Sasuke Uchiha is one of the most important characters in the whole Naruto franchise. The antihero of the series, Sasuke, has been it all – the villain, the hero, and, finally, an antihero that beautifully complements Naruto’s heroic ideals. On top of that, Sasuke is also one of the strongest characters in the whole series. Many of his powers and abilities stem from the fact that he could use the Rinnegan, but he lost it in Boruto after being stabbed by Momoshiki, who possessed Boruto at the time. Sasuke is significantly weaker without his primary technique, and in this article, we will tell you whether he can still use Susanoo after losing the Rinnegan.

Susanoo is a chakra avatar that can be summoned by those who have awakened the Mangekyō Sharingan in both eyes. It is an exceptionally powerful technique, and Sasuke Uchiha can still use it, even after losing the Rinnegan. This is because Susanoo is tied to the Sharingan rather than the Rinnegan, so Sasuke can use it normally.

In this article, we will tell you just how strong Sasuke Uchiha is without his Rinnegan, i.e., we will explain his powers and abilities in more detail, from which you will understand how Susanoo is still available to him. We will go over his powers and abilities (the Rinnegan excluded), revealing and explaining to you just how powerful he is. We will also answer some additional questions related to his powers and abilities.

How did Sasuke lose his Rinnegan?

The Rinnegan has been a trademark technique of Sasuke Uchiha and his whole clan. It was difficult to imagine the most famous and exceptionally powerful member of the Uchiha clan without his trademark technique. But it happened. Sasuke helped Kawaki battle Momoshiki when Momoshiki revealed that he intended to feed Kawaki to Isshiki’s Jubi because the host’s body still had a significant amount of Ōtsutsuki DNA. Naruto loses consciousness throughout the battle because of his previously unreachable power.

As he had pledged to his pupil, Sasuke decided to kill Boruto if necessary. Assuming that Momoshiki had emerged after Boruto passed out due to chakra exhaustion, he reasoned that restoring the boy’s chakra might enable his personality to reappear. He observed that Momoshiki avoided absorbing any chakra-based ninjutsu with Kama. Momoshiki’s Vanishing Rasengan struck Sasuke as he was strategizing with Kawaki.

Following Kawaki’s insistence that Momoshiki learns a technique for self-sacrifice, Boruto is able to awaken and elude Momoshiki’s control. After this brutal battle, Sasuke, Boruto, and Kawaki discovered that Naruto’s safety depended on Kurama sacrificing his life energy. Boruto was the group’s only chance to leave the alien dimension because Sasuke’s Rinnegan was shattered, and Kawaki’s Kama was lost. Boruto could open a portal with Kawaki’s assistance, and Sasuke guided a weak Naruto through it. Sasuke and his allies were happy to make it home safely after their battle.

Can Sasuke use Susanoo after losing the Rinnegan?

Sasuke’s Susano’o evolves through massive bouts of hate. It has a bow as its main weapon, which serves as both a melee weapon and a shield, but it also has a sword. The darts of chakra, which it shoots with incredible speed, are produced in a bullet in its third arm. After he acquires his permanent Mangekyō Sharingan, this orb turns into an Amaterasu flame, and he gains a sword made of the black flames of Amaterasu. Compared to Itachi’s version, his Susano’o is more reminiscent of a demon, which is amplified after acquiring the permanent Mangekyō Sharingan. After the Rin’negan’s awakening, Sasuke’s Susano’o closely resembles Madara’s in that it now has a full body with legs and armor.

We have now established that Susanoo, as a chakra avatar, depends on the Mangekyō Sharingan. The Mangekyō Sharingan is an advanced form of the Sharingan, which is the innate eye technique of the Uchiha Clan, which means that Sasuke can use it normally. The Sharingan is not directly connected to the Rinnegan. Since Susanoo is tied to the Mangekyō Sharingan, Sasuke can still use Susanoo, even after losing his Rinnegan to a Momoshiki-controlled Boruto. This very important fact illustrates just how powerful Sasuke remained, even after losing the Rinnegan.

What are Sasuke’s remaining powers after losing the Rinnegan?

Before we wrap this up, let us just quickly tell you the powers Sasuke retained even after losing his Rinnegan. Sasuke has a lot of Chakra, which allows him to perform a powerful Fire Release technique at a young age. In the second part, his Chakra levels skyrocketed, allowing him to summon a giant snake-like Manda and use the Chidori multiple times in a single day, a significant improvement considering he could only do it twice before.

While repeatedly developing and using the Mangekyō Sharingan using chakra-draining techniques, Sasuke effectively fought multiple battles during the Kage Gathering before succumbing to exhaustion, noting that his Chakra became much darker and colder than when using the Cursed Seal of Heaven, as stated by Karin, in part due to the influence of the Curse of Hatred.

After obtaining Itachi’s eyes and awakening the Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan, his Chakra pool increased much more to the point of using several high-level techniques, depleting only during his battle against Naruto. The quality and power of Sasuke’s Chakra are incredibly strong among even the Uchiha members because he is the reincarnation of Indra Ōtsutsuki, so his Chakra runs in him.

During the second part, his control over the chakra grew as he used various powerful techniques with one hand, and his chakra was so powerful that he could free himself from Danzō’s Cursed Tongue Eradication Jutsu. Later, after meeting Hagoromo, Sasuke received part of his powerful Chakra, being able to increase the power of his techniques, as well as giving him special properties such as being able to touch Madara Uchiha’s shadow.

He mastered the Fire Release: Great Fireball Technique at the age of 7 after only a week of training which earned him praise from his father. He also knows how to use Fire Release: Phoenix Sage Fire Technique, which he sometimes combines with shuriken to make it more powerful. He uses Fire Release to heat up the sky to use his most powerful “Kirin” attack.

His Great Fireball is superior to Itachi’s because, during their fight, Sasuke prevailed against his. His mastery of Fire Release is hereditary because all members of the Uchiha clan have a Fire Release chakra nature. Like Kakashi, Sasuke masters Lightning Release. His first Lightning Release technique was the Chidori.

His most powerful attack is called “Kirin” with which he causes a gigantic explosion thanks to the lightning in the clouds that he controls and which he knocks down on his opponent, but it requires the heating of the clouds with a Fire Release technique. He seems to be able to use the Blaze Release but it is unknown how he got it, whether it is a combination of primary chakra natures or a nature available through the Mangekyō Sharingan.
