The story of Suguru Geto in Jujutsu Kaisen is truly fascinating, and while most fans know about it, there are still some details that actually confuse fans, and this article will be dedicated to one of these details. Namely, the topic will focus on Geto’s private life, as we will tell you about Mimiko and Nanako, the two sisters he took care of before Gojo killed him in Jujutsu Kaisen 0.

Suguru Geto saved the twin sisters Mimiko and Nanako from a village he was on a mission in when they were small; he then took them with him and “adopted” them, so they became his “daughters.” He cared for them; they loved him like a father since he was their savior. When he died in Jujutsu Kaisen 0, and Kenjaku stole his body, they tried to make Sukuna kill Kenjaku to get Geto’s body back, but Sukuna ultimately killed them because he found them annoying. They weren’t really Geto’s daughters; he did not even legally adopt them, but they can be considered his “daughters” as he took care of them and was a father figure to the two of them.

The rest of this article will dig deeper into the relationship between Sugru Gero and the twins Mimiko and Nanako, as we will explain the true nature of their relationship and their shared story from the Jujutsu Kaisen series. This story is quite interesting, but it can still be a bit confusing if you observe it from a certain point of view, which is why we have come up with this article for you. Of course, some spoilers will be present, so be careful how you approach the text in question.

Did Geto have a family?

We all know who Suguru Geto is and how important he is for the Jujutsu Kaisen series. He was a former classmate of Gojo’s and his best friend before becoming disillusioned with his role in the world. Realizing how disgusting humans were, he started calling them “monkeys” and became a villain who was set on ridding the world of all non-sorcerers. In Jujutsu Kaisen 0, he was set on taking Yuta’s cursed spirit but was defeated by the young boy and eventually killed by Gojo. After his death, his body was taken over by Kenjaku, who – for a while – was known as Pseudo-Geto because of this.

However, the story of Pseudo-Geto is not relevant for this article. Here, we are going to discuss Geto’s private life. As far as his family is concerned, we know he had parents; no siblings have ever been mentioned, so we can assume he was an only child. As fans will know, Geto killed his parents right after becoming a villain, explaining that he could not make exceptions, not even for them, if he wanted to create his new, curse-free world without “monkeys.”

So, Geto did not have a family? Technically, no, but in practice, he took care of two young twin sisters, Mimiko and Nanako, who were like his “adopted” daughters. We are now going to tell you the story as it happened.

While he was still a student, Geto, after the death of Riko Amanai, went on more and more solo missions. One such mission took him to a little village outside of Tokyo. He performed his duties, but the village elders—two adults—a man and a woman—felt that it wasn’t enough. The two of them, who were furious and on the verge of psychosis, insisted on ordering him to kill two vulnerable young girls they had held captive because they hated him so much.

Geto tried to persuade them, telling them that he had completed his task of casting out the curse and that since he felt nothing from the two girls, they were perfectly harmless from that perspective. The two adults persisted, insulting the girls, making false accusations about them, and knowing full well that they were lying. Despite his protests, they continued to lie and demanded that Geto do something about them. As a result, Geto finally snapped, which is when he became a villain.

He slaughtered the whole village but took the two girls with him. He did not legally adopt them, of course, but since he sensed some potential in them (they were shunned by the villagers because of their powers, not because they had done something), he took them with him and cared for them as a father figure. So, as you can see, Geto did not have any daughters, not officially, but it seemed like he did.

As the leader of his own cult, Geto took care of the two girls, and they, in turn, were extremely loyal to him, fighting by his side regardless of what he did. They were grateful to him because he saved them, but they also cared for him since he was the only “parent” they really had and since he was a person who accepted them for who they were and who cared for them because of that, their bond was – naturally – very deep.

What happened to Mimiko and Nanako following Geto’s death?

We all know that Geto died at the end of Jujutsu Kaisen 0, whereas the twins did not. So, what happened to them later in the story? Let us examine that!

The two sisters reappear during the Shibuya Incident Arc, as we find out that Mimiko and Nanako acquired multiple Sukuna fingers in the meantime and used them as a trump card. It is unknown how close they were to Kenjaku, a.k.a. Pseudo-Geto, and whether they truly collaborated with him. The two girls confronted Kenjaku after the villain was successful in locking Gojo away in the Prison Realm and demanding the return of their hero’s body.

Kenjaku refused, and they left him, telling him that he would regret his decision. They soon encountered a very hurt Yuji, whom Choso had just beaten. They began feeding him Sukuna’s fingers when they got close to him. A local person named Jogo picked up on that and went to their location, where he injured the girls and took the fingers for himself.

Jogo hoped for a better outcome as he fed Sukuna more of his fingers, but Sukuna just waved him off and spoke to the girls, who quickly bowed before the King of Curses. When Sukuna consented to their request, they told him what they wanted: they wanted Sukuna to kill Pseudo-Geto so they could retrieve the real Geto’s body.

Sukuna ultimately did not appreciate their tone since it gave the impression that they were giving him orders, which he abhorred to the core. He didn’t listen to their cries, and in the end, before they could react, he killed them both. So, yeah, Sukuna brutally killed them, and that is what happened to them later in the story.
