Jujutsu Kaisen: How Strong (& Fast) is Toji in Sukuna’s Fingers?

Toji Foshiguro is unique in many ways; this is a fact that all fans of Jujutsu Kaisen know well. He was born with a Heavenly Restriction, but despite that, he became so powerful that he defeated even Satoru Gojo once while Gojo was still a student. Toji reappeared once again in Shibuya and defeated and exorcised Dagon almost effortlessly, bringing him back into the spotlight. Now, Toji’s power and skills cannot be doubted here, but how strong is he actually? In this article, we are going to determine how strong and fast Toji was based on a scale focused on Sukuna’s Fingers.

Toji’s strength in Sukuna’s Fingers

Toji Fushiguro was one of the strongest characters in the whole series. He beat Gojo and Geto once, he killed Dagon effortlessly, and he was very close to killing Megumi as well. And while we have explained that he would have probably been classified as a Special Grade, we’d like to compare him using another scale – the one based on Sukuna’s Fingers. Now, this is not an official scale by any means, and what we are about to tell you is based on estimates collected from the official canon materials, but while they are fact-based estimates, they are by no means precise pieces of information.

So, we know that there are 20 of Sukuna’s fingers, and with each one, Sukuna becomes more powerful. No one officially scaled their power based on this scale, but we do know that some characters’ powers have been compared using this scale: for example, Mahito, Hanami, and Dagon are at 6-7 fingers, while Jogo is 8-9; Rika was probably somewhere between 16-18 fingers, while Gojo is probably 20 fingers. These are all estimates, but they are useful.

Now, we know that Toji single-handedly offed Dagon, a powerful Special Grade, meaning that he is stronger than him. We don’t know how he would fare off against Jogo, but based on what he did to Dagon, as well as his earlier fights against Gojo and Geto, we assume that he is between 9 and 11 of Sukuna’s fingers, which is impressive. He could potentially be even stronger, but we don’t really have enough data to confirm that.

As stated, this is just an estimate, and Akutami might reveal a more precise piece of data later, but this estimate is based on the facts seen in the Jujutsu Kaisen canon.

Toji’s speed in Sukuna’s fingers

Aside from his strength, one of the more amazing aspects of Toji’s character is his enormous speed. In Gojo’s Past Arc, he was able to achieve speeds that were greater than Gojo’s and Geto’s attacks, which is quite impressive. Later on, he was able to travel through Shibuya with ease, demonstrating amazing speed and agility in eliminating his opponents. This was best seen during his fight against Dagon, whom he defeated almost effortlessly, stopping the powerful S-Grade from running away by catching up to him with ease.

We’ve said above that scaling Toji’s strength in Sukuna’s Fingers is complex because we don’t have any official data to use as a reference, but we do know more when his speed is considered. Namely, as the series confirmed. Namely, in Chapter 111 (p. 6-7) and Episode 39 of the Jujutsu Kaisen series, Megumi outright confirms that Toji is faster than 3F Sukuna, which surprised him, seeing that he had no cursed energy at all. In Chapter 113 (p. 10-11) and Episode 40, Megumi further confirmed that Toji’s speed actually matched Sukuna’s without cursed energy, which is a good piece of information.

Now, knowing that Sukuna, at the time, had four fingers in his possession – and that is the info that Megumi had at the time – and that Toji was probably even faster than him at the time, we can assume that Toji’s speed is around five of Sukuna’s Fingers, which is quite impressive and shows why Toji was so feared.
