Naobito Zenin was introduced as a helpless drunk, but it turned out that he is an exceptionally powerful jujutsu sorcerer whose shills are more than impressive. During the epic fight with Dagon, Naobito demonstrated some exceptionally powerful skills and techniques, and it is not a surprise that many fans actually want to know what is going to happen to him later in the series. In this article, we will reveal that Naobito Zenin will die soon in Jujutsu Kaisen (as it has already happened in the manga), and the text you are about to read will reveal what exactly happened.

  • Article Breakdown:
  • Naobito Zenin is the current head of the Zenin Clan, an exceptionally powerful Jujutsu sorcerer. He was on the same team as Maki Zenin and Nobara Kugisaki but later ended up with Maki and Nanami.
  • The three of them faced off against Dagon, and Naobito was close to defeating the cursed spirit before he sucked them all in inside his Domain. There, he was seriously injured by Dagon, losing his right arm in the process. But he survived.
  • After sensing Dagon’s death – at the hands of Toji – Jogo came and first took care of Maki and Nanami, after which they faced off against Naobito and managed to set him on fire. He did not finish him off, but Naobito soon succumbed to his injuries and died.

How did Naobito Zenin lose his arm? Did it kill him?

In Shibuya, a party consisting of Kento Nanami, Naobito Zenin, and Maki Zenin went in search of Gojo, but they instead discovered Dagon. In his “baby form,” Dagon was weeping and appeared scared. He was also cowering behind a pillar. Although he gave off the impression of a fearful and helpless cursed spirit, it soon became apparent that he had consumed hundreds of people, spitting the skeletons of those he had devoured out of his lips as he transformed into a monster resembling a larva.

Dagon was growing more and more enraged by the moment, and the sorcerers wanted to get rid of him as soon as possible. Remembering his friends—most notably Jogo and the late Hanami—he eventually changed into his actual form, which resembles Cthulhu from Lovecraft.

He then went on to battle the heroes, but he had strong defenses, so even Naobito’s Projection Sorcery couldn’t defeat him because the two strong sorcerers couldn’t cast him out. The battle went on until it appeared like Naobito had a chance to kill Dagon, but he was unable, and Dagon used that opportunity to unleash his Domain, Horizon of the Captivating Skandha.

While in the Domain, Naobito initially resisted Dagon’s Death Swarm, empowered by the sure-hit rule, with his Falling Blossom Emotion, but he soon lost control. He got hit by several of Dagon’s Shikigami that began mauling at the old sorcerer. Dagon quickly gained the upper hand in battle, but Megumi’s surprise arrival changed the situation.

Dagon’s sure-hit rule stopped working, and everyone could now resist his Shikigami, with Megumi coming up with a plan on how to level the field. Naobito Zenin returned to the battle alive but without his right arm, claiming that it wasn’t much of a sacrifice but that Dagon would still pay.

As you can see, Naobito Zenin did not die from losing his arm, and he soon returned to the battle, fighting Dagon with Maki while Nanami was protecting Megumi. When Megumi told Nanami his plan, the latter summoned Naobito and Maki, but just as they were about to escape Dagon’s Domain, Toji entered it and took over the battle. So, what happened next?

Naobito Zenin died from the injuries sustained while fighting Jogo

Well, Toji being Toji, he immediately charged at Dagon. Dagon initially believed he would win because Toji lacked cursed energy, but he quickly discovered that Toji was incredibly strong and was unsure of how or why. Dagon tries to flee after realizing he is in a difficult situation, but Naobito stops him and helps Toji by doing that.

Toji then struck the afflicted spirit with Playful Cloud, stabbing him. He didn’t kill him at first, but he stabbed him so many times that the Domain just crumbled. Dagon tried to heal himself, saying that the battle was not yet ended, but Toji used Playful Cloud to negate him, stabbing him repeatedly until he was quickly exorcised.

So, what happened next? Well, with Dagon dying, his Domain was destroyed, and the sorcerers were freed. Naobito Zenin was heavily injured and wondered whether Toji, who was Naobito’s relative, was on their side or not. It soon turned out that Toji had no interest in anyone else besides his son, Megumi, so he took him to another location, leaving Maki, Naobito, and Nanami alone. But that was not the end of it.

Sensing that Dagon had been killed, Jogo arrived at the scene, and the three of them, already wounded and beaten, had to prepare for another fight with an exceptionally powerful cursed spirit.

Jogo quickly took care of Nanami and Maki, but Naobito – who had been focused on him from the beginning – could avoid his initial attack despite his injuries. Still, that was not enough, as Jogo soon hit Naobito with two of his Disaster Flames, which set the head of the Zenin clan on fire. And while Jogo did not finish him off, as he went to see what was going on with Sukuna’s fingers, it was the end for Naobito.
