantengu has divided himself into two different entities.

The demons launch their attack, and Tokito gets expelled from the room very far away. Tanjiro and Nezuko manage to stay in the room, but their efforts are pointless; this demon is quite strong. Genya appears and shoots off the heads of both demons, but the same happens, and now there are four demons to fight. Genya seems gravely hurt, and Tanjiro is also about to die. Meanwhile, Tokito finds Kotetsu being attacked in the woods. Following Tanjiro’s teachings, Tokito stops to help Kotetsu and kill the giant fish demon that was attacking the boy.
