How Strong Is the Falling Devil? Compared to Other Chainsaw Man Characters

Share:

The plot of Chainsaw Man keeps on heating up as more and more powerful Devils are getting introduced into the storyline in the manga. Of course, the latest Primal Devil to be introduced is the Falling Devil, one of the strongest Devils in the entire storyline. We’ve seen a lot of powerful Devils in Chainsaw Man, but the Falling Devil seems to be on par with some of the strongest. So, just how strong is the Falling Devil?

As one of the Primal Devils, the Falling Devil represents the primal fear of falling, which means that she is one of the strongest Devils in Chainsaw Man. She is arguably just as strong as the strongest Devil we’ve seen, which means she is far stronger than Makima and the Four Horsemen.

The Falling Devil may not sound like an incredibly strong Devil, but she is a primal fear and can defeat any opponent in the Chainsaw Man storyline. As such, the Falling Devil is the latest transcendent Devil to be introduced in the series, which means that Denji and the others will have a hard time dealing with this incredibly powerful creature.

Falling Devil’s Strength

One of the things that we know about the different Devils in Chainsaw Man is that they represent the fears of humanity. As such, the greater the fear is, the stronger the Devil is. That is why Devils such as the Control Devil and the Gun Devil are so powerful, as humanity greatly fears being controlled by someone or getting gunned down to death. But some Devils are even more powerful than all of the other Devils.

The Falling Devil is the latest incredibly powerful Devil to be introduced to the storyline. Of course, her name may not make her sound so terrifying, but the Falling Devil is one of the strongest, if not the strongest, Devils in the entire storyline. And that’s because she is a Primal Devil.

As mentioned, the Devils in Chainsaw Man represent the different fears of humanity and are stronger when they represent stronger fears. However, Primal Devils represent fears that are primal in nature. Primal fears are those that humanity has feared for as long as time itself. Of course, primal fears are natural within humanity, as all humans have these fears the moment they are born.

Because the Falling Devil represents the primal fear of falling, she is one of the strongest Devils we’ve seen so far and is so powerful that she is arguably at the top of the strongest Devils in the storyline of Chainsaw Man. And that’s because humans are born to have the natural fear of falling, the same fear that the Falling Devil represents.

Like all Primal Devils, the Falling Devil has never experienced death. That means that she has existed for as long as time itself and has never died even once, unlike some of the other Devils that have experienced cycles of death and rebirth during their lifetime. And the reason why the Falling Devil has never been killed is the fact that she is so powerful.

The Falling Devil once said in the latest arc in the manga that humanity has yet to possess any kind of weapon that is strong enough to kill or hurt her, as she instantly recovered from the wounds that were dealt her when the Devil Hunters tried to kill her. It is presumed that only incredibly strong supernatural weapons can hurt the Falling Devil.

On top of the fact that the Falling Devil is almost unkillable, she can also manipulate gravity. She can reverse gravity and have a person fly into the sky at a proportionate height to a past trauma. After reaching the maximum height concerning the person’s trauma, the person falls from the sky and is sent down to Hell through portals that the Falling Devil can conjure up freely.

As a Primal Devil, the Falling Devil also possesses all of the standard abilities of a Devil but is a lot stronger than almost any of the other Devils we’ve seen in the Chainsaw Man manga as of this writing. That is why the Falling Devil is at the top of the list of the strongest Devils in Chainsaw Man.

How Does Falling Devil Compare to Other Chainsaw Man Characters?

To see just how strong the Falling Devil is, let’s compare her to some of the other powerful characters in Chainsaw Man.

Chainsaw Man

Denji, with the powers of the Chainsaw Devil, is one of the strongest characters in Chainsaw Man and the only character that could erase a Devil from existence by consuming them and preventing them from returning to life after falling to Hell. That is why the Chainsaw Devil is the Devil that all the Devils fear the most. In that regard, Denji’s potential is through the roof, as it is often said that the Chainsaw Devil is second only to the Primal Devils.

Being second to the Primal Devils in terms of strength means that Chainsaw Man is still weaker than the Falling Devil. The Falling Devil effortlessly defeated Denji in the current arc. However, there’s a good chance that only he possesses the strength to defeat a Primal Devil as powerful as the Falling Devil.

Makima/Four Horsemen

Makima, as the Control Devil, was incredibly powerful because she could control other people and Devils. She is one of the Four Horsemen, a group of Devils that are equally as strong as each other and are said to be weaker only than the Primal Devils and the Chainsaw Devil. Despite that, Makima was strong enough to give Chainsaw Man some trouble because she strengthened herself using her ability to control people.

Despite becoming stronger than Chainsaw Man at one point, Makima is still weaker than the Falling Devil and the other Primal Devils, as she couldn’t even defeat the Darkness Devil. Of course, the War Devil, another member of the Four Horsemen, fled at the sight of the Falling Devil because she understood that she didn’t stand a chance against this Primal Devil.

Darkness Devil

Makima vs. the Darkness Devil: Who Won the Fight & How?

The only other Primal Devil introduced in the storyline as of this writing is the Darkness Devil, which represents humanity’s primal fear of the dark. As such, the Darkness Devil is a transcendent Devil that has never experienced death and is probably just as old as humanity. That is why not even Makima, who was incredibly powerful at that point, could defeat the Darkness Devil.

Because they are both Primal Devils, the Falling Devil and the Darkness Devil are probably just as strong as each other. We can’t say who is stronger between them as they have never fought one another. But the fact that the Falling Devil is arguably just as strong as the Darkness Devil makes her arguably the strongest Devil in Chainsaw Man as of this writing.
