Ultra Instinct Goku vs. Moro: Who Would Win in a Fight?

Ultra Instinct Goku vs. Moro: Who Would Win in a Fight?

Share:

Akira Toriyama’s cult classic manga Dragon Ball has some of the best and most powerful characters (and fighters) in the world of anime and manga. Son Goku is usually our go-to character when these comparisons are concerned; that will also be the case in this article. But, even Goku is not invincible, and there have been instances where he would lose in a fight. In this article, we are going to determine whether the Super Saiyan warrior, in his Ultra Instinct form, could defeat the ancient wizard Moro in a fight.

Goku was able to defeat Moro in the manga, as we have seen, and that was using his Ultra Instinct form. The Ultra Instinct form is a technique of the gods that Goku has managed to activate. It was enough for the Saiyan warrior to defeat the evil wizard, who was genuinely shocked when he realized the true nature of Goku’s form.

Now that you have the short version of the answer, the rest of the article is going to be divided into three sections, with the first two introducing the characters, their powers, and their abilities. In the end, we’re going to give our final verdict and explanation on why Goku was ultimately able to defeat Moro using Ultra Instinct

Perfect Ultra Instinct Goku and his powers

Son Goku has attained a divine state known as the Ultra Instinct. Son Goku is currently in his most potent state. It’s probable that Akira Toriyama planned white hair rather than Super Saiyan Blue’s blue hair, which would explain the white hair. Toriyama was eventually forced to change the color to blue so as not to clash with a future enemy. Obviously, this enemy Toriyama was talking about was fused Zamasu, which hadn’t been revealed yet at the interview. The Ultra Instinct was created between 2015 and 2017 by Akira Toriyama.

As the highest known power of the Autonomous Ultra Instinct, this is Son Goku’s most powerful transformation in history, surpassing any power he had before, including his previous Ultra Instinct Sign state.

Upon entering this state, all of Goku’s abilities and skills (physical strength, speed, senses, reflexes, defense, resistance, dexterity, among others) suddenly explode, and the mortal reaches a level that even the gods cannot reach, surpassing the Gods of Destruction, and according to the Japanese magazine Animedia, the God of Destruction of Universe 7 Beerus, in the anime, acknowledges that he believes that Goku in this state might be superior to him in power.

Just as Universe 11’s Pride Soldier, Jiren, and himself can do while using the Ultra Instinct Sign, Son Goku transformed into this divine state is capable of shaking, in his physical sense, the Kingdom of Nothingness, a great dimension consisting of an endless void where there is nothing and the concept of space-time does not exist and therefore does not apply, in its entirety.

In turn, the Saiyan in this transformation not only exceeds the speed of sound and light but also transcends the laws and the very concept of space and time as a whole and their control.

Son Goku, by using this transformation, fights much better and is superior to Jiren the Gray, with whom he perfectly managed to have a fight after he managed to increase his power to the maximum level, not only totally surpassing his strength but also being able to completely counter Jiren’s Superheated Magnetron ki, to the point where he not only held it in his hand but disintegrated it with nothing more than a flick of his fingers.

However, Jiren was certainly able to catch up, albeit without completely surpassing him, and apparently had some advantage over Goku during certain moments after remembering the traumas and bad memories of his dark past, which caused him to awaken a hidden potential beyond his abilities, limits and activate the Heat of the ultimate warrior, with which he was able to give Goku some fight for almost a full minute.

Goku’s hatred and bravery greatly boosted his power and speed in this form when he successfully deflected Jiren’s Power Slam when he assaulted his companions. From that point on, he was able to defeat Jiren easily by striking Jiren with powerful blows, effectively dodging and blocking all of Jiren’s attacks, including his numerous physical, ranged, and quick-hit offensive techniques and abilities, leaving him severely depleted. If Goku hadn’t suffered such severe physical damage from the Ultra Instinct, Jiren would not have had Goku at his mercy.

Moro and his powers

Molo is an extremely powerful genocidal evil sorcerer and wizard who threatened to eradicate all life forms in Universe 7 over ten million years ago until he was defeated by the Kaioshin deities and imprisoned in the prison of Molo’s headquarters, the Galactic Police, which is the Galactic Patrol today.

The mage’s power level is fairly high, but his magical might is considerably greater. Only after the Great Kaioshin gave up the majority of his divine power to seal Moro’s magic was Moro able to overcome the Southern Kaioshin and the Great Kaioshin of Universe 7, who both possessed all of their divine strength.

His high level of strength has made it impossible for any member of the Galactic Patrol, including the super elite Merus, in the last ten million years to execute him. Even Son Goku was surprised after feeling his ki. However, Goku and Merus fear his magical powers more than his fighting strength. Having regained some of the authentic magic from him, Molo proved to be strong enough to kill the Messiah of Namek without even looking at him.

However, Molo finds himself at a certain disadvantage when fighting against Boo Gordo, who has regained his memories and the latent potential of the Great Kaioshin of Universe 7. Although he is able to stab Boo without him being able to react in time, as well as Withstanding relatively some of the offense, Majin-Boo gradually gets the better of him, largely due to Boo being immune to his magic and ability to regenerate.

Boo Gordo notes that power-wise, Moro is “weak” compared to him. However, once Molo restores all of his magical power, he is able to best Universe 7’s Great Kaio-shin, his greatest threat, without receiving a scratch.

Goku vs. Moru: Who Wins?

And now for our article’s most important and interesting section – the analysis. Here, we will use what we have learned about these two characters and analyze how all these facts would (or would not) help them in a fight against each other. Let us continue.

The fight between Moro and Gooku took place after Goku achieved Ultra Instinct. If you remember the manga, Moro was wholly shocked when he saw Goku being able to use the power of the Gods. And while Goku was initially unable to stay in the form for too long, their second battle saw Goku prepared.

At one point, he effectively activated Ultra Instinct, and Moro was completely helpless from that moment on. The wizard even broke his arm as he was trying to pierce Goku’s chest, something he was able to do earlier. How did he break it? By simply coming into contact with Goku’s body. Regardless of which form Moru manifested, he couldn’t do much against Ultra Instinct Goku, and that is why he lost the fight, and that is why we have a canon answer to this question.
