Toji vs. Mahito: Here’s Who Would Win in a Fight!
Jujutsu Kaisen is renowned for its strong leads and amazing battles, some of which rank among the greatest animated in anime history. With the series also being popular for its characters, we’ve decided to compare two powerful characters from the show. Both of them are villains, but there is a difference. While Mahito, one of the two characters in this comparison, is one of the most loathed characters in the series and has a truly vile persona, Toji Fushiguro, the second one, is also a villain, but he is very popular because of his layered story. Who would win? Keep reading to find out!
Powers and abilities
Mahito is an S-Class Cursed Spirit that is not registered. He faced off against Grade 1 Exorcist Kento Nanami one-on-one and won. During this encounter, Mahito was able to gain strength, which allowed him to advance abilities like Domain Expansion. Later, during the Shibuya Incident, Mahito engaged in combat at a level outside his comfort zone, becoming an expert in soul manipulation and creating whole, indistinguishable duplicates of himself.
Toji’s incredible physical strength enabled him to effortlessly take control of Floating Cloud from Maki, another person with remarkable physical prowess. Using Playful Cloud, an item that depends on the user’s physical strength, Toji was able to effortlessly fight Dagon and his Shikigami. It’s been reported time and time again that Toji moves so quickly that his opponents can’t read him. Toji approaches his missions with prudence, discernment, and attention, which makes him an exceptionally dangerous foe.
Despite Mahito’s adaptation abilities and his fighting prowess, it is debatable whether he would even be able to hit Toji, so Toji definitely wins this category.
Points: Mahito 0, Toji 1
Fighting skills
Although it is unknown if Mahito is a truly skilled fighter, he is a formidable foe. In addition to his increased durability, which improves his defensive potential, he possesses superhuman strength that, when paired with his other skills, can cause devastating damage to his opponents. Mahito is incredibly quick, which poses a serious threat to opponents due to his speed and reflexes.
Toji is skilled with a wide variety of weapons. His whole fighting style is based on replacing magical energy with weapons. He has a large arsenal with him, so he can change out his weapons as needed. Whether or not the object is cursed, and whether or not the weapon is sharp, Toji has proven to be incredibly talented and knowledgeable in the use of his weapons. He is able to switch up his weaponry while battling. Toji has demonstrated that he is an extremely precise marksman when using a pistol.
Toji’s fighting skills are basically unparalleled in the series, and we think that only Gojo and Sukuna could parry him. Mahito definitely couldn’t, so Toji wins this one as well.
Points: Mahito 0, Toji 2
Jujutsu
Given that Mahito is a cursed spirit, his levels of cursed energy are quite astounding; they have been called enormous, and even Kento Nanami has acknowledged the extent of his cursed energy. Mahito’s abilities increased further as the narrative went on. He is able to use the Black Flash and even erect obstacles. In addition, he possesses an extremely potent Domain that amplifies his Idle Transformation, an innate skill that Mahito developed to transform a person’s soul.
Unlike all previous cases in history, Toji does not possess cursed energy. With his Heavenly Restriction, the cursed energy was completely removed from his body. Consequently, Toji has the ability to avoid detection by other exorcists and even maneuver past barriers, even the Sixth Eye. This increased his unpredictability in battle and caused people to underestimate him based only on cursed energy.
This is a category that Mahito wins simply because Toji doesn’t have cursed energy, so we have to be objective here.
Points: Mahito 1, Toji 2
Despite Mahito’s powers, Toji clearly wins this one
The points confirm it as well, but even without them, we’d have been quite sure that Toji would win. Sure, Mahito is powerful, but Toji’s a beast, and he is on the level of Gojo and Sukuna, so we’re quite certain that he would be able to beat Mahito in a fight; it is debatable whether Mahito would even be able to hit him.
