Supergirl is the name of several fictional superheroines appearing in DC comics. The most famous character to carry the mantle of Supergirl is Kara-Zor-El the cousin of Superman. From her first appearance in Action Comics #252 in 1959, Supergirl was featured in films, live-action television series, animated series, video games, and various other forms of media. Most recently Supergirls was featured in her stand-alone show that aired from 2015 to 2021.
