How Strong is Xeno Goku? Compared to Other Goku Versions

We all know that Son Goku is the protagonist of the Dragon Ball franchise and that he is, in that aspect, one of its most interesting characters. Son Goku is the character who started the story, and once it ends, we assume that it will somehow end with him. From the story’s beginning, Son Goku has been growing as a character and has become significantly stronger in that period of time, but the main Goku is not the only version of the character we’ve seen. Xeno Goku is one of the most famous and powerful iterations of Goku, and he will be the focus of this article. Since we will talk about him, we can tell you that in this article, you will find out how strong he is.

The article is going to be divided into two major sections. The first one is going to represent Xeno Goku’s powers and abilities. In contrast, the other one will be a short comparison of Xeno Goku’s powers and abilities to the powers and abilities of other versions of Son Goku. These will not be detailed analyses, just brief comments so you can understand Xeno Goku’s position in the larger Dragon Ball lore.

Xeno Goku is an extremely powerful iteration of Son Goku

Xeno Goku is one of the strongest characters in the series, being described as the “most powerful Son Goku known” and the “strongest warrior.” He rivals Xeno Vegeta for the position of the most powerful unfused Time Patrol member. Depending on the medium in which he is represented, he can measure himself hand to hand or present a slight inferiority with warriors who use the Power of the gods, such as his present counterpart or Beat, his distant descendant, who can access Super Saiyan God, as well as Super Saiyan Blue, an enhanced version of this state.

Like all Saiyans, Xeno Goku can transform into a Gigantic Ape when he sees the full Moon and as long as he has his tail. He first transformed when he accidentally attacked his grandfather Son Gohan, first being observed using this state when he transformed into Pilaf Castle. In this transformation, his power increases ten times. Xeno Goku acquires the Super Saiyan transformation just like Son Goku did in the Frieza Arc on Planet Namek.

In this state, he undergoes a great change in his appearance: his eyes turn turquoise, his hair stands on end and turns yellow, his skin and clothes change hue, while a yellow aura appears surrounding his body, causing his skin to appear slightly lighter due to the reflected light.

His Super Saiyan 3 state is first shown in Super Dragon Ball Heroes 2. In this transformation, Son Goku Xeno drastically changes his appearance: his hair turns a darker blonde with shades of yellow-orange and grows to below his waist, his eyebrows disappear and are no longer visible, and his aura becomes more circular, and he gains more bioelectricity. In addition, his muscle mass increases considerably, implying that his strength also increases considerably.

Despite never being shown in the games, manga, or anime, at least within the 3DS Dragon Ball Heroes: Ultimate Mission X continuity and story exclusive, Xeno Goku mentions that he could once transform into a Super Saiyan God by receiving energy from his allies. However, it is implied that he could not transform back at will and control that power.

Like his Dragon Ball GT counterpart, Xeno Goku can access Super Saiyan 4. At this level, he obtains a fighting power almost identical to that of Son Goku Super Saiyan Blue, although he cannot match it, as noted in the manga, where both fight, and Xeno Goku end up losing the fight.

On the other hand, you can see a confrontation between Xeno Goku Super Saiyan 4 and Son Goku Super Saiyan Blue, in the anime Super Dragon Ball Heroes: Mission of the Universe, where the two fight very evenly, and a winner is not defined.

However, he does not usually use this form because its immense can cause alterations in history, using it only when necessary and when Chronoa allows it. In this transformation, Xeno Goku’s hair grows slightly past his shoulders and is not blonde but black with white highlights. He grows reddish fur all over his body and tail, except for his chest and face, the outline of his eyes are outlined in red, and his pupils turn yellow, in addition to having an increase in musculature.

When he activates this form, the upper part of his outfit completely disappears, as well as any equipment he is carrying, such as the Magic Staff. However, the lower part remains intact.

In the video game version of the Universal Genesis Arc, Son Goku Xeno briefly uses this advanced form of Super Saiyan 4 thanks to the Saiyan power that traditional Son Goku, Xeno Pan, and Xeno Trunks have transferred to him. With this transformation, Xeno Goku can maintain a more balanced fight with Black Janemba, but it is still not enough to defeat the demon, so the Vegeta of the traditional line finally agrees to transfer his Saiyan power, allowing the patrolman to break his limits, and reach an evolved form of this state.

Son Goku Xeno can access an evolved version of Super Saiyan 4, derived directly from Saiyan 4 to Ultra Power, after breaking his limits in the Universal Genesis Arc of Super Dragon Ball Heroes: Big Bang Mission. In this state, he maintains the physical appearance of Super Saiyan 4, with some notable differences such as changing the color of his body fur to a duller tone, or especially a reddish hair color, resembling that of Xeno Gogeta when he is in Super Saiyan 4.

Due to being an evolution from Saiyan 4 to Ultra Power, which features a reddish glow to the Saiyan’s hair. It also gains a powerful and intense aura of reddish, purple, and white colors, the result of the overflowing accumulation of ki that the user has absorbed.

Xeno Goku accesses a powerful power-up known as Ki Fusion after Chronoa links his energies with his present counterparts in a desperate attempt to stop Fu. The main characteristic of this state is the shared use of a great and vibrant golden aura that covers the body of both Saiyans, which has a half red half blue symbol in the background that shows the union of ki. Likewise, in this state, both warriors’ bodies are wrapped in sporadic discharges of blue and red bioelectricity.

How powerful is Xeno Goku compared to other Dragon Ball characters?

In this section, we will compare Xeno Goku to some other prominent versions of Son Goku, as seen in the Dragon Ball franchise. These will be brief comparisons whose main goal is to give you a general idea of his powers and abilities.

Xeno Goku vs. Son Goku

Although the two of them were on a relatively similar level of power when they clashed, this was due to Son Goku being in a much more powerful form. At their base forms, there is absolutely no doubt that Xeno Goku wins this one, as his powers far surpass those of Son Goku.

Xeno Goku vs. Future Goku

And while Future Goku was, up to a point, similar to Son Goku (the main version), after contracting the virus and stopping his evolution, he became weaker than the main version of Goku, which means that he is also significantly weaker than Xeno Goku, who would easily defeat him in a direct fight.

Xeno Goku vs. Goku Black

This would be a truly interesting match-up, as Goku Black is one of the strongest iterations of the character we’ve seen in the series. Goku Black is not only significantly stronger than mainstream Goku in his base form, but he also has some epic power-ups that one cannot simply ignore. Still, knowing how powerful Xeno Goku can become when his transformations and fusions are taken into consideration, we simply have to state that Xeno Goku would most probably win this one as well, as he has it in him to defeat even Goku Black.

Xeno Goku vs. CC Goku

This is probably the closest one will get to Xeno Goku, as Capsule Corp Goku from the Dragon Ball Hero universe is exceptionally strong, and since the stakes in this series were so much higher, as the enemies were also stronger, we can actually conclude that he is very close to Xeno Goku’s level of power. Would he win in the end? He probably would. CC Goku has managed to absorb and experience everything that the other Gokus did, so he ultimately defeats Xeno Goku as well.
