Sasuke vs. Ichigo: Who Would Win in a Fight & Why?

Naruto and Bleach are certainly one of the most popular shōnen manga and popular anime franchises in modern history. A lot of people who have read/watched the one also did that with the other, and Naruto and Bleach have a very similar fanbase, as the two franchises themselves do share some similarities. And while Naruto continues in the form of Boruto, Bleach has been over for years now, but both are still enormously popular. Since both franchises rely on fighting, we have decided to compare two characters from the series – Sasuke Uchiha and Ichigo Kurosaki – and tell you which of them would win in a fight.

Ichigo would win in a fight against Sasuke. Due to the fact that Ichigo Kurosaki has progressed a lot by the end of Bleach, while Sasuke has become increasingly weaker as the series progresses, we have to go with Ichigo in this duel. By the time Bleach ended, Ichigo had become one of the most powerful characters in the series, being able to defeat Yhwach, which is definitely enough to surpass Sasuke, especially with the latter losing his special technique along the way.

You’re going to find out who Sasuke Uchiha and Ichigo Kurosaki are, as well as what their exact powers and abilities are. Sasuke Uchiha and his powers

Sasuke Uchiha is a fictional character from the manga and anime series Naruto, written and illustrated by mangaka Masashi Kishimoto. He was conceived to be the best friend of Naruto Uzumaki, the protagonist of the series, possessing numerous physical and psychological characteristics opposite to the latter.

He immediately demonstrates great skill in martial arts, so much so that Kakashi has to use both hands during the bell test. Later, before taking part in the exam to become Chunin, he improves further by copying the style of Rock Lee. He is endowed with superhuman speed, incredible reflexes, and extraordinary endurance, so much so that he can successfully sustain long battles against very powerful opponents (such as Itachi and Danzo) and even after having already sustained exhausting ones (such as against Kakashi and Naruto).

In the first part of the manga, he is branded by Orochimaru with the cursed sign of the sky, which improves his abilities at the expense of the increasing influence on him of the chakra of the legendary ninja. After the escape from Konoha, the Quartet of Sound makes him able to use the second level of it. When Sasuke uses this version of the brand, his skin turns dark gray, the sclera of both eyes turns black, and the hair grows thicker and takes on a lighter color and unfolds from the back two wings in the shape of hands.

After the bloody battle with Itachi, Sasuke loses the Cursed Sign but remains compatible with it, as he demonstrates on several occasions when he is saved thanks to this power by Jugo; always thanks to the training with Orochimaru. Sasuke obtains immunity to poisons and learns all the techniques of the latter related to snakes, but following the clash with Itachi, he loses them.

He also possesses a remarkable ability also in the use of illusory arts. However, not at his brother’s level: with the basic Sharingan, he still managed to save himself from Itachi’s Tsukuyomi to dialogue with the Fox in Naruto’s mind and to subdue the king of gods. Ichigo Kurosaki and his powers

Ichigo Kurosaki is a fictional character and the protagonist of the manga Bleach, as well as the anime adaptation of the same name. He was created by Tite Kubo and is a 17-year-old high-school student who can see ghosts. After an unfortunate incident, a Soul Reaper named Rukia Kuchiki transfers her powers to him so he can save his family, after which he becomes a Soul Reaper himself.

Ichigo does not rank like Shinigami, but his strength is great enough to fight on par with captain-level Shinigami. When in his Shinigami form, he already has great speed, and his strength is much greater. Because Ichigo has more spiritual power than his body can handle, he constantly leaks power. This prevents him from suppressing his spiritual power.

Ichigo’s Zanpakutō is called Zangetsu. Unlike other Shinigami, Ichigo’s Zanpakutō is always in the Shikai form. The Zanpakutō is so big because Ichigo cannot control his spiritual power. Zangetsu’s soul is a middle-aged man with sunglasses and a long cloak. He is portrayed as a wise and calm man who likes to test Ichigo in unusual ways.

Zangetsu’s Bankai is called Tensa Zangetsu. Ichigo’s Bankai causes his Zanpakutō to shrink, and his uniform changes. He can also move faster, and his reflex has improved. Zangetsu’s special attack is the Getsuga Tenshō, which launches an energy attack from the top of Ichigo’s sword. The soul of Tensa Zangetsu is a younger version of Zangetsu, about Ichigo’s age. He is also aggressive.

In addition to his Shinigami powers, Ichigo also has Hollow powers. After losing his first fight with Byakuya Kuchiki and losing his Shinigami powers with it, he went to train with Kisuke Urahara to regain the Shinigami powers. During that training, Ichigo also partially became a Hollow. The Hollow’s strength grows throughout the series.

Unlike Ichigo, the Hollow fights like a berserker. The Hollow disregards Ichigo’s injuries and surpasses Ichigo’s speed and strength. Ichigo has been taught to control the Hollow by the Vizards, who let him summon his Hollow powers without the Hollow taking control. After controlling the Hollow, Ichigo trains to extend the time he has to use the power. His limit is 11 seconds, but during his fight with Grimmjow Jeagerjaques, it is considerably longer.

After his fight with Aizen in Karakura city, all of Ichigo’s powers have disappeared, and he has become ordinary. But after training with Xcution, Soul Society has given him back his powers.

Sasuke Uchiha was quite powerful at his peak, but he wasn’t Yhwach-level powerful; there’s absolutely no way that Sasuke could defeat Yhwach, whereas Ichigo was able to do so (albeit with a little help from Ishida and Aizen). Ichigo is faster, has a more versatile set of powers, and is stronger even than peak-level Sasuke, let alone the significantly weakened version we know now. This is why Ichigo takes this one.
