Where To Find Rivers Of Blood Katana In Elden Ring?

While it might be ideal to get the Rivers of Blood katana as early as possible, the sad news is that players that are looking to build blood loss characters won’t be able to get this sword early. The truth is that you would need to go through Leyndell, Royal Capital, first and defeat Morgott the Omen King so that you can get this katana.

The reason why defeating Morgott is essential is the fact that Rivers of Blood can only be found in the Mountaintops of the Giants, which you can only access once you’ve defeated Morgott. There is no other way to access this area in Elden Ring, unlike other areas that you can access before you even progress through the game’s story.

Getting through Leyndell won’t be easy because it is full of powerful monsters and enemies. On top of that, Morgott isn’t an enemy that you can take easily because he is quite powerful and can be difficult to defeat if your level is still low. The recommended level to take on Morgott is at least 80, but we still found it difficult to go through Leyndell with a character that’s level 115.

That said, we recommend that you level up first before you go through Leyndell and defeat Morgott. After that, you can now go to the Mountaintops of the Giants to obtain the Rivers of Blood in that area. How To Get The Rivers Of Blood Katana?

Getting to the Mountaintops of the Giants by going through Leyndell and Morgott is actually the toughest part of getting the Rivers of Blood Katana. However, the challenge is not yet over. That’s because you still need to do something else to get the katana.

After defeating Morgott, you will have to exit Leyndell through the gate that’s opposite the place where the Endtree Avatar is going to pop out. You will know that you’re in the right place if you find an area that’s dusty and full of monsters instead of guards or knights. Just move on forward to get to a large elevator.

Take the large elevator so that you’ll be able to exit Leyndell, Royal Capital. You will eventually find yourself in an area called the Forbidden Lands. Simply breeze through this area until you reach the Grand Lift of Rold. Melina should have given you a medallion that will allow you to operate this lift.

Using the Grand Lift of Rold will take you to the Mountaintops of the Giants. Once there, what you need to do is to go to the southeast side of the map and look for a place called the Church of Repose.

Once you get there, you will be invaded by an NPC called Bloody Finger Okina. Simply defeat Okina, and you’ll be rewarded the Rivers of Blood katana. Take note that defeating Bloody Finger Okina is part of the Bloody Finger Hunter Yura questline, which you might also be interested in completing.
