Predator is an American science fiction media franchise created by Jim and John Thomas based on the original action movie Predator released in 1987. The franchise consists of several movies, novels, comics, and video games as well as several crossovers with other fictional universes. The Predator franchise revolves around a violent trophy-seeking alien species known as Yautja and details the deadly encounters that happened between humans and Yautja.
