The Mangekyō Sharingan in Naruto is an advanced form of the Sharingan that only a very few Uchiha clan members have awakened. It is significantly stronger than a normal Sharingan and grants the user special abilities. However, its use damages eyesight and ultimately leads to total blindness. Even by the Uchiha Clan’s high standards for combat prowess, Izuna Uchiha was regarded as one of the most formidable warriors in the clan’s history. Tobirama, who was regarded as the fastest shinobi of his time, was no match for him thanks to his skill. The first Uchiha to activate the Mangekyō Sharingan were Izuna and Madara.
