Anime characters appear in all shapes and sizes. They also appear under a variety of names. Some anime characters have first and last names; some have nicknames, and some have… well, they are always known as something. In that aspect, it is important to remember all of these names and that is why we have decided to bring you this list. This list is going to contain a list of anime characters that start with the letter D. They will be sorted alphabetically by the names they are known best, whether it is their first name, last name, or their nickname.

1. D (Vampire Hunter D)

D is a dhampir, the son of a human, and Dracula, the king and god of the vampires. It is only known that he is a hunter of vampires and creatures of the night, which has given him some recognition. He lives tormented because he does not want to be a vampire, but he is not accepted by humans either. He has a symbiote that inhabits his left hand.

2. Daemon (Digimon Adventure 02)

Daemon (or Demon) is a Mega-level Demon Lord Digimon that debuted in Digimon Adventure 02. Daemon is one of the Seven Great Demon Lords, representing Jupiter and the sin of Wrath. He leads the many Devil and Fallen Angel Digimon, and like Devimon, it was originally an Angel Digimon, and a particularly high-ranking one. He was able, all by himself, to take care of three Jujutsu Sorcerers, including two from Class 1, and could have won against them if Toji didn’t join the fight.

4. Daidōji, Tomoyo (Cardcaptor Sakura)

Tomoyo is the daughter of Sonomi Daidouji (cousin of Nadeshiko Kinomoto, Sakura’s mother), president of a large toy and technology company. She is a second cousin and Sakura’s best friend and goes in the same room as her. She is rich but very simple. She is 10 years old, her birthday is September 3, and she is Virgo. She has a wonderful voice, which she shows off when she sings in the choir.

5. Daki (Demon Slayer)

Daki is considered a powerful Demon, whom Muzan personally recognized as a “special Demon.” She was able to overwhelm and maintain an advantage over Tanjiro Kamado, Nezuko Kamado, Zenitsu Agatsuma, and Inosuke Hashibira – all of whom were talented fighters. She maintained her original claims as one of the Upper Moons of the Twelve Moon Demons. However, her rank and position among the Moons are only due to her brother’s powers and abilities, which enhance her own.

6. Dante (Devil May Cry)

Dante is a hybrid demon whose father was the legendary dark knight Sparda, and his mother a human. Dante is a demon hunter, taking jobs that involve killing them. Following his arrest as an agent of Baroque Works, he was imprisoned in Impel Down before escaping during the Great Escape from Impel Down. Son of the Master Shinigami (as evidenced by his name), Kid is therefore destined to become a shinigami and thus succeed his father. However, Kid has a problem: he is a dangerous monomaniac of perfect symmetry, hence his choice to have two partners (which requires double the souls for the transformation into Death Scythe); he only supports symmetrical things; otherwise, they have no interest for him (several times in the series he will return home to check if a frame, a candle, a carpet, or anything else is not well placed, leaving his companions in full battle). Also, if an enemy is symmetrical, he is unable to attack it. He is somewhat arrogant with his powers.

12. Decim (Death Parade)

Decim is the Bartender of the Quindecim; he supervises and referees the death games. He likes to make models that look like the guests he has judged in the past in order to remember them because his memory fades after a while. He seems to have and does not understand any human emotions. However, as he makes his judgments with Chiyuki, he will realize that the best way to perfect his work is to feel human emotions as well. His power is that he can bring out sorts of unbreakable strings.

13. Deidara (Naruto)

Deidara is a practitioner of Bakuton, the chakra nature of explosions, allowing him to craft clay sculptures that detonate through his chakra. However, his creations are susceptible to reason, and an electric shock can prevent them from exploding. Deidara’s ability to fight is contingent on the availability of clay for his sculptures.

14. Delta (Boruto)

Delta was one of the “Inners” of the Kara organization. After her initial deactivation and Amado’s defection to Konohagakure, she would reprogram Delta to be a weapon that could defend Konoha.

15. Dende (Dragon Ball Z)

24. Donquixote Doflamingo (One Piece)

Don Quixote Doflamingo is a former Celestial Dragon and the captain of his gang. He has eaten from the thread fruit, with which he can create threads. With these threads, he can control people, cut everything like a knife or link them to the clouds to swing through the air. In keeping with his surname Doflamingo, he dresses in a cloak of pink feathers. He refers to his crew members as “family”.

Doppo is Dazai’s coworker, whom he always scolds for his antics. He used to be a math teacher, and he tends to write and plan every second of his day in his notebook. His ability is called Lone Poet, inspired by the writing of the writer Doppo Kunikida, which allows him to create any object he writes in his notebook, as long as this object is not larger than the notebook itself.

Doraemon is the main character of the series, a cat-shaped robot assembled with 22nd-century technology and capable of feeling emotions like any human being. He traveled back in time to the present at the request of Sewashi Nobi to take care of his great-great-grandfather, Nobita Nobi, in order to change the living conditions of the latter and his descendants. Doraemon carries with him the Yon-jigen Poketto that has stored all kinds of gadgets from the 22nd century that are used to help Nobita and the rest of the characters.

32. Dragneel, Natsu (Fairy Tail)

Monkey D. Dragon is Luffy’s father and Garp’s son.
