NieR: Automata Anime Dub: Potential Release Date
The NieR: Automata anime series, NieR: Automata Ver1.1a, has recently hit viewers’ screens worldwide – and Nier fans have been hyped about this new series ever since its debut. However, English-speaking anime lovers are still keen on finding out more about the anime dub’s potential release date.
NieR: Automata Ver1.1a is being subbed in English and released on Crunchyroll, but there is no official release date for the NieR: Automata Ver1.1a English dub. However, some of the same anime voice actors who did the English voice-overs in the video game are rumored to be involved in the anime series, which implies that the creators could be gearing up for an English dub in the future.
Although anime fans still have tons of questions about the NieR: Automata anime dub, we do have a couple of leads that seem fairly promising. Stick around to find out everything there is to know about the anime dub so far, including the potential release date as well as additional options for English-speaking anime fans.
Will NieR: Automata Ver1.1a Get an English Dub?
So far, the NieR: Automata Ver1.1a anime series seems to be an adaptation of the iconic NieR Automata video game, at least in terms of Nier’s most infamous characters as well as the running plot, premise, and overall storyline. As such, Nier fans from all over the world have started expecting to see a few similarities between the two installments.
Considering that the original Nier video game did feature a full English voiceover option, the vast majority of fans are expecting to see a fully dubbed English version of the NieR: Automata Ver1.1a anime series – which is currently on Episode 3. Quite a large portion of the Nier Automata fanbase had already gotten accustomed to hearing 2B and 9S speaking in English, and many would like these English voices to remain the same.
Although there is no official statement saying that NieR: Automata Ver1.1a will be fully dubbed in English, there are some leads that point to this being the case. Given the NieR Automata franchise’s popularity and reputation, an official and full English dub for the new anime series is almost expected at this point.
Still, there may actually be some good news for those hoping to hear YoRHa No. 2 Type B (2B) and YoRHa No. 9 Type S (9S) flaunting their original video game voices – although this is yet to be officially confirmed. Rumor has it that the NieR: Automata Ver1.1a is featuring the original anime voice actors for both of these loveable characters, considering that they have played these characters in every iteration so far.
Kira Buckland and Kyle McCarley absolutely loved their characters in the NieR Automata video game, so they may just return to voice the same characters in NieR: Automata Ver1.1a – however, as mentioned, this is not official as of yet. Some fans on Reddit (who also sneaked out the above preview images) have argued that the anime voice actor for 9S may not actually be hired for the anime series, believing that he was not hired back by Crunchyroll for Mob Psycho 100.
There is still a chance that the English voice cast from the video game may be hired for the anime series (or at least some of the anime voice actors). But, it remains to be seen if the other anime voice actors from the video game’s English dub will actually be involved in the anime series.
NieR: Automata Ver1.1a Anime Dub Potential Release Date
Since the hype for enjoying NieR: Automata Ver1.1a in English is so high, many fans have actually started choosing to skip the original anime series – in the hopes of starting their binge-watching session once the English dub comes out. However, if that’s the case for you, you may end up waiting around for much longer than anticipated.
At the time of writing, there is no official information regarding the release date of the NieR: Automata Ver1.1a anime English dub – either by Crunchyroll or by A-1 Pictures, the streaming platform and studio that is producing the NieR: Automata Ver1.1a anime series. Anime lovers hope it’ll be sooner than later, however, as Nier fans cannot wait to get into this new NieR: Automata iteration.
NieR: Automata Ver1.1a Anime English Sub
Crunchyroll is gearing up to release the subbed version of NieR: Automata Ver1.1a, which will be a major plus for English anime fans worldwide. However, the subbing and voice-over options may not actually be limited to English – there seem to be quite a few language options for anime lovers from various cultural backgrounds.
Additional options will add subs for Brazilian Portuguese, English, French, German, and Latin American voice acting. This will be a major plus for anime lovers from all parts of the world, as the anime series will be hitting viewers’ screens in North America, Central America, South America, Europe, Africa, Oceania, the Middle East, and CIS.
That’s everything there is to know about the NieR: Automata Ver1.1a anime dub release date so far. While fans will still have to wait an indefinite time frame before seeing the NieR: Automata Ver1.1a anime series fully dubbed into English, we will still be able to enjoy Crunchyroll’s NieR: Automata Ver1.1a English subbed version in the meantime.
