Talking about anime, INFPs are those fictional characters that have a strong sense of justice, kindness, sacrifice, and loyalty. 20. Crona (Soul Eater)

Crona is a shy young person whose gender has not been revealed. Crona is a major antagonist in the series Soul Hunter, where they were raised and abused by both Medusa and Ragnarok. Crona suffered the worst in the series, causing a series of negative thoughts to rush to her mind, making them villainous people. 

They showed some seriously mentally ill side of themself that couldn’t be resisted because they didn’t know what was right and what was wrong. Crona became a psychopath after their childhood where they were born and bred to kill and kill only, making it the only purpose of their life. 

After meeting some new and stable people, Crona started changing and made some changes in their behavior when they realized what was wrong with her and what could be corrected.

Neji Hyuga, a member of the branch family of the Hyuga clan, suffered major losses early in his childhood that made him hate his own clan so much that he intended to kill his cousin. Neji was the most talented student in his class and came to the top in his exams. Scarred from his past, Neji believed that you could do nothing to change your destiny, not even hard work. 

He thought that being born into the branch family meant that he would always be a servant to them, and nothing more could be done about it. When he fought Naruto, a weak kid at the time, he realized that destiny could be changed through hard work and determination, and talent is not the only thing required to succeed. 

Neji changed his ways and became loyal to his clan after finding out the truth about his father’s death. He stopped hating his cousin Hinata, made a closer bond with her, and started training her to make her as strong as possible (as she was the heir to the clan’s leadership). When the ninja war started, Neji played a vital role in the success and, in the end, sacrificed his life for Naruto and Hinata and making Naruto realize there is so much more worth fighting for.

When she notices that a boy is reading all the books she reads, she becomes curious and gets inspired by him, and at the end of the film, the boy eventually becomes his love partner.

Yamaguchi is a character from the volleyball anime Haikyuu. He is a substitute on the Karasuno high-school team. Even though he doesn’t play much and is aware that he lacks talent compared to others, Yamaguchi works extremely hard, even after normal practice sessions, to improve in one department of the game, “floater serve”. 

He visits a local former volleyball player to help him in it as he slowly learns to do it and manages to outgrow the once scared kid who couldn’t show his talent due to fear. He gets along with all of the team and usually stays quiet, and is only friends with one person who is also on the team. He helps him whenever he’s feeling down, doubting himself, or frustrated; Yamaguchi keeps him in check and grounded.

Shigeo Kageyama from Mob Psycho 100 is a young boy who discovers that he has power connected to his emotions. He can hurt people when he’s angry. In the beginning, he fails to control it and hurts several people, but he learns to keep his emotions in check to keep the people around him safe. He is a socially awkward person who doesn’t give much attention to what people are thinking. 

He stays quiet and likes to avoid people, which became stronger when he found out about his power. Later, he makes friends and makes special bonds with them, and is always willing to risk his life whenever they’re in danger.

14. Chifuyu (Tokyo Revengers)

Chifuyu from Tokyo Revengers anime is vice-captain of a squad led by Baji Keisuke. He is part of a gang that squad leaders form. Chifuyu is a highly loyal person who is most dedicated to his leader, Baji. When Baji leaves the gang for the enemy gang and decides to wage war on them, Chifuyu tries everything he can to get him back, even getting an ugly beating by Baji himself. Chifuyu, along with the protagonist, figures out that Baji has not left out of hate but is planning ahead to find out the rat in the gang. 

When the battle between the two gangs begins, Baji doesn’t admit to being a double agent and is nowhere to be found until later on, he appears and starts beating the mole among his former gang. 

Chifuyu realizes what Baji is doing and starts helping him, but in the end, it all goes in vain when Baji sacrifices his life to protect his friends from being destroyed.

Chiyuki is a young girl from the anime Death Parade. Chiyuki is a kind but strong-willed person who says whatever is on her mind when needed. She tends to stay quiet and doesn’t interfere in anything or anyone’s business, doesn’t like to give her opinions on anything, and likes to be with herself with little or no human interaction. 

Chiyuki is with Decim, who’s sort of a leader around there and makes the majority of the decisions and holds great power in his hands. Chiyuki is extremely loyal to him despite having many disagreements with him. She puts all her energy into completing tasks given by Decim and is ready to hurt anyone who comes her way. 

Despite Decim holding great power, Chiyuki isn’t scared of this and makes her opinions heard if she thinks Decim’s wrong and must be corrected or else it will hurt him and the people around them.

Shikamaru Nara is one of the smartest characters in the whole Naruto Franchise. He is capable of making strategies on the spot and leads his team to victory. He was the first person in his class to get promoted to a higher level. He is a reserved person who only talks when needed and always keeps the people he cares about in check. 

He observes what his friends are doing and helps them when they are struggling. Despite losing many people close to him, Shikamaru was one of the first people to take on a responsibility among kids and realize that it’s time for their generation to shoulder the burdens and mature. 

Shikamaru plays a significant role in the great ninja war, becomes a vice leader of his squad, and makes many decisions that help in the war. In the end, his wittiness secured him a job as the advisor of the sixth and seven Hokage.

Junpei from Jujutsu Kaisen was shown to be a high school kid who got bullied pretty hard by his classmates. He didn’t have any friends and was alone, lonely, and depressed. He always kept to himself, ate alone, went to the movies alone, and did everything alone besides when his mother was home. 

After meeting with a special grade cursed spirit, Mahito, Junpei joined him when he saw Mahito killing the bullies. Junpei became his pawn and did errands for him as revenge on the world. He became friends with the protagonist Itadori Yuuji and started realizing how he was wrong. Mahito kills his mother to make him full of hatred and completely become the dark being he does in the end.

Junpei goes on a rampage and starts killing many people when Itadori arrives and tries to convince him, to which Junpei attempts to kill him as well. Mahito, completing his mission and getting full use of Junpei, disfigures him moments after Junpei realizes what was right and wrong.

10. Erwin Smith (Attack on Titan)

The commander of the Survey Corps, Erwin Smith, was a dedicated person who wanted to free humanity from the shackles of Titan. After hearing a theory about what might be beyond the walls, Erwin made a promise to himself to achieve this dream no matter what. 

He sacrificed many of his men and his arm and got punished due to his plans. He was a genius who was ten steps ahead of the enemy and was ready to give up on his life if needed. In the end, he had to choose between his dream and the people, and he ended up sacrificing his life so the others could survive and possibly have a better future.

9. Light Yagami (Death Note)

Light Yagami is the protagonist of the popular series Death Note. Yagami was an intelligent boy who used to ace every test in his school and college. He hated criminals and wanted them dead. When he found a mysterious book that kills anyone whose name is written on it, Light began his journey as a peacemaker who killed people that were in Jail. 

This brought attention, and many people started calling him Kira, who served justice, while others opposed him and wanted him dead. He joined a police force that was assigned to catch him, alongside the Greatest Detective’ L’, and the mind games began. L knew Light was Kira but didn’t have any proof, but they still worked together; both being extremely smart, had a back-and-forth. 

After killing L, Yagami called himself a god whose sole purpose in the world is to serve justice. In the end, the Shinigami that gave him the book killed him just like he promised him in the beginning.

8. Rem (Death Note)

Rem was a Shinigami who dropped her Death Note into the hands of Misa Amane, AKA Second Kira. Rem was an extremely loyal person who was ready to kill and die for Misa if needed. She gave Misa all the information regarding the book and served her like Misa was her master; she helped Misa meet Light Yagami and would always be on her guard to protect her no matter what. 

This quality worked against her when Light, who was extremely intelligent, manipulated everyone in the police force, including her, and made Rem kill L (Light’s arch-nemesis), which resulted in Rem’s death (Shinigami can only die if they kill someone for the sake of a human).

7. Killer (One Piece)

Killer is a tall, muscular guy who is very reserved and doesn’t speak much. He is also a pirate who is extremely loyal to his team, captain especially, family, and close friends. He doesn’t like to share many secrets but always keeps others’. 

He is a calm, relaxed person who doesn’t panic in almost any situation, and when things get tough and hard, he trusts the people he cares about and puts his faith in them in One Piece anime.

6. Hinata Hyuga (Naruto Series)

Hinata Hyuga was first introduced as a young, shy girl who had a crush on the main character, Naruto. She is the heiress of her clan, the Hyuga clan, who considers themselves the mightiest in the village. Hinata is not the type of girl who likes to fight or throw her hands until necessary. 

Despite her softness, she worked very hard to not get behind others and strived to reach the level of skill of his cousin, Neji. At various moments, we’ve seen that Hinata has put her body on the line to protect Naruto and has dedicated her life to him, and has stayed loyal to him throughout the series.

5. Ken Kaneki (Tokyo Ghoul)

Ken Kaneki from Tokyo Ghoul is definitely an INFP and deserves to be on the list; he is portrayed as a quiet person who likes to read books in the library, doesn’t talk to people, and keeps to himself. Even when he became a Ghoul, his personality trait didn’t change dramatically (as it should’ve), and he stayed like he was when he was a normal student studying Japanese literature.

Armin Arlert is one of the main characters of Attack on Titan. A young boy who became a soldier after a titan destroyed their homes and took peace from them forever. Armin is an intelligent person who specializes in devising strategies and plans that helped him climb the ranks of the Survey corps very quickly despite his poor battle skills. 

Armin made many intelligent decisions that helped the people inside the wall, a chance to live in peace once more, a world without titans. He is a quiet person who only talks around people he’s comfortable with and doesn’t like to involve himself in arguments and conflicts. He only hangout with selected people who he trusts entirely and will be ready to give his life for them at all times.

3. Nagato/Pain (Naruto Shippuden)

Nagato was a villager of the Hidden Rain Village who was always involved in some kind of war that destroyed the lives of many children. Nagato was one of them; he lost his parents and was left alone to survive with no food, water, or shelter. Nagato started living with two other kids, and all of them were taken in by Jiraiya (famous hidden leaf ninja) for a few years. 

Nagato awakened the most powerful eyes in the world, Rinnegan, and strived for his dream to make this world clean of wars and hatred. Unfortunately, he went on the wrong path and created an organization that killed many people in the name of peace. Nagato became Pain, as he killed his teacher Jiraiya, then destroyed the leaf village to attain peace. 

After his talk with Naruto, he realized that there was still hope left in the world, as he used his Rinnegan and gave rebirth to all the leaf villagers he killed and died in the process.

Alphonse Elric, brother of protagonist Edward Elric, lost his whole body when he and his brother tried to resurrect their mother. He lived in armor for many years and was on a journey to get his body back with his brother. 

Alphonse was a kind person who even talked very kindly to villains. He has a strong sense of justice and tries to do everything in his power to achieve it and helps people that need it the most. Due to his personality, Alphonse made new friends who were loyal to him and were ready to give their life for him as he was and made sure to help him in his journey to get his body back.

The Kazekage of the hidden sand village, Gaara, makes the top of the list due to him being a perfect INFP. Earlier in the series, it was shown that he was a really kind-hearted child. Still, due to the hate and disgust given by the villagers due to a tailed beast sealed in him, Gaara became a cold-hearted murderer who killed so that he could get some form of acknowledgment from humans. 

After he redeems himself, Gaara became the leader of his village and became a close friend of Naruto, and was ready to sacrifice his life for him whenever needed. He is a quiet person who only talks to his siblings, Naruto, or when he has to speak to his villagers. He is not a shy person but tends to speak only when necessary.
